I saw Angry at BOGO 40% off, the week they launched. I almost bought a couple pirate ships...but then thought the better of it.
If the ship hits 30%, I'll likely buy several. Really great parts pack. I'm tempted at 20 even.

@BuriedinBricks I grabbed it on Sunday at 20% off. Fun little build and looks really nice; I have not seen the movie, so I do not know how accurate it is to the source material.

On Deals: Their summer catalog arrived yesterday. Prices valid July 1 - 23.
    - Free Bionicle figure with a LEGO purchase of $40 or more.
    - #75142 Star Wars Homing Spider Droid $24.99
    - #41175 Elves Fire Dragon's Lava Cave $34.99
    - #41122 Friends Adventure Camp Tree House $74.99
    - #60129 City Police Patrol Boat $44.99
    - #10725 Juniors Ninjago Lost Temple $24.99
    - #10826 Duplo Disney Junior Miles' Stellosphere Hanger $29.99
    - Mega Bloks... just kidding!

That's all the LEGO listed in the catalog. There is also a $10 off a $75 or more purchase.

Toys "R" Us has 15% off  regular price items today.
  • tomahawkertomahawker Member Posts: 207
Typical screwed up TRU web site.  It's saying that Lego is excluded from the 15% sitewide discount, but the discount is showing up in my cart.

However, I can't get the free Bionicle item to stack.  Has anyone cracked the code on this?
  • erequenaerequena Member Posts: 52
There is only a couple of Bionicle items that can be used, basically the canon fodder bad guys. Have you tried with those?
  • tomahawkertomahawker Member Posts: 207
Yup, tried with 70791 Skull Warrior.  No Dice.

To be honest, I bagged it.  The site is such a mess and I know I would run into another problem either with my promo discount or cashing in reward points.  I would rather go to the store on Thursday, get my additional 10% discount with the TRU credit card and get extra reward points.

Anyone know if the 20% on speed champions is in store as well?
  • ReesesPiecesReesesPieces Member Posts: 1,131
I was able to get the Bionicle with the order of my ghostbusters today.

    Not sure.

I don't recall any signage from my last visit a few days ago.

I do remember seeing the online prices different from the shelf prices in store.
Some online sale prices weren't matching shelf prices when scanned.

I don't see them as 20% off online, at least when I opened my TRU app. Are they on sale?

They were when I posted.  Guess it is over.

Well dang. I'm still hoping to pick up the $70 Porsche set, and since TRU is the only retailer other than Lego to carry them, these sales are my best shot.
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
^ Yeah I only need the ferrari semi truck one and since they have it overpriced I wanted a sale so I can pick it up thursday with 10% off and use my $10 rewards

  • CaptainRogersCaptainRogers Member Posts: 869
Yup. I would like get the Ferrari truck and collect the whole line of Speed Champions, but it isn't essential. If I can get it for around $60 or so (hoping it will go on clearance soon and then a sale might knock the price down some more), then I'll grab it.
  • 77ncaachamps77ncaachamps Member Posts: 2,442
Can't you get if for 15% off during their current sale?
  • CaptainRogersCaptainRogers Member Posts: 869
I didn't see any speed Champions on sale at all. Plus, the set doesn't have as high appeal as others, so it will need to be a pretty good percentage off before I bite.
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
My TRU had the Ferrari Truck set #75913 on sale when I went today.  Was 20% off their $109.99 price so it was 87.99 plus it was 10% thursday with the CC.  I'm now Speed Champion complete!

sorry, this is not a deal but it's available now at $29.99

Forget finding any bargains at TRU. They have increased the price of the lovely 60134 Fun in the Park City People Pack from 39.95US to 44.99 in their Raleigh NC store this week. I purchased a couple using Rewards dollars when they first arrived at the list price of $39.95 over a month ago. Sigh!

TRU @ Mission Viejo suddenly had one #60083 Snowplough Truck... at $15.78.

I already have two, so I left it there.

#76057 Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge 20% off among other Super Heroes set.

Thinking about getting a second one to expand the bridge... whenever I decide to build it.

Surprised to see a sale on this one so quick!  That's a good enough deal for me to jump at it.  I've been wanting to get my hands on the Scarlett Spider minfig since this set was announced.

I think they made the mistake of picturing it in their sale ad, so now they have to honor it.

Went to my "local" store today to stack my $10 off $75 coupon and get the bridge for my wife and their shelves were empty.  Talked to an associate and she said they would be getting more in a day after the sale ends...

I'm no conspiracy nut but this was a little much...
  • spepperspepper Member Posts: 157
Amazon is also match pricing #76057, $79.99 atm
  • MrJ_NYMrJ_NY Member Posts: 592
I also picked up  76057 from TRU, ended up getting it for $54 after cashing in some rewards points. Looks like they've extended their sale, was surprised to see it marked down since it just came out.

TRU usually does a 20% off Sale on themes when they come out. Last week it was Nexo Knights, which was recently released, a couple of weeks ago it was Ninjago. I'm hoping the next one will be city so I can pick up all the Volcano Explorers sets. Not sure why they do that by is seems to be the pattern.
  • LegogramLegogram Member Posts: 321
@Shpadoinkle I called my local TRU yesterday, and they were also "out" of the set.  However, I called today and they just got 2 sets in.  They have set one back for me to pick up tonight after work.  You might want to check with your store again, just in case.  I'll let you know later if I managed to get it or not.  I want to use my coupon too.  That will probably be the next issue.

Unfortunately for me the closest store is a 30-40 minute drive, and I went ahead and used the coupon yesterday as I didn't forsee getting to a store again before it expires.

I have no idea what was going on at that store.   Several higher value sets that are on sale were missing from the shelves with strange handwritten red marks on the tags.
  • LegogramLegogram Member Posts: 321
^ That does sound odd.  I assumed that they would not have the set, so I called to save a trip, since I have 20-25 minute drive.  It will be interesting to see what they have in stock at the store.
  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
Picked up the bridge. Was taking a buying vacation while I got the Lego closet organized, but 20% off a set I was definitely going to get sooner or later is enough for me to drive to TRU on my lunch break.

I bought the bridge set also.  The price was too tempting.  I ordered online, then picked it up at the store.  I did that because one time I saw something listed as available at our store on the website, but wasn't once I got to the store.  Too far to drive to be disappointed.  I have been buying too many sale sets lately, so think this set will be put away for a rainy day.

Sometimes a discount like this could not be seen again for the set's life duration, or become a permanent fixture for it. So hard to tell these days.

Given that "20% off all Marvel Sets" is a fairly often recurring sale at TRU, I'd say it will happen plenty of times over the next two years.

^ True, but by then the newer sets will likely have the TRU markup. The bridge having the 20% off now while still at its standard $99.99 isn't a bad deal. When TRU bumps the price in a few months, 20% off of $119.99 (or something along those lines) isn't nearly as inticing.

Target.com is also price matching the $79.99 price.  Free shipping or in-store pickup + 5% redcard discount if you have one.  For some reason the Bricklink BUY page is showing the discount but if you click through it will reflect the discount on the Target.com item page.

I got mine at TRU with the 20% off and used a $10 coupon in store.  I am happy with a total 30% discount.  They seem to be keeping stores at just a few sets.  My store didn't have any on Sunday, but received 2 in on Monday.

TRU for the most part stopped marking up sets in 2016. Not saying they won't again, but you'll notice most 2016 sets are still at MSRP.

^Mark up happened to me last week at TRU. So it didn't stop for me at least.
