^^That's definitely a day one purchase for me.

It may be the best Technic set to date, the thing just looks monstrous.

Were probably talking £300+ though easily. i may have to give the 1966 Batcave a miss.
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,709
a 4600 pieces set, then a 2700 one and a 3900 one? I suppose it won't take too long anymore before they break the 6000 barrier.

^Like someone mentioned on Brickpicker, the prices have probably been mixed up with the #42056. Which i must say is also a day one purchase.

From just having a quick look the Bucket Wheel its going to be £249.99.

Well it's a bit into the year, but I'd say my want list has changed from January 1.

Originally wanted Batcave and Ghostbusters HQ, but I think the cost is too much for what you get (for what I would want). So I'll scratch them off the list.

Brick Bank will still be on the list, probably for Christmas.
If it isn't a rehash of a Winter Village set, that will be guaranteed.
I have purchased a handful of Super Hero sets for the figures. I'll need to round out the figure list hopefully sometime.
I've picked up a few Nexo knights for fun, but I don't think I'll get any more.

So I think most of my spending has been on bricklink, which is a first. Maybe I can spend less money for once??

    lighthouse siege as well

The Porsche is constantly moving around my wish list, from On, to Maybe, to Off. The main reasons are:

    1. The proportions are gorgeous and the mechanicals technically impressive.

    2. The price!

    3. I don't normally buy Technic.

    4. One of the most iconic supercars in the world.

    5. The colour (this can switch between a pro and a con depending on my mood)!

    Repeat ad nauseam.

    Other sets:

    #21029-1 Buckingham Palace

    #76058-1 Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-Up

    #76060-1 Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum

#76067-1 Marvel Super Heroes Captain America: Civil War 2016

#ISBN1465450459-1 LEGO Star Wars: Build Your Own Adventure

If this is really $90 then it's really overpriced (might need to use my VIP points on this one plus the Oil  Station). Still my Rebellion needs a space command ship.

How is $90 for a 936-piece Star Wars set overpriced? That seems like it'd be a pretty reasonable price for a set that size from any theme, besides maybe a basic brick theme like Classic. In fact, #7675, #7962, #9500, #9526, #75019, #75025, #75094, #75096, and #75103 and were all $90 sets with close to the same number of figs and considerably fewer parts. And many of those would cost even more today if you adjusted for inflation.

    #75158 will be mine.
    at some point.
anyone willing to bet this will be a TRU only item in the uk?
  • RirinetteRirinette Member Posts: 84
    Wall-E
    Big Bang Theory
    Jokerland
    Pet Shop
    Ghostbusters
    Brick Bank

If I could get at least 2 of the above I'll be happy. I already bought 3 sets this year and finances are thin as I'll be going back to school in September (for a career change).

Wouldn't surprise me. Sets that take us this long before we first see them are usually store exclusives, and ones this size are usually Toys 'R' Us exclusives.

On the subject of exclusives, I'm still wondering when we'll get the first pics of #70590. We've seen both of the other Ninjago store exclusives for this year (#70588 and #70596). If I had to guess about 70590 I'd say it's probably a Target exclusive in the States. Once we've seen all the Ninjago sets for this year it'll be a bit easier for me to start narrowing down which ones I want and which I'm willing to skip. It's a tough call though, because while I can get individual figs and collectibles on the aftermarket if it comes down to it, most of the sets this year are really impressive designs in their own right.
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,709
does that often happen that store exclusives are flagships?
  • ChubblesChubbles Member Posts: 459
I'll get #75158 but only after a discount, much like all the other Rebel sets they look a lot better when they are cheaper

Depends on which you're referring to as a flagship. #70596 Samurai X Cave Chaos ($120) is the first example I can think of where the largest and most expensive set of a specific year of a specific theme has been a store exclusive. But last year, the #70732 City of Stiix, a $100 set, was a Toys 'R' Us exclusive. The only larger non-D2C set that year was #70738 Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty ($120).

Like City of Stiix from Ninjago, #75158 Rebel Command Frigate is a big set ($90), but not the largest Star Wars set of the year or even the largest Star Wars Rebels set of the year. Excluding D2C sets, that honor would go to #75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE ($120).

I notice a lot of folks are looking to purchase the Ferry this year, myself included. is there any particular reason for the interest in this set? I happen to enjoy any transportation sets and anything with the Harbor subtheme seems to fetch a premium down the road. are my sentiments shared?

another observation I have is the perceived lack of interest in the Architecture series. I am waiting with excitement for The Capitol Building. The architecture line got me re-interested in Lego though lately I have been venturing into Creator and City.

Looking forward to future deals to get #75158 as I think it will go nicely with #75127 docked to the side of it (without the Hera minifig sitting on top obviously)

I haven't seen the piece count but it does look a lot meatier that similiar priced sets (and its scale is just right when placed beside the first system set Imperial Star Destroyer.

I have the Ferry in my general collection and its a pretty neat set. In my LEGO world that's how my citizens and Imperial Troops use as a in planetary tranportation to cross rivers when they are just doing escort business or just transporting some "newly mined pieces" from the Lego Mine to the construction sites in the Capital just crossing a canal (on project near the mine is the Dimensions Portal from the same named game).

Yeah, definitely getting the Ghost Rider set. I have a feeling he will be like Deadpool and not be seen again after this set.

I'd like to get the ferry too. I think I like it because it feels like a throwback to the old harbour sets that I never appreciated back in the day. It was something like £16 a while back and if it goes down to that again I'll likely pick it up.

#76067-1 Marvel Super Heroes Captain America: Civil War 2016 has just gone off my list.

I'm still debating the merits of Ghost Rider, although if he goes all Netflix on us we'll never see him in Lego form again...

Some of the 2016 Summer sets are starting to show up on you tube.  Jang has a vid of the new Creator Vacation Getaways and the Brickshow Guys have several of the new Star Wars sets up now.

Vacation Getaways remains at the top of my list. Such a great addition to an already stellar 2016 Creator lineup. Vader's Tie Advanced vs. A-Wing, although over priced imo, looks fantastic as well.  I really like the look of the Rebels Phoenix Squadron A-Wings.

I will say that if you are wanting the City and non-exclusive creator sets in the US watch Amazon and yoyo.com like a hawk as there have been some really good deals on these sets via those two sites.

Way too much next month for me, I'd already planned on getting the '66 Batcave, but now I need to add...

    - All three Spidey sets - £165
    - The Scarecrow set - £60
    - The Ra's set - £40
    - Tie Advanced/A-Wing set (just for the Tie) - £80.00

Already thats looking like around £575! Plus I wanted to pick Croc up separately too. I guess I'm going to have to think of something to get the money.... :-/

I may have gotten a peak of the new Lego Rogue One SW sets and let me tell you I am most interested in (order of wanted level): AT-ST (model looks solid and my troops need a new walker for desert operations); the Imperial Landspeeder (a military cargo vehicle); Tie Hunter (looked like a Tie Phantom to me until it was named Hunter, the Phantom has three dagger like wings).

Well, another year almost goes by is and we are stating to get new official images of upcoming sets. This list will only have sets revealed by LEGO for release during 2017, no leaks please as there are people that would love to be suprised when the announcements happen and not all leak news are true:
    Lego City:
    -60136 Police Starter Set (the ATM machine is expectacular and the set has a nice balance with figures to populate both Lexcorp and Extremis);
    -60140 Bulldozer Breakdown (a bank that is price attainable, a different colored bulldozer, new female police hair/hat, needs MOC however to complete the bank);
    -60147 Fishing Boat (a nice civilian addition to my city to add variety);
