    @SprinkleOtter
In the prison cage in the back of the ship (seemed a bit unfair to have everyone gang up on the only member of the Robot team accessible because he's sat on the outside).

Adapted the smaller model from the salvage mech with spare parts I had lying about.

Just finished a more Minifig friendly cab for the BWE based on the combine harvester.

@pricey73 I love it, and I love how that set is pretty much minifig scale aside from the cab. I suggest flipping around that side panel window to get rid of the gap.

@bobabricks cheers for that, I knew as soon as I saw it I wanted to do a Minifig scale cab, the gap has been sorted. As per comment, It was loosely based on the cab of the harvester, I'm pleased with the result though.

Updating phase one of my modular garden MOC and adjusting phase two in LDD to place a PaB order at S@H this weekend.

It seems that phase three will require my first Bricklink order; but that will come later.

My modular garden is not that impressive, but for my first "real" MOC I think its OK.

#10680 Garbage Truck - was gonna part out 2, but then decided to build 1. would look nice in my road layout, and I do care about recycling. It seemed unnecessary to put plain bricks in the dumpster, and the model is slightly above scale, but otherwise I like the set.

a pile of empty bags! That's what I'm building... as I'm opening up a treasure trove of series 15 and series 16 CMF bags... The clean-up shall be divine :)

    #60134 Fun in the Park
Lots of cute little models. Put the youth soccer players with my other sports stuff, but attached the rest to my park MOC. added some other dog figurines.

I had a bit of trouble getting the bike wheels to snap into the frame.

    (Maybe next week...)
I also like #41106 Pop Star Tour Bus. :)

I have a huge plastic bag in my room (from target when buying a large set) for carrying recyclables to the bin, and a lot of that is LEGO packaging or scraps from packing BL orders.

You definitely need a lot of space to assemble the two halves of the wheel, but I found it pretty straightforward. You just have to be careful and methodical when inserting the cross-axles.
I was going to save bags 4 for this evening, but I caved in slightly and assembled one of each gondola last night. :-)

Found a single copy of #60016 Octan truck in a derelict Carrefour here. Was even in a plastic security case so the box was perfect! So pleased to finally have this one.

just built an overlord dragon moc. i haven't seen very many good renditions of this character.
I love your version of the overlord dragon. Do you happen to have an LDD file for it (or parts list?) I would love to build that to fight against the other ninjago dragons we have at our house.

Just finished building #10151 on the Greyhound bus up to Kamloops. Of course using downloaded instructions, was too scared to bring the paper manual!

Midway through #6276. Difficult to complete any build these days in one go with a 1.5 year old running around.  At least she likes taking carrots from various castle sets and feeding the towns people.

I enjoyed too... not at $35 but at $49; still a good deal I think.

But not so much the part where I used three dark blue parts instead of black early on and realized it at the very end :-(

Built the Batmobile from the 60's Batcave today - absolutely love it. That could have been a great set on it's own!

Finished the VW Beetle in 1 night. I really like this model and color pops nicely. Only mistake I made was placement of the windshield stickers being all the way back instead of all the way forward to line up with the roof.

Have them all!  I've enjoyed them all!  Have three of them side by side.  Truthfully haven't built the fourth but I anticipate  it will be delightful.

^^Out of interest, why don't people count the first Creator Beetle in this line-up generally? Or is that a can of worms that's best left closed?
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
Ta. Never seen comparison shots, and I've wondered why. TBH, I can see advantages to both designs. But I think the newer one is definitely 'cuter'.

Yes, it could've, couldn't it? And the helicopter. Wonder why they put it all together in a massive UCS style mega set? :-)

Converted one of the black gondolas to a white one, but I think it looks too plain due to the other parts being white as well.

Their designs couldn't be more different!  Upon initial glance, I wouldn't identify them as the same base vehicle.

Just broke the seals on a Minecraft #21122 "The Nether Fortress" set which I picked up today from John Lewis. I got them to price match Argos at £42.99 (38% discount). Obviously I can't get it from Argos since it's sold out there! :)

Almost finished building #3450 Statue of Liberty but stuck and confused starting of the Head at Step 58-59. Anyone else have tips on this part of the build?
