edited January 2012 in Shopping USA/Canada
Some clearance items have been further reduced on shop.LEGO.com.
Quite a few finally at the 50% off level. Sorry I don't have time to list at the moment:

Hmm kind of interested in Level Crossing 7936 but don't want to spend on shipping. Anybody see these in their local Lego stores?

LEGO store are hit and miss (like most retail stores): Some have them, some don't.

I only really see the power boat as something of interest, it appears the Level crossing is still listed at 15 and change though.

I'd buy up a few of that smallest AC set for $2.50 if it weren't for shipping.

    Stupid shipping... /spit
  • littletokilittletoki Member Posts: 519
I wanted to avoid the shipping as well and went into my local LEGO store. They didn't have the sets in stock so they ordered me a few Land Speeders and AC sets - no shipping.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
Republic Swamp Speeder: The set says it has a "Clone Trooper", but it looks like a "Storm Trooper". Maybe I've missed something in the Clone Wars cartoons???
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
@doriansdad Yes. My local LEGO store in Natick Mall, MA had quite a few of them.

I might buy the Power Boat Transporter. Not sure yet.
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
Rats, the Power Boat Transporter is back up to $31.98. Wonder if it was a pricing error?
  • datkiddedatkidde Member Posts: 108
^ I was able to get one for $19.98 at the Mission Viejo CA Store last night. Shows sold out on the site though. Glad we found one, my son really wanted it at that price.

Anyone have a LEGO store with a large number of the 7049 Alien Striker? I'm putting together an Alien Conquest MOC and want to obtain a large number of these.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
@sidersdd I went to the LEGO store within a couple days of finding out 7049 was 50% off but couldn't find them. Asked the employee and he said they didn't carry them... I wanted to pick up a few of those too...
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ Yeah, I'm guessing that's the case for most stores. I just called all the flagship stores, and the Anaheim store had one remaining - one they found when cleaning the back room. That's it.
  • JenniJenni Member Posts: 1,390
@sidersdd there were none in Birmingham AL. I was hoping to get one. I hadn't been planning to collect AC and then there was the half price HQ. I really hadn't seen any Strikers for a while before finding one at TRU.
  • malachirobertsonmalachirobertson Member Posts: 268
@sidersdd Do they have the Strikers at Wal-Mart?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
I don't think I've seen the Strikers at Wal-Mart lately. Even then, it'd be full price. I ordered 27 from LEGO.com a couple of days ago. No cancellation yet.
  • intromissionintromission Member Posts: 197
I got one at Target for 2.50. Check the clearance.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ Do you have a DPCI code for it?
  • intromissionintromission Member Posts: 197
    Is the DPCI Target specific?
The numbers on the box are:

    (Above barcode): Item: 4612151
    Barcode: (6 (73419 14573) 2)
    (Below barcode): 127759-1

    Hope that helps.

The DOCI is a xxx-xx-xxxx number on the shelf label.
  • intromissionintromission Member Posts: 197
There was no shelf. Just found it mixed up in the clearance aisle. Try searching on Target.com. You can find the DPCI number there.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
It's not listed on Target.com. The DPCI number can be found on your receipt.
  • intromissionintromission Member Posts: 197
I'll try to find it this morning and let you know.
  • intromissionintromission Member Posts: 197
    204000019.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ thanks. None in this area according to the inventory search.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Order shipped. 27 Alien Strikers on their way to my doorstep.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
^Lucky! I went online to order some a couple days ago and they were all sold out :(
  • Bosstone100Bosstone100 Member Posts: 1,431
I picked up 20. At about $1.50 after tax and shipping (and $10 lego points), it was worth it. I like AC a lot so having some larger armies will be pretty cool.

Anybody think its worth getting a few extra Obi Wan Starfighters since they are on sale at [email protected], I know its not a great USC but I enjoyed building mine, is it worth it to get a few more to hold on to?
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,789
^--- Well since LEGO has had these on sale twice (or was it three times) now and they cannot sell them out. It is debatable, but if they are not popular now, I'm not sure they will be popular in the future...
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
@choob99 Think there are better investments but I'm sure it will appreciate some at current prices. The UCS DS and Star Destroyer, Eifel Tower and Taj Mahal were all on sale at points as well . . .

^ Or it will be more like 10186 General Grievous. You can still buy it new sealed for under MSRP.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
^^ Well, if you bought Grievous for 40% off like the Obi you'd be ok ;)
  • lulwutlulwut Member Posts: 417
I've always wanted to pick the obiwan starfighter, but is it true to scale with other sets (plo koon's and mace windu's)?
  • canuhandle23canuhandle23 Member Posts: 104
The set would have to be atleast 39.99 before id consider buying it. In terms of holding to sell.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
Yea, at $40 I'd take a ton of them, at $60, it is a bit too expensive still.

Even at $50, or 50% off, I'd consider it.

I do think that is another Grievous in the making...
  • tk79tk79 Member Posts: 329
@yys4u Alien Striker is back in stock on clearance, FYI
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
@tk79 still shows sold out for me.... :( are you in a different region? I'm in the US
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432

  • tk79tk79 Member Posts: 329
Lol, I'm in the US and I swear they were there at 4pm...even let me put some in my cart. Sorry guys.
  • MCNwakeboardMCNwakeboard Member Posts: 320
Anyone in need or alien strikers? I'd be happy to get some and send them to you? Let me know how many you need. Price is 2.75 + shipping (extra .25 covers tax and paypal cc processing fees)
  • MCNwakeboardMCNwakeboard Member Posts: 320

Sold out at Amazon... (going for $120 there)

    http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Public-Transport-Station-8404;jsessionid=4v5q-PNr+78Ql0QEG3akeg**.lego-ps-4-4?ShipTo=US&_requestid=927255

Looks like a decent deal, although once you add tax/shipping it's not so good
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
thanks. just bought 5 (no tax, $18 total shipping)

30% off on a retired/discontinued set is a good deal for sure
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
Damn! I shouldn't of bid on eBay. Oh well.
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
Sweet thanks @DavidRod8. I will have to grab one, I was just looking for this on [email protected] a few days ago and couldn't find it
  • MatthewMatthew Administrator Posts: 3,714
Shame it's not in the UK :( Does anyone have any idea how much shipping would be if I asked my long suffering US contacts to pick one up for me?
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
Wow, I had it in my cart trying to decide how many to get and then it disappeared out of my cart. :(
  • doriansdaddoriansdad Member Posts: 1,337
Cheers for the heads up...scooped some transports.....this set is ridiculously good.
  • allmybricksallmybricks Member Posts: 156
Wow... would have like to have one more of those to keep... missed out on this one by a few minutes it seems.
