My Rafiki needs a do over and there are some other refinements, but progress is being made.
Emperor Palpatine - 1983
And so it is done, it has been an interesting build and there are some really clever building techniques involved to hold it all together.
It is quite a repetitive build if you follow the instructions, but going forward and backwards to split up the sections that repeat on themselves made it more interesting.
I must admit that after this I feel the need to buy an elves set or something else with a lot of colour in as I think I've gone grey blind.
I found myself repeatedly having to look for some of the parts baggies towards the end even though I knew I had just had them.
All in all this is a really impressive display piece and I'm glad that I got to build it, sorting and re-bagging all those parts in a few weeks time, not so much.
At least there is a list of parts shown.

It is pretty strait forward. The hard part is to get you brain to reverse the instructions as your putting the pieces together. I did not have to add or delete any pieces.
For the blue pet shop I changed just one piece. For the spelled out words in the middle white column I switched a white 1x1 brick with side stud to a 1x1 with studs on two sides so I could attach a plate to both sides.
My four year old finished this though. He built this wedding set for my brothers girlfriend and switched out the people for the duck heads. She is a Disney collector and she has a great fondness for Donald so he wants to give this to her. It took him sooooo long to build this. He was so frustrated because the top kept breaking while he was pushing it down, pieces would go flying and he'd have to start over. He was so happy when he finished it. He asked me if I had "a see through small blanket with gems" for Daisy's head instead of a bow so I guess he's looking for a veil.
The brown buildings looks great like that... Now I have to buy a 2nd Pet Shops :(
Why @sweetness34? Why?!!!
but just image 3 side by side :)
Who can guess the set?
Is this what Sarumon felt like?
@MaffyD
No, this one was down to looking up the parts on Bricklink, managed to find the set from part 6061 (2 x 4 x 2 Brick) that sits on the wing panel.
I may need to get out more. :)
While this is not an update to the build, I thought I would show my currently assembled Uruk Hai army. I'm at about 810 (there's approximately 760 pictured). I've got quite a few more in storage which I'll pull out to get to 1,000 for a 10:1 scale of Helm's Deep.
The maze does tilt to one side because of the Canary Wharf but this does not affect the actual playing of the maze.

How about this one:
And no I don't own it and yes I need help.
Edit: without checking the inventory on whatever site has it or the instructions - I'm looking at you @bandit778 :-)
needless to say, I'm excited!
The trans panels are in there somewhere, and the stickers were with the instructions, off to one side.
Where did you pick these up?
The sky castle in particular is a lovely build - the colours, the portal, the attention to detail...
