#10187 still has charming side, however blue was too expensive to bricklink but red looks good :). That said really looking forward the new one.

Those are gorgeous! Thank goodness I don't have the budget or I'd be really tempted to collect them!

Considering the colors of the most recent Advanced Model vehicles:

    2011 - VW Camper Van - Red
    2012 - Sopwith Camel - Green
    2014 - Mini Cooper - Green
    2015 - Ferrari F40 - Red

Given there's already a red Volkswagen and a somewhat similarly shaped green car in the Cooper, I would expect Lego to put something strikingly different on the shelves.  As I have those sets, I'd like a different color to break up the "Christmas" scheme.

The 2008 version was blue, so I'm hoping for yellow here.

The only color Beetle I will accept is bright yellow.

    With an Autobot insignia.

green or red would have to be out given the Ferrari, Cooper, and VW Bus.  I wouldn't mind an orange (my mom had an orange beetle when I was a young kid), but since they are doing the Technic Porche in orange, my money is on yellow.  Yellow seems like one of the more iconic classic beetle colors anyway, so it fits well.

White would be pretty iconic also. but it's, well, white.  Boring.  That would be a dispointment

except if it's glow in dark white. I think chrome gold is more likely;..

Well , even if or just because they do green doesn't mean it has to be the cooper green. For instance lime green is almost another color altogether . How about that with some white dash on the doors and wheels

white doesn't have to be boring if they go the way of Herbie stripes

But very popular if it had "53" stickers.

^  precisely . Infact a full yellow beetle .. Would be more boring than a classy White Herbie. Yellow reminds me too much of the industrious Technic line.

I certainly thought of that when typing my white comment.  But that would be acquiring two two licenses for the same set...

I would be hoping for one of the newer yellow colors, instead of classic bright yellow.  Probably unlikely though.

I think cool yellow would look pretty cool, as would flame yellowish orange

A full yellow Beetle would make a great Bumblebee, as in G1 Transformers Bumblebee, not that Michael Bay garbage Bumblebee.

There's always next year's limited edition (and probable Beetle swan-song) - in metallic fuschia.

1966 Bahama Blue Volkswagen Beetle.  I learned how to drive in this model and it was new.  After mastering that clutch, I could drive anything.

Id rather have not seen it. I am gutted, not for seeing it but for it being bloody awful.

Do I win something for seeing it?  I think that was much more difficult that catching the @bendybadger raffle.

I saw it, and it looks pretty good to me.  (Not spectacular, but good nonetheless.)

I like it. Was about to order the mini but may put that back if this is due very soon.

When I read about surfboard, I assumed convertible with the board on the back seat sticking out the back. Still like it but once again, stickers on the windshields to mimic roof support like the Mini, oh well.

I'm not "blown away", but I like it enough to buy (after passing on the camper and mini).  The surfboard looks a little fat though and the front is off a little shape-wise, but given how round the vehicle is, it is more than acceptable.

It's cool but a little underwhelming. I was hoping for yellow or something. Does anybody know if that's dark azure or blue?

Looks pretty nice (though yeah, the surfboard design is awful).  Wonder if it'll be $99.
  • William_TownsleyWilliam_Townsley Perth, Scotland Member Posts: 880
    $69.99 according to the picture.

People who don't like stickers might have a problem seeing as I don't imagine it'll look right without it's A pillars.

And where does that big sticker (17) go?
  • ColoradoBricksColoradoBricks Denver, CO, USAMember Posts: 1,659
@TigerMoth it is two stickers separated by the #17, they are the pillars on the back window.
