@MattDawson Curious if the build is more tedious than fun? The Tower Bridge is on my wishlist, but I'm not sure if it should be or not.

@Don For me, even though it took about half to two thirds of the day, it was really fun! I enjoyed the build thoroughly and I totally think it should be on your wish list. (It was certainly not tedious though ;)

It is a partial repeating design (per tower, and there's two of them) but all in all it's a good build. The towers are also hollow, which surprised me but they're turning out really strong.

And I think we've spent around 5 hours together building it, and my sister spent about 2 hours building it on the day it arrived.

With Big Ben coming out I think there is a bit more to the Tower Bridge - it has been out forever; still.  If you want it get it now.

Just about done Bricklinking Green Grocer in lime...however, I am having a hard time tracking down 1x8 in lime. I am hoping the "Volcano Explorer" sets have some 1x8s...fingers crossed.

I would love to see pics of that. It sounds like a fun color.
loved the sand green original color, but was not going to pay the "price". might change the awning accent to red...don't know yet.
Nice lime green colour scheme, this immediately popped into my head when I saw it, ha ha.

I love that cartoon and whenever I see the opening I think how cool it would be to build that building with Lego.  Though I have no skills to do such a thing.

    Hehe thanks @brumey.

It's definitely a spectacular modular in terms of the interior as well as some clever techniques.

The outside may not be as engaging, but nontheless works.  Just a beast to build as it is close to 5k pieces.

Just built the 4 new NEXO Knights Ultimate sets... Thought General Magma was a bit dull, also Flama, although a nice figure. Lance was a nice build, but really enjoyed Axl. Love the over-sized torso and fist assembly, especially.

Not sure they will but would love to see a Jestro figure in the Ultimate sets! The kind and queen would be fun to get as well.  I am guessing they many never put these in cheaper individual sets though.

Just finished the Ghost Rider set. The figures are great and the bike is very cool. I'd recommend this to anyone thinking of getting it. I'd post some photos but it's very late!

This is my first customization/extension of a set, so be gentle :-)

Below is my attempt on combining two #60050 Train Stations and adding a second platform.

Basically extended the store and mirrored the restaurant. Wanted to add a second platform and since the #7937 Train Station already has an overpass to access the second platform, I decided to go with an "underground" tunnel. The tunnel itself is not built, just the partial stairs on both platforms (the red rails with white columns); replaced the second set of doors with that platform's stairs.

Note: The "off-color" plates and bricks are the extra ones I will have to add (of the right color, of course) to complete the build.

I think that I was a little tired last night... I looked again at the 4 new NEXO Knights Ultimate figures this morning and I think I was a little harsh on General Magmar... His NEXO powers are certainly eye-catching, with trans orange and trans blue rotors.
My favourite is still Axl though.

    Here's the Ghost Rider set:

I loved practically every bit of this. I think Hobgoblin is a little confused on that glider though...

I picked up a #40052 Springtime Scene off eBay for a few quid, as it looked interesting. Anyway, it arrived yesterday, so I've just finished building it and it's a really nice set. For a poly, it's quite a decent size, with 88 pieces, which include loads of flower and cherry elements.
There's a nice little fountain, a bench and a really nice brick-built tree with white picket fencing.
All-in-all, it will add some nice scenery to my modular setups and I'm looking to add a few more of those 2013 Seasonal sets, if I can find them at a good price.

Starlord is kinda angry at Benny. He paid out his arse to have the Milano completely finished by the week's end but as Groot has pointed out.... something's missing! A medium gray sloped curve 4 x 2. Dammit Benny!

just finished #21013 "baby" Big Ben,
    nice little build.
    looks great.
this is the 1st of the Architecture theme that i owned/built.
so i dont know what others are like. there is a lot of repeating building that go in to this build. but as the model grows in size you get a good feel for the building it is a copy of. and i believe that is the idea behind this theme.

i going to try to limit the number of set i get from this theme.
i will try and keep it to uk models to start with and see how i get on with that.
knowing how i love to spend money i don't hold out a lot of hope.

Finished making some shadow boxes for my minifig collection.  Got a little wall touching up to do where an old shelf was.

The first one I did on the right had the row height 6 blocks aparts, which was a tad to low for the tall figures like the unicon or the wizard and princess. So the next one I did 7 bricks parts, which was better but just barely fit the case.  So I'll probably try 6 bricks and 1 or 2 plates whenever I have to add a 3rd display, heh.

    Good luck with that!
I started with #21023 Flatiron Building and now I have 13 sets (no skylines). Thinking about picking up #21012 Sydney Opera House from eBay *sigh*.

They all look good; some more than others, of course. The one I like the least is #21015 The Leaning Tower of Pisa, I think it is because it's all white.

Of the ones I own, I like most #21017 Imperial Hotel and #21024 Louvre. But I have not build #21014 Villa Savoye and #21018 United Nations Headquarters; but I doubt either one will be contender to those :-)

Just got my name tag done for LUG meetings and other events! Can't wait to wear it out, might wear it to work for the hell of it. ;)

The little assembly on the back is so that the thing doesn't sag or fall when I'm wearing it. I tested it out and it seems to be quite stable.

I know what you mean.  I started with #21022 now I have 15.  I love them all, but I'd have to say my favorite so far is The White House & Trevi Fountain.  I have The UN building coming in the mail and I have a feeling that is going to take the top spot

As I mentioned before, this is my first customization/extension of a set.

Here are pictures of the #60050 Train Station extension using two copies of the sets. Second platform accessed through a tunnel that does not exists besides partial stairs on both sides.

    https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=4F906A6D0B2F6D50!330542&authkey=!ADI_FWCzaAMGiOA&ithint=album,

Made minor adjustments from my original posting, but nothing you will probably notice.

Already ordered the missing parts from S@H.

If by "space" you mean "the floor in the living+dining room", then yes, there's space for a decent layout ;-)
