     I think this is in response to Toys "R" Us this counting every regular price item by 15%. Kind of funny because this seems to be Toys "R" Us his response to Amazon prime day.  Don't forget if you order it from Toys "R" Us you get a free Bionicle set as well.

    Noticed that all 2016 Technic sets at Amazon are 20% off or better.  This may be the best deal available for some time since Amazon SARL stopped shipping Lego to the USA.

    Also, #60050 Train Station is 37% off.  That's the lowest price ever according to CCC.

    Well i was frustrated Walmart canceled my $139 one because they ran out but now I am overjoyed that happened. Assuming this one ships.

    Thanks for letting us know, we ordered one for the parts only.  We are prime members too, mostly for the video service.  The deal was too tempting.  This is less than half of the prime day deal, right?

    Whoa. That is way too good to pass up. I wouldn't have bought this one even at the $100 mark, but for less than $50 I just couldn't resist. Knowing you paid less than the price of a system scale tie will just make the build so much sweeter.

    I have seen amazon price dropped to match third party sellers before.  I do not know how it works but I'm going to assume it's some algorithm gone wrong on both ends.

    I've been burned by 3rd-party sellers before (drop ship scam), so I'd not recommend others doing it.

    The lowest price currently fulfilled by Amazon is $165.00.

    Well, I just checked and my order was mysteriously cancelled, with no explanation whatsoever. Sorry guys, I guess it was just too good to be true. Pretty shady thing for Amazon to do. I wrote them an angry email, but I don't have any high hopes..

    Mine, strangely (since I ordered it towards the end of the live deal), was just marked as shipped with a tracking number.

    I'll keep you all updated on whether or not it actually arrives.

    I'm sad to report that this just happened to me as well.  For what it's worth, I did place my order at the tail end so maybe there is still hope for the rest of you.  Good luck!

    Our order vanished too.  We ordered 60118 on the same order, which my son has been wanting.  We didn't really want the tie fighter, only the parts, so not too disappointed.  Sorry to everyone who really wanted this set.  My son is looking forward to the garbage truck which I wouldn't have ordered otherwise, so he is still happy :)

    my order also disappeared.  well, actually, the order shipped since I had another item in it, but the TIE was mysteriously gone.  no email, no nothing.  clearly, this price was a mistake that they tried hard to erase

    One more update. I called Amazon's customer service department and complained. The person issued me a $30 credit towards a future purchase, and said that if they ever get the Tie Fighter back in stock I can call and have them match the price to today's cancelled order. So.. better than nothing? :)

    Not bad! No older than the tie is I would certainly think they will be getting it back in stock at some point. If that does happen then you just scored a tie for < $20 bucks!

    It may be a stinker as far as sales are concerned - I have no idea, but I just can't see them retiring it so soon. My guess is it will be back.

    The good news is Amazon never has to go to the doctor for a Colonoscopy. Their head is so far up their a## they can check themselves...

    Here's a tip for next time an unbelievable sale happens- go to the nearest store than price matches with Amazon, and buy it from them. Heck, do this with everything. Do you really want to put up with a seller that will screw you over whenever they wish?

    I also ordered and also got cancelled with no email or explanation. I'm on hold now waiting to speak with a customer service manager since the first person is telling me that my order was cancelled because the bank didn't authorize the transaction. NOW I'm mad....

    I had my order cancelled as well.  I called and referened chertik's post above to the sales rep. He matched the $30 promo but told me he couldnt guarantee that anyone would price match the set to today's price...better than nothing I guess. This is the second time I have gotten screwed for this set- first on the lightning deal when I was unable to checkout, and now this. I'll definitely be calling back.

    Ever since Amazon started charging tax in my state, I do that whenever I can get an added benefit at a B&M store (i.e. Target Red Card 5%, TRU or Best Buy points, etc.).  The only problem is that sets like the UCS TIE aren't typically carried in stores by me so sometimes, Amazon is the only choice.  Plus, with Amazon's propensity to change prices every 27 minutes, that unbelievable sale price may longer be valid by the time I can get to a B&M store to PM, especially the ones that insist on looking up the prices themselves.

    I saw an email from Amazon in my inbox this morning, explaining why they cancelled my order:

    To each their own, but I'm not going to complain about it. We all know that was a little too good to be true. The only thing that put me off was the canceled order without any notification. I also received a message this morning informing me of what happened though.  And with that, all is right in my world.
