I guess they took it off the site to keep the horde from buying multiple copies today. They do have them in store if you can find a store with them in stock. Even when it was online I found the "pick up in store" info to be very unreliable. I found mine in stores that it said were "out of stock-unavailable for store pickup", I picked up a second bridge today. Also stores near me are still marking sets up above retail after the initial release.

Yeah I don't have any near me so online was my only option.

Amazon still has it for $80

^ True, but by then the newer sets will likely have the TRU markup. The bridge having the 20% off now while still at its standard $99.99 isn't a bad deal. When TRU bumps the price in a few months, 20% off of $119.99 (or something along those lines) isn't nearly as inticing.
TRU for the most part stopped marking up sets in 2016. Not saying they won't again, but you'll notice most 2016 sets are still at MSRP.
I don't know if it's so much that they stopped doing it or that they don't mark them up until after they have been on the shelves for a bit.  I've noticed my local TRU sells them at retail when they first hit shelves but then they mark them up, usually before deals.
  • CaptainRogersCaptainRogers Member Posts: 869
@prevere True but i have like $10 in TRU rewards and some gift cards as well. $80 isn't bad, but the price would be a lot better if I could use my TRU credits.

The TRU by me had one in stock when I went into the store, but I wanted to order online through my CC for pickup so I could get bonus cash back plus to get me over the edge for next level of TRU reward bucks. Since it was gone, had to do the target with red card deal. Wanted to give TRU the business, oh well.

My tru showed "3 on the floor" but they were nowhere to be found. Associates couldn't find either.
  • jlpythonjlpython Member Posts: 77
I couldn't pass this one up either - with $5 in rewards and the $10 off $75, the out-the-door price with tax at TRU was $70.19. Thanks for the heads-up on this, folks --

Where does one find this $10 off $75 coupon?

If anyone still needs one just got an in stock notification on Iconic Easter #5004468 from TRU.  Here is a link:

Mine came affixed to a TRU mailer from a couple weeks ago; I don't remember the purpose or content of the mailer as I simply removed the coupon and tossed the rest.

Thanks for the link.  :)  I wanted this minifig, and missed out because we went to the store when it was only offered online because of a confusing email from Lego. By the time we got home it was already sold out.  Thanks again. :)

@jlpython nice. I got several over the summer but not this one. Hopefully it's waiting in my mailbox at home!

The $10 coupon came attached to a mailing from TRU valid August 4-27

    http://www.olcatalog.com/sports-toys/toys-r-us-circular.html

Hopefully a new one will be sent out for September,I have been getting various coupons thru out the year. If you're not on the mailing list call 1-800-ToysRUs and ask them to add you for circular mailing, not email.

Well I got all the previous ones through the summer. The coupon I got was I think just 15% off one regular item and it expired the 23rd I believe.
  • eggsheneggshen Member Posts: 602
The one I got was 15% off one item, unless that item is something you've been thinking about purchasing (I'm looking at you, Nintendo 2DS).

I never get the $x off $y purchase coupons, only percent off.
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
Gave in and bought a second #76057 Web Warriors Bridge Battle. 20% off + $10 in rewards = 30% off.

There were still two lefts at the Mission Viejo TRU.
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
@eggshen Don't like the Nintendo 3DS? I have, and like the New 3DS XL.
  • eggsheneggshen Member Posts: 602
@JooTog I have small kids and concerns about the 3D effect harming vision. I know you can turn it off but still..

Also, I have had to replace the entire chassis on all of our Nintendo DS units, since my older kids broke the hinges on those back in the day. I'm guessing that my younger kids will break the hinges on the 3DS units.

The 2DS is the perfect solution, no 3D, no hinges. I like the new price at $80 USD, it would have been even better at 15% off, but reading the fine print on the TRU coupons all video game hardware is excluded. So I will still get a couple but I was hoping to get one tomorrow with my coupon.

I don't know- the hinges on these things are remarkably durable- our local library has a couple anyone can check out, and it took about 3-5 years for the hing on one of the DS Lites to start to go.

Great deal, free set today! Captain America mosaic is being given out today. They sometimes give them out to adults, so hopefully they are in a good mood today!

The TRU near Willowbrook Mall in Houston, TX had quite a few #76057 when I went there this morning. They had the set on the top shelf of the endcap as well as in the Super Hero section.

They also had Tanker Truck Takedown in stock.

It was a pleasant surprise since I was only really expecting to find the TRU exclusive Nexo set.
  • FurstynhFurstynh Member Posts: 9
TRU has 20% off when you spend $75. Excludes their "hard to find" sets and maybe Dimensions because they are video game accessories. Everything else appears to be fair game including new release sets.

Hey, I stacked the 20% off $75 with the BOGO 40% Speed Champions and just picked up the 75913 Ferrari Truck AND 75876 Porsche Pit Lane and it came out to just under $130! I was waiting for a deal to get those.

The 20% deal is online only and good for Monday and Tuesday, so if you want to stack with the BOGO 40% off Speed Champions/Jurassic World/Minecraft don't delay.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Wow, had been thinking about picking up the #75916 as it has the only dinosaur we haven't yet got from the JR theme, checked out this deal only to see they've now marked it up to $39.99 instead of the RRP of $29.99.

So that's a 33% markup before they apply the BOGO40 minus the 10% off which brings it to $57.60 (plus tax) on two $30 sets.

So in all a whopping 4% savings off RRP!

    Woo!

SAVEMORE also applies to CMF (16 and Disney available) and to cleareance sets (not much on that front. It's also stacking with the 3DS games 2x15 discount (relevant because the are some LEGO games that are available ;))

Unfortunately, the markups are still happening. Fun In The Park was marked up at my local TRUs almost immediately after hitting shelves. Some of the other City sets have also already started to follow suit.

There must be an agreement though with TRU and Lego that initial set prices are MSRP but after a period of 60 days or 3 months (or something like that), then the markup can begin.

That has been my experience at TRU. A couple of months after the release then the price jumps $1, $2, $3...per set.

Same here.  On the plus side, if your local TRU is as good as mine about price matching, it's a non issue. They will easily price match Lego Shop, Amazon, or any other retailer.  On one occasion they refused to match Amazon Prime pricing, but usually they will do that too.  I told the story on here before, but I even got them to price match a price on BrickSeek's Walmart stock checker.
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
Yup. Mike are great about price matching. But...they don't include sales or promos when they price match. So no free polybags or % discounts if they also price match.

Thanks for the heads up! Saw the calendar for only 32, OK deal, but still pricey for me for an advent calendar.
  • LegogramLegogram Member Posts: 321
@Shpadoinkle Thanks for the information!  My grandkids love those Advent Calendars, and this deal is better than double points at lego.com.  And, I love them too. :-)

Thanks @Shpadoinkle! Grabbed the 2016 Star Wars Advent Calendar.

Does everybody actually wait for the countdown in December, or opened right away? :-)
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
@JooTog Which TRU and did they have a lot on the shelves?
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
@BrickDancer The one in Mission Viejo. There were at least 3 left. They were not at the Star Wars section, but on the side to the right of the speed champions sets.

When I have had Advent calendars I have always opened them by the date in December, just more Christmas-y that way for me.

^ Me too. Except last year, I bought the Star Wars one so early, I completely forgot about it. Fast forward to last weekend and I found it in the closet still sealed. Oops!

TRU Canada had several exclusives go on sale today. Sydney Opera House, Palace Cinema, Parisian Restaurant and Fairground Mixer are 20% (and all out of stock at the moment). Nice to see sales on exclusives.

20% off on all Super Heroes Marvel and DC sets, as well as Disney Princess. The online add said "selected sets" for Disney Princess, but in the store it said "all sets".

Stopped in to TRU today for Cogsworth, and found a bunch of #5004406 First Order General on the shelf.  Got to the register and it rang up "No sale until 09/25".  I was lucky and the manager overrode the sale for me, but it does show when they are available.  Good luck and happy hunting!

It probably helped I stop in there fairly often and the manager knows me my sight.

Actually, they have told me i'm their best customer  lol.  Guess i'm not a good enough customer to break the rules.  Oh well, they have done other things to help me, and I have no complaints with the local staff.  Now their pricing is a different matter.
