^ I thought 500 2x2 grey tiles was sufficient for my sidewalk.  I think I'm wrong by a factor of 10.

And I built this today.  Very impressed by the design, and how well it sits with the Maersk diesel.  Just need to find me some stickers...

Built this tall Townhouse model as inspired by the Market Street design, garage is big enough to park a bus :-)

Can still add other colour blocks like black, white, green, orange etc if required.

It was built mostly referencing the Market Street instructions with swapped colours. Mine don't have any interior details at all.

^ The extra fences on those big glass windows really finishes off the look there, well done. I also like the black/white colour scheme. I don't collect modulars (although my wife likes the look of them, so who knows) but I can appreciate the techniques - just need some minifigs waving out of the windows now (IMHO).

Thanks! There are 9 minifigures hiding in the bus :)

    This:

The Ancient One seems fairly unconcerned about her fate, but Mordo is annoyed because Strange is blocking his view of the impending mastication.

Good diorama, like the rotating tentacles, but unconvinced by the levitating cloak mechanism - it took a fair bit of wrangling to get that cape onto Doctor Strange properly, and I ain't about to take it off any time soon!

3rd #40220 Mini London Bus arrived from [email protected] (first two bought at store) and as expected, the box is in bad shape... so time to build it :-)

I haven't been doing much of late - room renovation in progress, so the Lego shelves have been temporarily moved, and since it's quite a production moving them and everything on them, new acquisitions are piling up still in their boxes rather than being built and making things worse.  But I did put together the Batcave just before embarking on this madness, and tonight I figured I'd take a crack at 'fixing' it:

A few new plates added, but most of it is recycled from the set. The main thing was to get rid of the extra height to the mansion section - I did briefly toy with the notion of separating the mansion facade into a whole separate set, but ended up with this instead as the less-work option; kind of hinting at the house's foundation, then the black to suggest a cross-section of what's in fact solid rock, opening into the 'cave' lower down.

My other goal was adding a back wall and front 'overhang' to the reactor section - the latter had me puzzling a bit, given the way the front comes together from the two angled sections at the side, so what I eventually did was attach it to the pole/mansion section by a hinge, and just rest the other end on top of the edge of the helipad section.

  • Kate's House from Slender The Arrival (1:1 minifigure scale, MOC)

Not sure if it fits LEGO very well, just wanted to drop the pictures.
Anyone else ever did some Slender releated MOC?

@chrisalddin Just finished my GBHQ a week ago too and I bloody love it. Really like the details inside which I couldn't appreciate from watching video reviews.

I was wanting to ask a fellow Bricksetter who'd also built this, were you surprised that the build had two 'floating' unattached pieces? One in the fireplace and the other on the lab cart near the end of the build.

the unattached parts did surprise me.
but there are also the 4 chairs and the sink. so there are a big number of floating items in this set.

Just finished the 75149 Resistance X-Wing and 75092 N-1 Naboo Starfighter with my four year old. He's been obsessed with the N-1 for ages now so he's happy with that. And the new X-Wing looks cool next to Poe's black and Luke's white X-Wings.

Next up is the Fire Brigade modular (at long last - hurry up and deliver it postman) hopefully followed by the Grand Emporium if I can get one at a reasonable price.

    made a start on #42042
got the bag's numbed 1 finished.
    and it fun.
Technic set's have got a lot more complex from the time when i got some sets back in. (go's and look's up the set numbers and year's) 1996 #8286 and 1997 #8250.
i has picked up both back in the day, on a 50% off sale. in 1998.
now there is a lot more use of Technic Beam's next to Technic Beam's.
and a lot less use of Technic Brick's. case in point. i have yet to see a Technic Brick in this set (go's and looks at #42042 part list.) there are no Technic Brick's in this set.
and only a small number of normal Lego parts. (non Technic stuff.) i go as far as to say the old Technic is more a Mix of normal lego and Technic. and the new Technic is almost no normal Lego.

still i am having fun and that is the main point.

Agreed, I only have 4 Technic sets: #8024, #8815, #8820, and #42036. Since it had been almost 25 years between the 8xxx sets and #42036, a lot has changed. My impression of Technic was, "bricks with holes in the side", so you can imagine my surprise when I got the modern Technic set and how different it was.

    was working on stage 2.
    and placed a part wrong.
i was not until over 25 staps maybe more later that i spotted it.
and as this part is the main gear box if you like. getting it wrong is bad.
so i decided it would be better to pull it all the way back to the start of stage 2 (bags 2) and try again. after i had a sleep.

Just finished #75095 The UCS Tie Fighter. It's been sat on a shelf since the May Starwars event, but I finally opened it today. And what a set! If you want parts, this set has plenty, so not only does it build to one very impressive model, but it also can be purchased simply as stock for a MOC etc. It's now proudly displayed next to Red5!

Here's my "extended" #60134 Fun in the Park. It is not finished yet; need black wall corners for the grill, missing 3 poles for the fences, going to add a few flowers, and want to add a swing. And yes, the baseplates are not connected.

@starwars4ever Craigslist, $150. Haven't decided if I will keep it or not, it takes up a lot of real estate. I just want to build it:)
  • GeordiePaulGeordiePaul Member Posts: 599
@xwingpilot My son loves that one, especially the Inquisitor minifig. I think it's his armor and the fact you can attach the lightsaber onto the back of his armor too. It's a neat little set.

Coming to the end of the first manual for #10197 Fire Brigade and despite promising myself that I'd take my time and savour it, I still burned through that little book. Will I slow down for the second manual? Probably not.

That price is literally RRP!!! Did it come with all the pieces? Even if that didn't, I believe that belongs in the Brag thread cause that is such a steal. =)  Great find!

That plan of leaving new acquisitions in their boxes until I'm done moving shelves around... deciding to work on the Batcave in the meantime was a mistake. So over the last few days I've put together the Star Scavenger, Eclipse fighter, Ghost Rider, Doc Ock's mech, the Roxxon airport truck, Spidey bridge battle, Scarecrow's harvester, the Bat-tank (what), Jakku, and the blue X-Wing.
