Heads up!
This Sunday until 23:59 hours, toy-store chains
Intertoys and
Bart Smit (both sudsidiary companies of Blokker Holding) are having an
online sale with 15% on all toys including Lego.
Intertoys has in both the Netherlands as well as in Belgium stores, I therefore assume this sale may also be held in Belgium. I do not know if this is also true for Bart Smit toyshops?! Are there also Bart Smit stores in Belgium?
Each customer is only allowed to purchase two Lego sets. Delivery is free with purchase over €20,--
The millenium Falcon
#75105 was already discounted €10,-- with the additional 15% discount, you can now purchase that set for €127,50
I am not sure if you will be able to get a better deal on this set, and some other sets in the near future!?!
I do not collect trains, but I saw there is also a huge value pack train set
#66493 on sale for €161,49
I don't know, is that a good deal, or not?! It does not look bad to me.
So if you did not already max out :-( over at LegoS@H this October with double VIP points you got, and the Christmas train set gift, you might want to check it out. :-)
ps.
I hope the info is useful, if you know of any other (better) deals in the Netherlands, or in Belgium that also extend to the Netherlands, please feel free to share them. I believe most Dutch companies will ship items to Belgium too, either free or without additional charges in most cases.
Comments
Intertoys and Bart Smit have got different websites for Belgium/the Netherlands and because of this the prices are not always the same, VAT is different. Thanks for thinking of us Belgians though! Bart Smit had 15% off today in Belgium as well but I picked up loads of stuff this week in Dreamland/Collishop. They don't send to the Netherlands, otherwise I would have included you! I also made a topic about 'Fun' shops, but as far as I know they dont deliver to the Netherlands.
Shops like speelgoed.nl and Atembo do deliver to belgium, for a small fee.
15% off is great for some sets you are right and it's great more people are mentioning these deals, even for our little countries!
Yes, Atembo is a very nice shop/company. Their prices are very competitive, among the very best even. The person dealing with emails is always very friendly too. It has been quite while though since I last ordered something there, as I usually look around for good deals and then sometimes find it even a little cheaper elsewhere. Also Atembo never includes shipping costs, no matter how large your order is. Those +/- €6 to €8 shipping costs (depending on if you want extra insurance etc.) can really make the difference.
Brickshop-dot-nl (I write it like this because for some reason the one time I mentioned this store in a comment, and linked to it, it did not get posted, which never happened before or since) sometimes has good offers too. Though most of their prices are the same as those of TLG, or that of most other retailers. Sometimes current sets, for reasons unknown to me, sold at brickshop are more expensive than anywhere else. They do however often have discounts on new sets. They will also deliver to Belgium.
Anyway, thanks for mentioning speelgoed.nl, I am not familiar with them.
ps.
BTW is 21% in both Belgium and the Netherlands to my knowledge.
pps.
Maybe we should create one thread on the forum for all special offers in NL & B , instead of a bunch of loose topics that all become obsolete after a short while.

So if you are on the look out for a big and expensive set NOW might be the time to buy it.
This is what the 'fine print' stipulates:
"De actie is alleen geldig in Nederland, in de webshop en in alle winkels van Intertoys."
I don't know how far you live from the Dutch border, and the nearest Intertoys shop in NL. And of course how large the Lego selection is in the nearest Intertoys to you is, which varies from shop to shop, but if you live close by, and you have the time visit an Intertoys shop today or tomorrow, go have a look. In Amsterdam all shops (in the centre anyway) are always open seven days a week through out the year. In small towns it might be different on Sundays.
I went to have a look at two Intertoys shops in Amsterdam yesterday, one of them has an entire Lego department, which is huge, selling even more different sets then they do on-line, including new sets that are not even available on [email protected]. The really big shop at Damrak in Amsterdam sells almost as many different sets as you can find in an official Lego shop, such as the one in Köln in Germany. The other shop I had a look around in, has a substantially smaller Lego 'isle' selling mostly small, and medium sized sets (but never any tiny fun poly-bags *grumble grumble!).
Just be aware that their standard price on many smaller and medium sized sets in often a higher than at Legoshop@home, so I reckon it is only worth your while when you want to buy the really big sets. CMFs are also ridiculously expensive at Intertoys.
These traditional retailers really need to change their game plan or they soon end up like the dinosaurs, with their marked up prices. Hopefully Amazon.nl will start selling Lego too in the future.
ps.
Ooh and all 'friends' sets are also discounted. I don't know if they will give you this 'celebratory' extra discount on top of the discount on those sets from that theme too?! But you can try. A staff member in one of those shops told me that some managers are strict where as others are happy to give you an extra discount when you ask them about it.
Hope the info is useful to you!?! Good luck bargain hunting this weekend.
