well, at least I'm not disappointed vision was one of the reasons why I've just bought the quinjet. though I guess it could be great for people who are into city.

looks like the most accurate version of Hawkeye! Tom Holland Spiderman looks great... I don't really care about the rest of the set since I own the other two figures and not a collector of city-like vehicles.. But I'll get it anyway.

I like the exploding tanker feature even if the knob is a bit oversized. I think I will see about modding it into a tanker car or two for the freight trains I have dreams of one day having the opportunity to finish.

Looks like a good set - besides the obvious (Spidey and another Vision), Roxxon's a longstanding piece of Marvel lore, I'll be very glad to add that to my Marvel shelf. I just hope it makes it to Sydney, 'retailer exclusives' have a habit of being no-shows even if the retailer is someone like Target or TRU who do have stores here; fingers crossed.

Actually, speaking of Roxxon... the faun legs, from the most recent pre-Disney CMF series, in green with a bit of silver detailing, would make the basis for a good Grasshopper minifig.  And the way Lego's done their version of the Ant-Man helmet, with the open mouth, again in green that'd match really well.  Wishful thinking, I know, but still.  (If you don't know who Grasshopper is, well, he's a really cool hero with neat suit-given powers and a lovely golden-age style character dynamic with his love interest, just... don't get attached.)

Any idea when the last civil war set comes out in stores? Will it come out together with the dr strange set? And will there be dc sets to come out along with them?

I believe #76067 - Tanker Truck Takedown is due out August and #76060 - Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum seams likely for September (three months before US release date, like most other Super Heroes sets based on movies.)

I was at the store yesterday and they had the all the Summer 2016 DC Comics, Super Heroes sets out including the retail exclusive #76056 - Batman: Rescue from Ra's al Ghul.

I think that covers just about all of the 'Agents of Shield' characters.

Just missing the guy playing Galaga, and the launch sequence guy.

For the SHIELD agent / football (soccer) lovers.. Here's my custom team to control all SHIELD vehicles.
I would love to do this but it is hard to source the shield torsos and the soccer (football) player heads here in the states. There are few torsos on bricklink.com and the only way to get them from [email protected] is through customer service. But in the states you have to provide the serial number from the set (on the back of the manual) and you can only get 1 (and lie that it is missing/broken, which I won't do).

Can people in other countries get licensed parts easily from [email protected]?

@eggshen there is something called bricks & pieces somewhere on the official LEGO website.
there you can order them with a larger amount!
I bought most of these pieces from bricklink and some of them come from sets I already owned

    @wardm

I recently ordered from Pick A Brick/Bricks & Pieces and their selection was minimalistic. Bricklink is probably the best bet, unless you compromise (e.g. Jewel Thief from CMF 15)

So, when is the Ghost Rider set due out in the US?
    VBaskin2008
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,534
^PayPal me $100 and it will be there next week with your name on it. ;-)

August 1 is the real answer though.

@wardm in the US the bricks and pieces selection does not include any piece that can be identified as licenced. So you can order a ton of the shield agent legs but you can't order the torso because it has the Shield logo. You can get replacements but you have to provide proof of purchase and are limited on how much and how many times you can do that.

I remember 2 years ago when a bunch of people in Europe were talking about making Green and Yellow Lantern Corps using torsos purchased from [email protected] and we couldn't get them here in the States. So jealous!

Did anyone else notice that Ghost rider bike in Spider-man Ghost rider team up looks kinda like the one from the Lego Marvel superheroes videogame ?

@SumoLego, don't say that, Ant-Man was a blink & you missed it release here, I was lucky I ordered one from [email protected], looks like the same for this one (had a similar vibe with the Ghostrider set, already have one coming).

It's not at all fair that we Americans have to wait until AUGUST for most of the summer wave of sets, when almost everywhere else already has them in most stores >:(

I'm a bit disappointed that there is no 'bad guy' minifig, and 'just' a half-emerging portal demon (or whatever Lovecraftian monstrosity it is) for the good Doctor* to battle against. It relegates it to a diorama display rather than a play set. That being said, I love diorama sets and this one is a corker!

    * no, not him.

@MaffyD : I wonder if if the guy in green is the 'bad' guy. I thought Baron Mordo when I saw it, but if they had to deal with Cthulu, it could be a mutual enemy, before getting back to their own squabble. I like that LEGO has considered even a half-Cthulu creature in a set.

My only real issue is that window, seriously they couldn't have done something better? Surely a translucent piece with the print of the window panes wouldn't have cost that much would it?
  • MattDawsonMattDawson Member Posts: 1,466
^ unfortunately that would have to be a ridiculously large piece, none of which exist. I think it's the horizontal bars that spoil it tbh.
  • MaffyDMaffyD Member Posts: 3,497
It's ok. The wall itself should be leaning inwards. The window should be rotated at a slight angle too - but that might not look as good...
What's that thing with a chain at the front?
    VorpalRyu
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,662
I don't like the window as well. the bits sticking from the top. and it looks like it's sticking out from the wall instead of being integrated to it, is it the way it's supposed to be?
I wonder what's the bit with black ball on the left. I also wonder if the tentacles monster may have some mechanism with gears in the back.
  • MaffyDMaffyD Member Posts: 3,497
^ There's an official description our out now - there's some levitation type mechanism and the tentacles eyes jaw rotate.

    http://brickset.com/article/22199/first-official-images-of-doctor-strange-s-sanctum-sanctorum

"Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum features a portal beast with rotating teeth, moving eyes and tentacles that can trap minifigures, shelves for mystical artifact accessories, levitation effect for 2 minifigures, and levitation function for Doctor Strange’s cloak."
  • ShibShib Member Posts: 5,459
The "levitation" play feature is pretty clear on the out of box image (two trans clear connector pieces coming through the wall)
  • MattsWhatMattsWhat Member Posts: 1,643
^and my guess is the technic lift arm (through wall on the left) can be used to 'hang' the cloak and make it levitate.  If it is, it's unusal to see a play feature that requires removing the cape from a minifigure, interesting though.
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,662
kind of bad for display. either your minifigs has no cloak, or there is a huge liftarm visible.

I'll probably just replace that section with a brick and take out the whole liftarm.

Tbh, I kinda like the window, and think it's a clever part usage. I can't see how they could have done much better, other than hiding those ends sticking out on the top.

I think Iron Man v Thanos and Superman v Bizarro are the best two including wave one.

Would it? Deadpool is occasionally an antagonist of the X-Men but mostly he'd be considered an "anti-hero". To me I'd think it makes more sense to have a more typical villain character like Magneto face off against Wolverine. Not to mention how cool Mageto's magnet-mobile looks!

Bloody hell! How did I miss these?
Anyway, I'll be getting them for any of my offspring that want them. Some grown-up thoughts:

The spider that Spider-Man has. Odd.
Scorpion looks cool, and his vehicle is awesome.
New mask for iron man. The collectors will NOT be happy! Edit: also not sure about new torso, but it's for the children, so I'm not too bothered.
Thanos' fist! Awesome! And the Infinity Gauntlet mobile! Double awesome!
Wolverine has a Blackbird! And he's finally the height he 'ought' to be!
And Magneto's eyes! They're better than the regular ones I have! Might swap those myself..

Okay, I'm definitely getting Wolverine vs Magneto. And perhaps my comments weren't quite as grown-up as they could be. I blame the wine. Thanks for sharing, @Adzbadboy!

My best guess is that it's due to a combination of Magneto being more well known/popular (being one of the main X-Men villains, including in almost every one of the movies that probably serve as a lot of people's introduction to the franchise), and his "magnet" powers inspiring a more unique and distinctive vehicle than Sabretooth, who does not really have any sort of "signature vehicle" to draw from, nor does his power set/aesthetic offer much more inspiration other than a somewhat generic animal theme.
