    The imperial shuttle isn't too bad of a deal - 20% off + double VIP + promo. That is probably the only set I would have been interested in.

    It was corrected by a Lego Store employee that it was $50 not $75.

    Yes, you had to have a special invite to purchase at the store an hour prior to the normal opening. The invites were first offer to LUG members and if they didn't use up all 28 of them, the store handed them out to whomever they choose.

    I just discovered that at [email protected] it is now a hard "$50 of Star Wars Lego" to get the promo figure.  It would seem the "keychain loophole" has been closed.

    Someone posted the instructions to the Space Slug and said you could buy the pieces for 27 Euros on BL/BO. No special pieces.

    But the box on the other hand...

    I noticed that too about the whole 50$ needs to be SW unlike previous years. There just isn't 50$ of SW that I wanted, so I guess I'll skip out on ordering this year for the figure. It was lackluster anyway, but I had considered ordering other sets and some SW to make up the difference. I guess I'll keep my money and wait for a sale on amazon or somewhere.

    Luckily I held back on the 2016 releases, especially the ones that got the sales slash, and though some of the sets were going to be shipped in mid-May, I didn't care. As long as I met the criteria for the promos, I was good.

    Grrr...just got an email that they have cancelled the May the 4th Poster portion of my order. (My Shuttle Tydirium has not shipped yet)

    I'm actually mildly upset by this :(

    I hope they don't cancel my poster also...I actually ordered primarily for the poster since I have the other 6 posters from last summer/fall. I didn't get anything on sale, so I could have just bought the set in a store outside of dealing with shop at home...hmm, I guess we will see what happens.

    I'm bummed because I bought EV at a Lego Store and they had run out of the Storm Trooper poly. I was hoping that they would at least give me an elves poly or a MMB they were running that night. But no dice. Would [email protected] ship me one if I contacted them?  I could give them the receipt number as proof?  Anyone done this?

    Sounds like the West County mall, St. Louis Lego store.  They don't even do damaged box VIP points.  Easily the worst Lego store that I've been to.

    Take it back to the store and buy EV online if the poly is still available online?

    Anyone else receive their May the 4th SW backordered sets?  I haven't...wasn't expecting to because it said 'backordered until  the 16th or 19th..something like that.  But today I received my SW poster and #30602 F.O. Stormtrooper poly in padded envelope.  The poster is all creased and warped like it's spent the week inside a grade schoolers backpack.  Plus when they put it inside the envelope it wasn't put all the way in so the envelopes seal/paper is all over the poster too.  Why can't they just wait to send stuff with the set?

    I ordered a UCS TIE that was backordered for later this month but got a shipping notice yesterday.  I was hoping the Stormtrooper poly would be sent separately (like in your case) but it wasn't.  Past experience shows that those minifig polys wreak havoc on UCS boxes by repeatedly leaving minifig head-sized indents all over when the package gets inevitably bounced around during shipping.  :(

    I ordered a Shuttle Tydirium and Battle on Takodana that were both backordered, and I got them in seperate shipments yesterday and the day before that.

    Especially when you consider that LEGO has perfected the art of damaging the large set box by placing promotional minifigure underneath.

    It is a bit surprising as I thought [email protected] had shifted to not sending the promotional items until the rest of the order shipped.

    Which is really unfortunate as I was hoping they'd separate the shipment.  My poster was shipped separately (and was pretty wrinkled since they just sent it in a padded envelope) but that was probably only because I put a separate request in for one as it was missing from my order.

    Every SW set in my $53 order was back-ordered and did not arrive until this week.  Which really wasn't a problem, but they did cancel the poster for being out of stock. I sent a message to Lego customer service and asked for a replacement, and got a quick response.  I got an option to receive 100 VIP points or a Darth Revan minifigure.  Any guesses on which one I picked?  

    I figure there are several in the same boat as me and wanted to say a nice email to one of the best customer service teams goes a long way!

    I feel terrible for you.  I'd happily trade my poster for the Darth Revan.  Just to help you cope with the loss.  :)

    Wow, I wish I had that option.  I placed an order on the last day of the promo and noticed the poster wasn't automatically added to my cart.  I e-mailed CS about it afterwards and they only offered to send me the poster, which came crumpled because they shipped it in a bubble mailer.  =(

    I didn't get the poster either. It was in my cart and showed up on my confirmation email. I have been offered the poster from either episode II or episode IV, my choice. I already have both so I guess I'm going for another episode IV.

    My poster from the 4th arrived crumpled, ripped and the not entirely put in the envelope so the envelope tape was stuck to the poster.  I called CS and their sending me a Episode 4 poster....whatever that is.  Hopefully this person packing it doesn't decide to make a paper airplane out of it and send it on it's merry way.

    My First Order Stormtrooper apparently LOVED my poster.  Judging by the multiple face imprints, he was making out with it all through shipping.

    Sounds like the poster promotion did not go very well.  I just can't believe that they still have DRs in the warehouse.  Maybe there is hope for other promotional minfigs from years past hanging around in there too?

    Well if they are anything like some LEGO stores, they probably do have older figures that were promos but leftover that they hand out when there is a problem.

    My Sandcrawler arrived today, and amazingly not only was the (loose) poster in good shape, but the Storm Trooper minifig didn't appear to do any damage to the box or the poster. Based on what I've been hearing, I'm considering myself lucky.

    Surprisingly, the minifig poly also didn't leave pockmarks all over the box BUT they didn't use ANY cushioning inside the shipping box so the heavy Lego box (UCS TIE) bounced around and got a huge dent in the corner.  They did offer to send a replacement in exchange, though, so fingers crossed that this one will be OK.  They also asked if I could send pictures of how it was shipped and the damage to the Lego box to a separate e-mail address.  Must be a new thing since they've never asked me to do that in the past when I contacted them about damage due to shipping.

    A few new sets added to the sales page. Of particular note, the Speed Champions Porsche set for -20%. As this is a TRU exclusive (IIRC) might be one of the best deals to be had for it.

    I've heard multiple theories on this, since I just assumed they threw the promo in first.  Some say they box stuff with the flap end taped first (label side), which might explain why the big sets are upside down when you open them most of the time.  If this is the case, they really throw the promo in last.  Either way, I can't even begin to count how many times I've received big sets with promos under them and the front side of the boxes have dings, tears, and holes in them.

    And both are $5-7 too expensive.  Just look at all of the starter city sets. 4 figs and a mini build (double the parts total) for $10!  Its odd that they price these army builders so high.
