^ If they put Strucker in an AoU set, it would make sense that the as-of-yet-to-be revealed Baron Zemo would be in that set.

Maybe we get another Martin Freeman minifig?

I reckon we'll get Baron Zemo and Spiderman. Not that bothered about either of them to be honest (rumour is Zemo will not be wearing his classic hood, and I have enough Spidermen to populate a small island) but would like to know what the actual set contains - vehicles, diorama, what? Might be the prison where they intend to hold all the non-registered heroes...

    10x tan ali 24x48 baseplates
    10x white ali 24x48 baseplates
those baseplates are 1.65€ a piece. cant really do much wrong! if they suck i can put them on ebay for 2€ a piece

    also:
    #4435 car and caravan
    #7639 camping wagon
    #60117 van & caravan

this will make a great trailer park with my already owned #60057 and the upcoming #31052

wondering how to do randy hickey , earls brother, as a minifig?  suggestions?

^ The upcoming creator lighthouse includes a brick built Orca Whale.  Brick built animals seems to be the theme for Creator this year.

Have been waiting months and months for a good deal on #75105, and finally the day has come. For Costco members in Canada, the Millennium  Falcon is $25 off right now, which is the best deal I've seen on it.

It's one I remember seeing in the catalogue and the Lego shop in Birmingham and wanting it. I managed to acquire the container crane - #4514

I also remember seeing the Santa Fe and BNSF trains and my mom over-ruling me on buying them, saying "I didn't have any other Lego trains to run them with".

On another note, I WON THE AUCTION! #4512 was won at a grand total of £127.95 (including fee and p+p), not bad considering it cost £99 when new.

Popped in to TRU on my way home to get a Tapsy Mixel for my brother's birthday as he used to be a drummer and ended up getting the demolition starter set for myself as well. Funny how that can happen.

A little late to the show but purchased #10225 UCS R2-D2.  Got it for $260 with instructions and box which isn't too bad of a markup for a retired SW set.

if i was you and only had that to pick from i would get the misb grand emporium.
the haunted house is a nice set. but would not sit with any of my themes i own.
now if i had the scooby doo theme it may go with that one.
but grand emporium is only going to go up in price.

I agree. I mean, I really want both (I collect Hallowe'en stuff and still can't believe I didn't throw myself into Monster Fighters back in the day) but I suspect that it'd be easier to MOC a Haunted House look-alike than a Grand Emporium one - a quick glance through makes it look as though there are more rare parts in the latter...

#9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep turned up today from @Si_UKNZ (Thanks!) and I also have a #30211 Uruk-Hai with ballista and #79005 The Wizard Battle turning up from eBay shortly.
That just leaves me with #9471 Uruk-Hai Army to get hold of and I think that I'll be just about done for the LOTR theme...

And no, @MattsWhat, I won't be looking to get a Tower of Orthanc! ;-)

I would go with the HH. I owned a GE for a short time a few weeks ago, and it looks great from the outside... But the inside is seriously lacking.

we all know he's going to get one.
    just a matter of time.

and here one why it could come about.
he will wish to do a display of the Uruk-Hai Army marching out of the Tower of Orthanc, on root to the Helm's Deep, sitting at the other end of the display table. :)

the sort of display i plan to do with my Nexo Knights when i have all the 2016 set's

But the Tower looks so cool - an amazing display piece which doesn't scream LEGO when turned around and placed on a side coffee table in the lounge. I've surprised many a visitor with my 'obsidian display ornament' when they looked closer and I turned it around!

Please stop it, all of you! ;-)

Read my lips: No Tower of Orthanc!

The most that I have ever spent on a LEGO set was £169.99 for #70751 Temple of Airjitzu and I'll be spending a similar amount on #21128 The Village. £350 or more is beyond what I am willing to pay for any retired set, however amazing it is and however tempting @chrisalddin's display idea sounds... I do wish that I had been out of my DA when it was around, but that wasn't the case. :-(

Edited to add: I'm going to hold off even starting building TBoHD until I can source an Uruk-Hai Army, but I'm really looking forward to doing so... Can't wait! :-)

Out of curiosity, has anybody tried buying the parts for the Tower of Orthanc individually on BrickLink/BrickOwl? I know that's something people often do with the older modular buildings, and it seems like it'd be far easier with Tower of Orthanc since it's built primarily from fairly common black and grey parts. If your main interest in it were as a display piece that might be worth investigating. The only super rare parts in the set, to my knowledge, are the Palantir and certain printed parts.

Hmm, I had been looking at available sets on eBay and the summary on BL and it looked very high indeed, so I didn't dig further. However, BL does look a lot better globally, but there are only two sellers in the UK, who are asking £800 (!) for a new and £500 (!) for a used set.
European Union sellers look better... Prices around €300 - 350 for MISB... Hmmm...

    Oh no... :-(

I picked up #21304 Doctor Who on a whim today, as I was passing TRU, with a £10 off voucher in my pocket.
I'm not a great fan of the latest series, but I'm very glad that I got the set, as it's really nice.

Just placed a few orders on Bricklink for another Cafe Corner 2nd floor using substituted window frames. I actually bought 40 of them to replace the original ones as well so the model looks consistent. If anyone is interested in doing this it cost me around $100 (in comparison to the ones on ebay selling for $200 with the same substitution).
