@Yodalicious - they're Hobbit sets.  Lots of Witch-King Battles.  And maybe a Council of Elrond.

(And I meant 'undesirable' in that they have been sitting there since S12...)

^If they are on clearance for $0.03 I'll take them all. :)

I gotcha. I was being tongue-in-cheek mostly. To me (unless it's the barrel escape set...plenty of those around my area), they're all desirable.

@kez Nice! I am curious about the price now that you said that though. Also, it looks like the pistachio-raspberry ice cream I had yesterday downtown.

Haha I knew someone had to ask, I paid £34 including postage from Denmark, excluding postage it works out as £7.25 per piece. All of the previous auctions I sadly got outbidded on. And now that you mention it, they do look like confectionery LOL @Bumblepants @William_Townsley :-D

Pretty excited to find this set early at my local military exchange! Does anyone know the actual release date for it?

I have been yearning for the 4x4 Off-Roader (8466) to get the PP wheels & tires and stumbled on it via my local Craigslist this week. Purchased it for well under market and the seller was pleased, so everyone wins!

So if someone on here can pick this up for me and the price stays near what it is we could have ourselves a deal!

^That's amazing! I always wonder what the back story is on something like that especially since there is very current stuff in there.

Pure luck yesterday: I stopped at a local Walmart and found the Commander Cody 75108 set for $9. I picked it up for a friend of mine. On the shelf was the Spaceport 60080 set for $58. The box was shredded, but I've been wanting to pick this up for some time. I went back today to see if it was still on the shelf and it was, so I grabbed it.

Wow there are some bargains out there...... I don't feel quite so proud of my average saving of about 33% this year (I am quite creative with Lego spend so ALL vouchers are spent on Lego, even if they could be used for something else)

I picked up the 60078 Utility Shuttle the other day for $20. One of my sons wanted it, so I'm going to give it to him now that I have the big shuttle set. It's hard to buy some sets because my son wants the same thing, but usually can only afford one. I've given both boys a lot of my old sets and bricks from when I was a kid.

^For the price that will be by the time the auction ends, I'll gladly let someone else spend months picking out the Mega Blocks.

Our Base Exchange (Air Force Base Department Store) strangely got in a bunch of exclusives and had them regular priced at:

    Kwik E Mart - $144.50
    VW Van - $89.95
    Mini Cooper - $86.95
    Ferrari - $86.95

I grabbed the Kwik E Mart and VW Van....they said at the register they only got 2 Kwik E Marts and a case of each of the vehicles.

I was walking out of Barnes and Noble of all places and saw the new Ghostbusters Echo 1 that was 50% off due to some box crunchage. With an extra 10% member discount I got it for $29.39. I probably wouldn't have paid full price but looks like a nice Caddy build

Bought the Big Ben for (converted from £) €197 at the LEGO Store in London, which is €50 cheaper than in European LEGO-stores. I love Brexit!

I would much rather not have Brexit, and have the exchange rate we had before the vote ....

€50 is a nice price, I like the hovercraft model as well.

Was in a charity shop earlier and found 1.8 kilos of Lego for £3.50!

I'm halfway through sorting it and highlights include:

    - a LOT of basic, mainly 2x?, bricks
    - good selection of slopes, windows, doors and parts of a slatted garage door; I'm hoping it all turns out to be there
    - two small baseplates with road to suit 8-wide vehicles
    - Tasu Leech from #75105, and Chewbacca with his stud-shooter
    - a few interesting accessories like telescopes, a gold conical Asian hat and two gold minifig trophy statuettes

Seems like a nice mix to increase my building stock, and do a bit of trading with the SW figures... also, bless whoever donated this Lego, because they'd sorted most of the smaller pieces into a separate tub.

Who gives sealed sets to charity? Well, apart from FairyBricks, but that's the exception that proves the rule. Or is it coz I live in Yorkshire!? :-)

Not a clue, not the first sealed bits I've found but definitely the best. Whoever it is, if you're out there reading this, thankyou very muchly.

I always think it's probably unwanted Christmas/birthday presents (like a lot of sealed items in charity shops) - someone was trying to get their friend into Lego by getting them a set that matched their interests, but it didn't work...
