^Nice! That's a pretty neat feature of the forum - embedding twitter polls! Not on the Twitter myself, but if you want to keep a tally of what the Luddites think, I'll go with 'Something Space-y'!

Hi there, just wanted to share the Lego Ideas project I have built with my 11 year old son. It's the Lego Land Rover. We have completed various models and one possibility is it could be a kit so people can build the one they like/own. We also managed just recently to change a chassis on one of them and made it remote control so think there are lots of possibilities/choices for people whether they want just a model on the shelf or something they can modify, just like the real Land Rover! Anyway, take a look at our project and if you like it please register your support and help us spread the word. Many thanks!

I like the user who keeps spamming project after project which are all variations of 'every printed tile ever in a small shop'. Just go buy some printed tiles on Bricklink guy.

I am hoping those who read this will be so kind to join LEGO IDEAS if they are bot already a member and lend me the support I need, as you may know 10,000 SUPPORT Votes are needed for LEGO to consider turning an idea into a real playset. I now have 42 Support Votes and I need 9,958 more it's a hard climb but not if my fellow Brickset members take the 2 minutes or less to go to my project and answer 4 Simple questions and hit SUPPORT! Thank you all! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/147115

Greetings to all, I am a new member of this community and how all participants are a big fan of Lego sets. I would like to propose to your judgment as Lego enthusiasts, a number of my projects with which I participate in the Lego Ideas program. I'd be curious to hear what you think about, and of course I gladly accept constructive criticism and advice.
You can also respond through my lego page through this link: https://ideas.lego.com/profile/FranzPlus/projects.
The projects that have most committed are:

The first two projects are inspired by the famous Creator set 3 in 1 on the market for some time which provide the opportunity to build 3 different constructions from a more complete and complex, into a simpler one.
Instead the last project was inspired by the most complex and detailed Creator buildings dedicated to experienced builders.

I enclose a few pictures of my projects.

3 Build in 1 (Villa, Bungalow, Apartment) link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/118884.

This is the basic design through which you can get 3 different buildings using the same bricks.
In the picture below there are all the 3 buildings that you can get. For more details, connect to the link and vote if you like my projects.

Creator 3 in 1 (Corner Ice Cream Shop, Fruit and Vegetables Stand) link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/146480

Even this building offers 3 different construction options. See picture below

For more details, connect to the link and vote if you like my projects. (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/146480)

Finally the last project that I propose is as follows below

This is Musical Instrument Store and Cafe

The building is built on three very detailed levels.
    Ground floor - Caffe
First floor - Musical Instrument Store
    Second floor - Loft
For more details, connect to the link and vote if you like my projects. (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/123579)
The last image is the face of the building closed.

Thanks for your attention I hope you will like my efforts. Good luck to everyone in the Lego World.

I apologize because I'm a new member and is the first time I try to promote my projects in this forum. I participate in the Lego Ideas program and my buildings are designed using Lego Digital Design. The render images was done with the free Blue render program. Can you explain to be precise what I did wrong and where I can post this my thread ?? Thanks in advance for your understanding and helpfulness

I was under the impression that Ideas projects need to be approved first before being available for support... if that is the case, then isn't it interesting that this project got approved?

I think it may be more a matter of the approval process simply not having the same legal scrutiny as the review process. The people who approve projects are probably chiefly looking for things that violate the house rules and guidelines, and presumably they also have a checklist of specific IPs that they've encountered licensing conflicts with in the past. But checking who owns the licensing rights or building toy license on every project that comes through might be seen as too inefficient to do at that early stage.

Calling all LEGO fans! Would you like to see The Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith as a real LEGO product? Then join the cause and help support the LEGO Ideas project called “Minas Tirith Battle (The Lord of the Rings)”. If a project reaches 10,000 supporters and passes the LEGO review, then it will become the next real LEGO product.

This Minas Tirith project is very detailed, but has a much smaller piece count than the one from NujuMetru that failed to pass the LEGO review. Having a smaller piece count substantially raises the chances of this project passing the LEGO review, as this was the reason that NujuMetru’s was not approved.

Another great thing about the project is that it has amazing functions that make it just like the movie. The project includes fully functional, rubber-band powered trebuchets, a functional orc catapult, a pose-able Fell Beast, and much more! It also includes many key characters such as Gandalf the white, Shadowfax, Pippin (Gondor outfit), Faramir, Denethor, a Black Rider, and of course Gothmog! Most of these characters have never actually been made in physical form, so this set would be packed with new minifigures.

Here is a description of what would be included in the potential set (Note: This is just an idea, after accepting the idea LEGO will make a professional version to sell.).

The siege of Minas Tirith, as seen in “The Return of the King,” is an iconic scene from The Lord of the Rings theme that LEGO has not yet made into brick form. I believe this is a critical scene that deserves to be made, and I believe it could exist as a manageable size, with plenty of figures and play features, while maintaining its signature appearance.
I made this set with the two main parts of Minas Tirith that appear in the Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King. The main gate with the surrounding wall, and the citadel with Denethor’s throne room/dining room.

To be accurate to the movie I included the Giant pile of wood, that in the movie, is used to burn Denethor. I also included a functional catapult for the orc army. This set was created to be the battle of Minas Tirith, so I included orcs, an Olog-hai, a Fell Beast, and of course, Gothmog! The set also includes other key characters, such as Gandalf the white (on Shadowfax), Pippin (Gondor), Denethor, and Faramir. I also included four Gondor soldiers to fight off the intruding orc army. As an extra feature, I included a board to brace the gates, keeping the Army of Mordor out!

    Set Includes:

    1) Main gate of Minas Tirith. (including surrounding wall with trebuchet towers.)

    2) Citadel with Denethor’s throne/dining room.

    3) The White Tree of Gondor.

    4) Giant pile of wood.

    5) Gondor Soldiers Dining table. ( including four stools)

    6) Functional orc catapult.

    7) Orc army flag.

    8) 15 detailed Minifigures, Gandalf the white, Shadowfax, Denethor, Faramir, Pippin (Gondor), Gothmog, three Mordor orcs, four Gondor soldiers, a Black Rider, and an Olog-hai.

    9) Pose-able Fell Beast.

    Accessories Include:

four spears, two flails, three swords, one hobbit sword, one uruk-hai sword, one orc sword, one bow, one ax, one staff, four Gondor shields, one board, one full turkey (including two turkey leg pieces), two apples (one green, one red), one breadstick, one croissant, one pretzel, one sausage, one carrot, one potato, two radishes, six cherries (three red, three green), two cabbages, one onion, one platter, one bottle, one bottle of oil, five cups, two Gondor statues, two rocks (included for the functional trebuchets to launch.), two rocks (included for the functional orc catapult to launch.), one map of Middle Earth, and one statue of Boromir.

Please support and also tell friends, family, and everyone else to support it too. Every support is needed and appreciated. (It only takes a few seconds to support.) It’s about time that LEGO made a Minas Tirith set, please support to make it happen! I know that if all the LEGO fans come together and support this project, it WILL happen!

    Welcome to the forum!

For your information,  here on Brickset we prefer members to post their Ideas submissions in the dedicated thread rather than each individual member creating a discussion:

    @JediPippin
Haven't even bothered to check Lego Ideas lately (last couple of months), but I like your project, and I love(d) the LOTR/Hobbit theme. So I am supporting your 'MOC'!

I hope that if and when it gets 10.000 supporters TLG will actually turn it into a set we can purchase.

    ps.
    Hello everyone I am back!

the forum is malfunctioning. I have had to F5 at least 20 times trying to type this, because often when I press 'space' the page gets scrambled and freezes up with a white window overlapping with just the right forum side bar, and that right side bar does not look quite right either!?! Or is it just me!?!

Not to rain on your parade, but it's not happening. Another MT project got to 10,000 and wasn't approved, I can't see yours being any different.

  • JediPippinJediPippin UtahMember Posts: 9

Gremer, that is a very good point, but this Minas Tirith has a much smaller piece count than the other one by NujuMetru. That makes it MUCH more likely to pass the LEGO review. LEGO Ideas put a 3,000 piece limit on all projects. Mine is under 3,000, whereas NujuMetru's Minas Tirith was over that. That's why his was not approved. I realistically think that this project would get approved, if it got 10,000 supporters. Thanks for your opinion, but I hope you will still support this project now knowing the facts.

  • JediPippinJediPippin UtahMember Posts: 9

I think it would, because there are many people who would love to have a LEGO Minas Tirith set. This one could get approved because it has significantly less pieces than the one denied by LEGO. This makes it more like the kind of sets that LEGO actually sells.

  • HuwHuw Brickset Towers, Hampshire, UKAdministrator Posts: 6,414
Not to rain on your parade, but it's not happening.

LEGO has done with LotR now and won't be renewing the license for an Ideas set.

10,000 or 3,000 pieces, it matters not.

For LEGO Ideas, it doesn't matter if the theme has been discontinued or not. In the LEGO Ideas Acceptable Project Content, it says:

"If you’re submitting a project based on a discontinued LEGO theme or brand (for example Blacktron or Octan), it must be your own new, creative work."

That implies that you can submit projects based on discontinued themes, such as The Lord of the Rings, as long as you're not just improving an already existing set. If it is your own, creative work, it has just as much of chance at being made into a real LEGO product as does any other LEGO Ideas project.

^ we all know what the Ideas policies are.  But you aren't looking at reality.  LEGO isn't going to do a Middle Earth Ideas set.  Period. full stop.  of course they won't come out and say that, but I think it's plainly obvious to anyone whose paying attention that it won't happen.

Just because something isn't against the policies doesn't mean it has a snowball's chance in hell of getting approved.  Of course they are going to say publicly that almost anything and everything is acceptable - they want people to be excited about using Ideas. But there are a million things that are acceptable to their overt policy that would never even come close to passing review.  LotR sets are, in my opinion, one of those things.
  • JediPippinJediPippin UtahMember Posts: 9
Thanks for your negative opinion. I still think that this set has a HUGE chance of getting approved, even if some people say otherwise. Lord of the Rings was the BEST LEGO theme that has ever been made, and I think that LEGO would be honored to produce one last set.
