^ They said that their son had already sold them to somebody else, and taken a deposit. I am exceedingly doubtful that they got three times what I paid for the lot, as it isn't worth much more than that as complete sets on Bricklink.

I tried to convince my wife that a Lego floor would be cost effective, given the excess amount of bricks I have in storage.

I do not have a Lego floor.  And I was forced to hide my extra bricks in a different location.
Haha now you made me want a lego floor.

I have generally found standing on Lego to be painful.  I am in the "I do NOT want a Lego floor" camp.

^I would imagine you would use tiles and not bricks with studs.

its the corners and edges which are the worst part of the lego bricks, the studs themselves arent that nasty

I assume you'd build it sideways, so you'd be walking on the sides of the bricks...

I was assuming there would be a thick coat of polyurethane over a field of random Lego.

But for you OCD folks, the Lego logos would all have to line up on the studs.

BrickBank was completed over the weekend. The old building site MOC has been removed and the new modular installed. I've extended the pavements out six studs to cover the edge of the road plates. My mini street is finished, I just need to figure out a few finer details on the pavements.

My plan is to keep an eye on the new modulars and swap these three around to suit.
Nice, looks like batman is keeping your city safe there! lol
Yep. And Deadpool is on the Detectives Office balcony keeping watch too!

well i have made a start on #10220 but it going slow. maybe as i am doing it about 3 steps as a time with about 30 mins to 2 hours gaps. got to step 21, i can tell the small detail on this set is quite high even at this stage.

That nervous feeling when you ordered the Batcave and Mr. Freeze polybag, but when opening the shipping box can only see the Batcave box, meaning Mr. Freeze might be Mr. Crushed.

Or you have Mr. Freeze face-prints on your Batcave box.

I don't have cats, but given as I hear bunnies and cats behave similarly in some cases:
Keep the small parts in tubs, until you trust your pet to not think of it as food.
Close off tight spaces you don't want your pet to go/it could get stuck in, like under couches and under or behind furniture.

Most of the sets I put on BrickLink weeks ago still haven't sold even after price cuts. I'm tempted to part them out.

I bought a job lot today. Someone was selling their 18 y/o son's collection. I paid full price... Fast forward several hours, and they are trying to buy them back from me for over three times what I paid for the lot. Anybody else had this happen?
Maybe it's a scam, like they'll pay you back with a bad check or something.

^I never pay with a check nor do I accept payment with a check. If I paid in cash I expect to get cash in return. This is only for Craigslist and garage sale transactions of course.

What are you selling on Bricklink?

When you're building get used to having to blow on each piece before you add it or you'll find bits of cat hair sticking out of the joins.....or maybe that just happens in my house & maybe I should hoover more...

Same problem here. I mean, I should definitely hoover more, but no amount of hoovering has ever been known to eradicate it!

I find cats are all different; some will completely ignore Lego and other small toys, while others need careful watching! Might be handy to put anything you're working on on trays, rather than loose on a table/floor, so that it can easily be lifted up and shut in another room or cupboard if the cat's getting too involved.

A few modern sets I got for and am selling at well below MSRP. I also have some loose parts. I'm wondering if I should break up the sets to add to the part inventory.

The bump code someone posted on here (mostly) worked for me - I've now got two fauns! I also misread Not The Ultimate Warrior's code, resulting in my getting him when I wanted Not Brian Blessed In Flash Gordon, but hey, Not Ulty's parts will come in useful for various things...

    And the picture is gone.
On a Lego note, picked up another #75137 to help with my planned expanded version. Having a few technical difficulties on LDD trying to get gears to mesh properly so I can have a lifting platform.
