    Apparently...

When I go on vacation I get relaxed...

When I get relaxed I get on Bricklink...

When I get on Bricklink I order too much...

When I order too much I still do not think I have ordered enough...

And the cycle of the standard Bricklinking AFOL repeats until they return home and realize what they have done...

what the hell did that all cost?

Is there any way of getting eBay to refund the value of the voucher given I tried to apply it to the single order at least 10 times, including a few times with the customer service rep's assistance, and order failed to go through every single time? Sounds like the 20% off discount fiasco not too long ago that I heard so much about but didn't partake in.
Seriously, nobody is able to answer this or chime in with advice at all?

I can understand your frustration but there's really not much we can say, is there? It's up to eBay and their customer service as to what can be done and it sounds like you've tried them already. All you can do is keep talking to CS until you either get the answer you want or give up.

Feeling dirty after constructing a stand for the photos over on the photography thread using a few illegal building techniques...

All evidence has now been destroyed (well, dismantled anyway).

    Content and in parts heaven,
Deconstructing the Death Star 2 and sorting  into piles of parts, which are all over the living room before storing it all away  baggies, all the while humming to myself the tune 'do you want to build a snowman' thanks to Sumolego's earlier post in the discontinued thread.

@SumoLego, not so sure on the StarLord/Winter Soldier comparison, but have you seen this? Maybe they should have used a Luke Skywalker minifigure head...

I actually spent most of Winter Soldier thinking he looked like Mark Hamil - evidently I'm not crazy!

    today's Status is.
ticked off that my old love of harry potter is coming in to conflict with my new love of lego.
but with what amounts to book 8 of harry potter coming out at the end of july. and my almost pathological need to know what comes next with the harry potter world.
i find that i will have to set aside money that would go on lego. to buy the new book.
at £10 its not a cheap book. still amazon say it's RRP is £20 and that is insane.
hard back on not, the harry potter books was never that high in price. both books 5 and 6 was 16.99 in hard back. (cant find my book 7, its around but i would have to dig it out to see what price it was.)
ok so price of new stuff go's up over time. but its a book. this sounds like a money grab.
i just happy that amazon are selling it at 50% off. for pre-orders.
so in the end i have to save that £10 for this book.
and not spend it on lego.

just to give you a idea how bad my love of harry potter was. i had to own both formats of the movies Blu-ray and DVD, and when the 1st movies came out (back in them days it was DVD and VHS,) so we have the 1st 4 movies on VHS as well as all 8 on DVD and Blu-ray. as well as the 7 book's and 7 audio books on CD. and the 1st 4 books on audio tape.

    so to brake that down,
book 1 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 2 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 3 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 4 in the following formats, book, audio CD/tape, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 5 in the following formats, book, audio CD, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 6 in the following formats, book, audio CD, DVD, Blu-ray.
book 7 in the following formats, book, audio CD, DVD Parts 1&2, Blu-ray Parts 1&2.

looking back at that list now i may have gone over the top.

Well, yesterday's Lego status, anyway: got to visit a well-stocked branch of Toymaster! It was nice to see retired sets (TLM, Lone Ranger, Agents) on display, even if I was being good and confining myself to buying a couple of CMFs from series 14. (Hey, I had to buy something to support a local toy shop!) I don't really mind doubles because I love Hallowe'en and I know they'll come in handy for building dioramas - got my second Spectre and, at last, Tiger Woman!

Today while tidying up, I am finding sets in the garage that I didn't know I had so many of!  4 sealed Jabba's Sail Barges, 8 LOTR / Hobbit sets including 9471, 9472 and 79008 and a bunch of City sets.

I'm busy with BrickLink, but that's a good thing, even though it can distract from my own collection and non-LEGO activities. A clerk at a store I go to has a son who likes superhero LEGO, I mentioned that a local supermarket has some Batman sets 20% off. He said his son isn't getting any more LEGO until he finishes the sets he already has. I know the feeling. I have a couple small sets in my queue.

Went to a large toy show this weekend and was surprised by the lack of Lego items for sale. Some vendors still had Lego for sale but nothing spectacular that you couldn't find in stores this past year, and probably 75% of it was Star Wars.

And only one vendor had Disney CMF, and they were all preopened and not even a complete set available.  I thought for sure someone would be selling unopened boxes.

I'll try to get an unboxing "picture" sometime soon.

It's all for a rather ambitious MOC that I'll be starting this week.

Just picked up #40082 and #40083 off eBay, to add to my WV collection.

I have also, after much deliberation decided that I simply have to get #100247 Ferris Wheel. I've been eyeing it up for ages, but I've come to the conclusion that it's simply one of those sets that I will really regret not buying, if it went EoL and I didn't have it. So, that's going to be my major July purchase. :-)

So I've been trying to hold off on buying any more sets until I start building some of my backlog.  Today I found out the K-Mart the next town over was closing, and I found three boxes of 76021The Milano Spaceship Rescue at 30% off.

I didn't buy it this time, but I'm really tempted to go back tomorrow...

BrickLink order numbers currently start with 66. Kind of funny, especially if selling LEGO Star Wars

Here's the requested unboxing picture... it's really quite a mess.

I've started sorting everything, but it will probably take me another day as there are about 10,000 bricks!

    The Undertaking has begun....

We've started parting out 10181 Eiffel Tower. When my wife got me back in 2013 into Lego....this one and the Falcon were the big ones we wanted. We got the new Falcon last September so after getting everything reorganized and sorted, guess it's time to slay the white whale!

Today's status - week off work in theory to paint the kitchen and dejunk the house. So far found 17 previously unknown about lego sets. Kitchen now covered in lego. Small child delighted. Other half may be disappointed by lack of (no) progress later
