Do we get an unboxing video?
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”
All evidence has now been destroyed (well, dismantled anyway).
Deconstructing the Death Star 2 and sorting into piles of parts, which are all over the living room before storing it all away baggies, all the while humming to myself the tune 'do you want to build a snowman' thanks to Sumolego's earlier post in the discontinued thread.
Bliss
Side-on view, slightly closer:
Here's a few pictures from the Rockefeller center store that I took last month
ticked off that my old love of harry potter is coming in to conflict with my new love of lego.
but with what amounts to book 8 of harry potter coming out at the end of july. and my almost pathological need to know what comes next with the harry potter world.
i find that i will have to set aside money that would go on lego. to buy the new book.
at £10 its not a cheap book. still amazon say it's RRP is £20 and that is insane.
hard back on not, the harry potter books was never that high in price. both books 5 and 6 was 16.99 in hard back. (cant find my book 7, its around but i would have to dig it out to see what price it was.)
ok so price of new stuff go's up over time. but its a book. this sounds like a money grab.
i just happy that amazon are selling it at 50% off. for pre-orders.
so in the end i have to save that £10 for this book.
and not spend it on lego.
just to give you a idea how bad my love of harry potter was. i had to own both formats of the movies Blu-ray and DVD, and when the 1st movies came out (back in them days it was DVD and VHS,) so we have the 1st 4 movies on VHS as well as all 8 on DVD and Blu-ray. as well as the 7 book's and 7 audio books on CD. and the 1st 4 books on audio tape.
so to brake that down,
book 1 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 2 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 3 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 4 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 5 in the following formats, book, audio CD, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 6 in the following formats, book, audio CD, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 7 in the following formats, book, audio CD, DVD Parts 1&2, Blu-ray Parts 1&2.
looking back at that list now i may have gone over the top.
And only one vendor had Disney CMF, and they were all preopened and not even a complete set available. I thought for sure someone would be selling unopened boxes.
It's all for a rather ambitious MOC that I'll be starting this week.
I have also, after much deliberation decided that I simply have to get #100247 Ferris Wheel. I've been eyeing it up for ages, but I've come to the conclusion that it's simply one of those sets that I will really regret not buying, if it went EoL and I didn't have it. So, that's going to be my major July purchase. :-)
I didn't buy it this time, but I'm really tempted to go back tomorrow...
I've started sorting everything, but it will probably take me another day as there are about 10,000 bricks!
We've started parting out 10181 Eiffel Tower. When my wife got me back in 2013 into Lego....this one and the Falcon were the big ones we wanted. We got the new Falcon last September so after getting everything reorganized and sorted, guess it's time to slay the white whale!
(Yea...been watching Arrow on Netflix ALOT!)
or legomental jnr?
