Advice on 9748 & pricing

Toc13Toc13 Member Posts: 1,150
Not sure if this is the right place, feel free to move.
I've had a #9748 donated to the charity shop. The box is in good condition but opened. 9 bags of bits still sealed & the micro scout unit. Book is there & looks mint. A few leaflets.
But - no software cd.
So - the questions are;
Is it complete (right number of bags)?
What sort of price should I stick on it given the missing cd?

    ebay sold prices are all over the place, from under $20 to over $100. If you start out high you can always drop the price.

    That's going to depend on the location and the type of shoppers you get. Some people people shop in charity shops because they need to; some choose to. The latter are likely to pay more, but they're also likely to choose which shops, and in which areas, they use. All charity shops are not equal, not by a long way.

    If you don't know your customer base, then you've really only got one choice:

    It's not so much the customer base, more that I don't know the set with regards to how key the software disk is - how easy it is to replace or work around

    While not many have them up for sale, You also can get the instruction CD apparently on BL for about 10 bucks if you are in the US: http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?G=4128535#T=S&O={}

    A bit more pricey if overseas (whether it be prices or shipping).

    It seems the CD only contains alternate model instructions, nothing to do with programming, so the only real value is making the set complete.

    ^Awesome.

    Anyone in the Hatfield area tomorrow interested in the set should pop into the Debra shop
