after having my lego too long in my amazon.co.uk basket ...  THE PRICE WENT UP AGAIN! i decided to ditch it all and buy some manly stuff:
amazon.co.uk will drop prices sooner or later again on current sets. PATIENCE!

    but
    #10223 kingdom joust
    #10193 medievil market village
has to find a way into my lego cave! currently stretching out my antennae like a mad-man!

Stopped by a garage sale in town and bought 7 sets in their boxes:

#8058 - Guardian of the Deep
    #8068 - Technic Rescue Helicopter
    #70013 - Equila's Ultra Striker
    #70128 - Braptor's Wing Striker
    #70163 - Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown
#75082 - TIE Advanced Prototype (this was the only one that had been opened)
#79121 - Turtle Sub Undersea Chase

So $50 later I have a very random assortment of sets to put together.

I keep thinking it would be cool to have the full set of 10 different Star Wars microfigs from #3866. I see that the game can still be found for RRP on eBay, so that might be the cheapest way...

I bought #31032 today, because I realized it's an awesome dragon missing from my apparent dragon collection. Also finally got a Hagrid minifigure.

Popped into a Entertainer store today a found #70815 for £49.99 - i was trying to be good but this was one of the Lego Movie Sets i was missing and for that price I couldn't say no.

Also, for those that haven't heard, there is a rather large charity raffle going on at the moment, please head over to :

    amazon.de has the #42056 Porsche GT3 RS for 255€ (somehow turns into 259€ on checkout) - I couldn't resist that as it's 329€ on S@H. :-)

So, I had not been to Walmart in a while (vacation, no money afterwards), and needed to stop for some groceries...and of course, I stopped at the LEGO section and noticed some 'sale' prices. I grabbed Kylo's Shuttle, Leia's ship, and the First Order Transporter and the prices were lower than they appeared on the label, they were 50% from the MSRP...so I only decided to buy Kylo's Shuttle for $59.00 and then I saw the Series 16 box, and was excited to see the Mariachi in there, so I had to get it. I bought two Mariachies and two bananas (one for my brother), and an extra one that I think it's the 'devil kid', which I haven't opened.

What I believe is that hopefully the Star Wars set might go into clearance at 75% like the ones a few weeks back, so let's hope that happens and that I can pick up the lesser 'cool' sets like Leia's and the First Order Transporters.

Went ahead and ordered Ra's Al Ghul and the Spiderman Tanker Truck set along with the airport starter and something called Treasure's Pool Day to get the free Olaf poly and hit the free London Bus threshold.

Don't worry, I am not recanting my anti-helicopter beliefs, I just got the airport set to seed parts for a Post Office modular moc.

I'm a sucker for dc and marvel, as I grew up reading the comics as a kid.  Bought the following:  rescue from ra's, ghost rider team up, doc strange, doc ock tentacles, and spider man bridge.

Won't lie, I bought em mainly for the minifigs, but the bridge looks like a fun build :)

Since #70592 Ninjago Salvage M.E.C. and #70593 Green NRG Dragon are on double VIP this month, I went to pick up #70592 tonight. They had a damaged box for 10% off, so with the remnants of my giftcard from my birthday a couple months ago, I got about 71 VIP points after paying $32. Unfortunately, they were out of Series 16 CMF and I forgot to redeem my coupon for #5004390 Nexo Knights King's Guard, so I'll have to go back sometime soon.

Bought more tickets for @Legoboy's raffle to appease Unisithy and prevent her from using the Force and her droid army to turn the rest of my Unikitties to the Dark Side.

Just a bit over 14 hours left to support @Legoboy's 100km walk by buying raffle tickets. Take part in the awesome Brickset community saying "up yours" to cancer.

Going to the LEGO Store tomorrow (double VIP points and London Bus promo).

Deciding between #10244 Fairground Mixer and #10247 Ferris Wheel. The former might be retired this year (?) but I like the latter most. First world problems anybody?

^Doing same as you @JooTog. The Double VIP on top of London Bus promo is the extra push I needed to go a bit berzerk this time around. Not that keen on the Mixer, but very keen on the Ferris Wheel. But will go with the Mixer as I don't know how much longer it will stick around.

Other 3 purchases will be VW Beetle, Dr. Who Ideas, and Jurassic sets to complete the theme.

  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
@BrickDancerI do not have any Jurassic World set; for whatever reason they don't do anything for me (I do like the movies and love dinosaurs though, go figure).

While the Creator Expert vehicle sets have not appealed to me in the past, I admit that the WV Beetle has something that calls to me, but there are other sets that are higher in my list (e.g. upcoming Disney castle).

I guess Fairground Mixer vs. Ferris Wheel will be an "in the moment" decision tomorrow at the store. Maybe only one of them will be in stock making easier to decide :-)

This would be a West Virginia (WV) Beetle...

Not sure how the sales would go on that!

Is anyone else considering MOC'ing the Ferris Wheel into a (the?) Mickey's Ferris Wheel and building a makeshift Disney theme park?

I was surprised to hear this week about the Double VIP points this weekend and I am always dead broke during summer. Got a few small things for my kids, and about $40 worth of Pick a Brick to get the London Bus.

I bought #10244 "Fairground Mixer" today and will leave Ferris Wheel until next year. I was worried it might go suddenly so took the plunge today.  I don't think they will bring out another set in this series this year due to the Friends Amusement Park subtheme they brought out. So the Mixer may live on for another year but you never know! :)

I keep on going on a dangerous path (by spending money buying sets)...went to Walmart and got #75103 First Order Transport ($49) and #31036 Toy Store & Grocery ($20) (this one is my first Creator set)...then went to Target and spend my $5 gift card (and more money) on #60074 Bulldozer ($20) and #60072 Demolition Starter Set ($7).

I couldn't resist the double VIP points this weekend so I pulled the trigger and bought #75059 Sandcrawler.  The box was damaged and the store manager offered 1000 additional VIP points which made the deal even sweeter.

All the talk about #10254 Winter Train made me grab #10235 Winter Village Market from Amazon today.

Already have #10245 Santa's Workshop and planning to buy #10249 Winter Toy Shop closer to the holidays along with the train.

I guess the only question is... when are we getting white 32x32 baseplates?!!!

Series 16 minifigures finally! Found 12 of 16.  I love how the baby bottle is bigger than the baby!  The penguin with the photographer is cute.  Love the imp!  Banana guy is cool.  I like how his costume and minifigure are separate.   I could go on.  Another nice set by TLG.

#10235 Winter Village Market arrived today along with #ISBN0241232570 Star Wars: Build Your Own Adventure book.

Last night ordered from S@H. $69 of PaB for my Modular Garden and City park MOCs, and #41069 Treasure's Day at the Pool to get the two promos. #41069 has a couple of parts I am missing for the modular garden and not available at S@H PaB, so win-win I guess.
