The "brag" thread: Post your recent great finds!
This is akin to my previous "most triumphant purchase" thread. Feel free to post (brag) about some recent scores on Lego deals. I want to live vicariously through you! ;)

My sister is always on the lookout for Lego deals for me, and she has a season pass to Disneyland in Southern CA which she uses often. She frequently stops by the Lego store at Downtown Disney, and she bought 10170 TTX Intermodal Double-Stack Car for me on clearance. As great as it is to find Lego on clearance right before the production ends, it's even sweeter when you think you missed out on it and then come to find out that your sister was vigilant for you ;)
A slick $35 dollars! Booyah!
I got the BIONICLE Nui-Rama set, also MISB, at around the same time. Some may not call it a deal since I bought it for $20, but considering how old and coveted it is by BIONICLE collectors, I'm glad I took advantage of that price. Now I see MISB Nui-Ramas go for around $50 on eBay. Ouch.
I still regret not picking up more of each as there were two more BBB and 4 more Crawlers left... Oh well. The Crawler is in storage and BBB is still MIB in my basement joists.
here in the Netherlands is marktplaats the place to be

Nice grab!!
There is 70kg plus of Lego including a Train, Harry Potter and Star Wars Lego
In the with instruction manuals are
10152
10177
10159
I've wanted the Dreamliner for a while
Must over 200 minifigures
Did cost £350(don't tell the wife :-))
But very happy
Assuming they are complete or near complete, 10152 and 10177 have a value above $100 USD each; 10159 City Airport and 4563 Load & Haul Railroad (which I can identify from the pics) are around $100 each. That means you are well on your way to justifying what you paid, and that is just a tiny portion of 70kg.
Are you keeping it all? Or selling on what you don't want.
You could justify the price then if you sold what you're not interested in. (If you're not interested in the HP then I would be)
Hogwarts Castle (4709), Chamber of Secrets (4730) and Scuderia Ferrari Truck (8654) for £6 each. She asked me if she should get them, "YES!". Ferrari set hadn't even been made up - stickers still in their packets.
:)
Looks like I will have to start hitting resale shops for Lego deals.
Knights Kingdom:
8877 Vladek's Dark Fortress
8777 Vladek Encounter
8780 Citadel of Orlan
8875 King's Siege Tower
PoP:
7569 Desert Attack
Castle:
10193 Medieval Market Village
7048 Troll Warship
And a whole lot of other Knight's Kingdom goodies.
2 minutes til the end, I placed a bid of $480 Australian, and to my surprise I won the whole lot for $220 Australian!!!!
The whole lot was worth thousands, and best yet they were in mint condition!!!
A few weeks after receiving all this, out of the blue they send a huge bag of weapons, armour, minifigs, accessories etc, with just a note saying "Found these while cleaning up and realised they probably go to the sets you won" - they were all parts to even more KK sets, and nothing to do with my lot....
I almost had a heart attack... Most would just sell them for more!
My best mate is still terribly bitter about this... I remind him every chance I get :-)
Not had much time to look through it properly yet.
This has renewed my interest in car boots.
my boys have discovered bionicles and these are for xmas and birthdays.
6243-1: Brickbeard's Bounty
7734-1: Cargo Plane
Also in the process of getting (waiting for the guy to contact me) lots of castel stuff and old train set plus a techin big rig set.
Can't wait. Lego crazy for the last couple of weekends.
