I think if it goes over 6k then it means James has to buy another book of raffle tickets! There were only 6 books shown in his earlier photo.  :-D

Don't worry @raygunn not all of the donations are raffle tickets, some of us donated before the raffle started... So James should be safe for a while.

Nudged it a little closer with another £30. Come on folks, little time left and the 6K barrier is sticking it's tongue out at us.

^^ Mr. James Camplin will be prepared for that situation even though he'll be in total disbelief. He's left nothing to chance with his preparation for his walk so...

Was able to throw in that extra $5 (not sure what that exchanges to in GBP).

I'm glad to see it hit the 6,000 GBP mark.

That's is such a great effort. James should be ok for raffle tickets as not all donations wanted tickets. Glad this raffle has been such a success.
And donations can still be made after the raffle too, only it would just be a donation but for a great cause and should spur him along his little 100k stroll.

I think it was @oldtodd33 who took the total over the £6000 and then we kept going!

    LOOK!

    It's incredible. Simply incredible.

There is a little over an hour and a half left so there is still time. Like James said earlier, don't stop pledging. :o) He won't mind doing what's required at the end of the day as it means more money for the hospice.

My earlier post about James' preparedness was in response to @raygunn's comment above it and not @snowhitie's as it appears!

I'm going to watch the mexican wave video again :D

Wow, that is an amazing amount of money raised. I honestly can't believe it's smashed 6K! Makes my chances in the raffle look rather paltry but eh, who cares when it's all for a great cause?

Still, don't stop pledging your support! There's just over an hour left. Maybe, just maybe, we can reach £6,250 before the close of ticket sales...

trying to balance my personal circumstances (without permanent residence), my love of Lego and wanting to add to my collection, my bank balance and my desire to support a worthy cause. But I mean really, will another £10 really hurt??? ;)

I think we're in the last half-hour now, but for the benefit of US residents, when I managed to change the currency from USD to GBP I also acquired the ability to pay via PayPal. Made all the difference for me (I hate to hand out credit card information over the internet, even to reputable places).

@joel4motion -- you missed "to buy a few tickets!"

Got my 20 quid in just under the wire! Absolutely over the moon for you getting past the 6k mark. It's an unbelievable achievement and I think that both yourself and all of our fellow Bricksetters have done such good work for a very worthy cause. Amazing job everyone!

    See a penny,
    Pick it up,
And all the day you'll have good luck,
Pass it on to a friend,
And then your luck will never end ;o)

    Okay.

All tickets have been issued to to those that left forum IDs or those that were identifiable with a bit of research.  There are still half a dozen of whom I have no way of identifying in the forum but are contactable should they win a prize.  Some of you made it really difficult by being 'anonymous', not disclosing how much you donated nor provided an email address.   Lol, Lord knows how you did that.  ;)

But we're there and winning ticket is ready to be pulled.  :)

That is truly an amazing amount of money raised in a short space of time - I must admit that it amused my dark side and put a smile on my face this morning when I saw the extra penny on the total.

    @Legoboy
Good luck with the appointment today.
You can never have too many Iron Maiden references - I remember buying the 7" vinyl of that on the day it was released (also makes me feel old).
