    I don't try to sell boxes. They don't go for much, they'd be hard to ship safely, these seem related. Ideas boxes or brick assortment tubs could be useful for storing your own inventory. I hadn't thought of using the cardboard as packing material.

    I just listed a few used pieces from colors I don't have much of. Many of these are from #8808 or #60008.

    S@H sent me a Fountain that seems to be in mint condition. A couple weeks ago, the listings started at $17, now $15, I'll still take that price.
    Also got 4 Merlok's Library 2.0. Real easy to part those out since I already parted out one. This the first time I've used Consolidate. Usually there's just a few I already have, and I update those lots manually, still easier than looking up prices for a new lot.

    Did anybody else get an influx of orders today? I feel like some people that shopped at my store today forgot to get Fathers' Day gifts (or didn't like the ones they got, and decided to get their own presents).

    somehow the update brought old inventory back.

    This probably isn't the right place, but I didn't feel like making a new thread just for this was justified.

    Would any Bricksetters on Bricklink happen to have the Sarlacc Pit from 9496 for sale? My looking so far has been in vain.

    @Gremer No, this would be the right place! If you want to and have the time for it, you could look through the stores that are in my list on page 2 or 3. Otherwise, you could post a thread here in the Marketplace category stating that you are looking for that particular item. Hope that helps!

    P.S. If you can't find it anywhere, you could Bricklink it (buy it piece by piece).

    I have the instructions and most of the parts needed. I can soon get the other parts for you and make up the set. I am in the UK but can Airmail the kit to you. 

    All my bricks are brand new.

    I do not have any of the minifigs left from the set but you could easily Bricklink those in the USA.

    @Gremer I believe I have it all. I might be missing the tentacles, but those are just four parts to replace. How much were you looking to spend? I might even have instructions.

    Has anybody else found bubble mailers smaller than 4x8? I ship out single minifigs quite often, so these would be incredibly useful.

    @kiki180703 Thanks, but it looks like those are over 3x what I am paying for larger ones on Amazon, so I guess I would be better off just using the bigger ones in that case.

    I got a lot of orders in the past few days, not sure if Father's Day had anything to do with it. Maybe.

    Parted out 3 #41103 and 3 #41093. Listed extra parts from #40165, #41116 and #41120, and parts of 41120 I didn't want to build.

    I get a lot of small orders, not necessarily for minis. I take #0's (6.5x9) and cut them in half (6.5x4.5). Pocketknife and ruler is cleaner than scissors. Packign tape on the open end works fine, especially when taping a shippign label on anyway.

    I need a bit more help- someone bought some minifigs from me, long story short, Bunny Suit Guy sold under minifig only entry to somebody, then a very short time later somebody else bought the complete set listing before I could remove it. How do I cancel just that part of their order?

    I've used that page when I can't find something I thought I had in inventory, sounds like another use for it. My customers have been reasonable about such things, whether canceling an order or going ahead with the rest of it.

    BrickLink doesn't list Invasion from Below separate from Hero Factory. BL search gets very confused when you don't have the exact term. However, this wiki page lists those sets and you could then search for those on BL. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Hero_Factory#2014_-_Invasion_from_Below or http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Hero_Factory#Invasion_from_Below

    I have a lot of Bionicle parts, some of which have Hero Factory in the part title.

    when i search on bricklink today it never gets farther than "loading" ...

    anybody else ?  are my cookies doomed ?

    I had some slow loading, but it eventually loaded, and that could be on my end.

    Added some used yellow and reddish brown, parted out 2 #75078 (stormtrooper army builder).
    #71302 and 3 #71301 (bionicle), 7 #41063 (little mermaid) on the to do list.

    So, some guy is asking me to trade with him. Is this normal? Is there any safe way to do that, except face-to-face? Should I even bother trying? The guy has ~140 feedback, but 7 bad and 3 neutral.

    I would not. Too much risk without the protection of PayPal. Skipping around the Bricklink fees is poor form as well.

    On another forum I'm on, they have prohibited direct trading. Here is their rule:
    Direct Trading is prohibited. Each trade must be given equal values so each dealer can PayPal each other on the agreement amount as PayPal insurance.
    So, the two people agree on a mutual amount and PayPal each other that amount, then do the trade. If something goes awry, then they can use the PayPal buyer protection to try to at least get their money back.

    I have been watching some Bricklink sellers videos on YouTube, too much time on my hands. I was wondering for sellers like Clutch and Bricktsar that use the numbered drawer system for parts, how do they find those drawers when parting out more sets that have the same parts, surely they don't have to use Bricklink to locate their own stock? Just interested to see if I am missing some logical answer.

    It is somewhat suspicious. At the least, I'd be afraid of getting in trouble for fee evasion. Also, fees are 3% of the first $500, but only 2% of the next $500 and 1% of the amount above $1000.

    parted out 3 #10595 Sofia The First Royal Castle
    the process was like regular LEGO, except it was easy to sort and I needed bigger storage bags

    listed some spare plain blocks from my old collection. sorted them weeks ago, finally motivated to list them. again like bricklinking regular lego.
    I kept the minifigs, special pieces, and knockoff brands for young houseguests to play with

    @Daragh When you part out a set as part of the upload process you can see if you already have stock of that part and if so which of your storage locations it is in (assuming you use the remarks field to record your bin location). This is how Clutch, and I assume everyone else, does it.

    OK thanks for the info, I just think it strange that you need to check bricklink to find your own parts, of course that would only apply where you have a lot of parts in lots of drawers. Can't see any other way of doing it so I suppose it works.

    Daragh is talking about physical location of existing inventory, not finding it on the website. Remarks on the website are one way to do that. My inventory system is fluid enough that I don't use that. (storage changes as inventory expands or contracts, as well as what storage equipment I have handy)

    A lot of sellers use those drawer organizers. Including myself.  I've seen that Bricktsar and Clutch both number them (for the most part). What I did is label a Stack-On as A,B,C,D,etc. Then, each drawer has a number. When I'm parting out sets, I put in the remarks where the parts are going.  for example: 30 DBG 2x1 Bricks into B-09. I go to Stack-On B, drawer 39. Pretty easy. Only problem I have, is I expanded my inventory a lot faster than I thought I would. Now I've run into X,Y,Z,AA,AB,AC, etc.  I have a separate section for minifigs and the minifig parts, utensils, weapons, bodywear, etc. My used section is  a lot simpler as well. Just a bunch of ziplocs.

    For my own collection I have being using the local equivalent to Akro-mills stackable drawer cabinets and loads of Really Useful Boxes, however I had to bag everything for some renovations and was also thinking of starting a BL store at some stage so I thought now was a good time to look at how others store their parts for BL. The numbered drawer system appeals most so far. I won't be unpacking my Lego for another few weeks at least so have plenty of Lego free time to research.

    So, USPS managed to somehow split the head of a minifig I set. What do I have to refund the buyer? The whole minifig? The price of the head? Shipping?

    @SprinkleOtter, everything is negotiable. If it was insured, you/they need to take it up with USPS.

    Not insured. Insurance would cost almost as much as the fig, unfortunately...

    If it happened in my Bricklink store I would get a replacement head to the customer and eat the cost - these things happen even though in a perfect world they shoudn't.

    Although USPS broke the head, it is still up to the seller to cover the shipping either by insurance or self-insurance and ensure the goods arrive safely. That is my practice anyway. 

    I would sooner have a happy customer than an upset one and possible bad feedback.

    Still I am "impressed!"  about how USPS managed to split a minifig head - possibly by putting it through an automatic letter sorter?  I remember visiting our local sorting office once with a group of people and saw the remains of an envelope and contents after somebody shipped 5 plastic cards like credit cards in a standard envelope which jammed the sorter and destroyed the envelope.

    I learnt my lesson that day and everything I ship goes in a padded envelope or box.
