^ try a few local Argos stores.
They may still have a value pack hanging around on clearance, for about £40.

managed to get 10 poly-bags from various sellers at a local car boot sale for a total of £19.

    All sealed, they are:-

    #30010 x1, #30053 x1, #30183 x2, #30302 x1, #30041 x1, #30189 x2, #30021 x1 & #30301 x1

Work's out at about £1.90 per poly-bag & what is good is I did not have any of these in my poly-bag collection so well chuffed :)

^ Great find. The Technic Pit Droid is a neat little set. I love how LEGO was able to recreate the pop-up function like TPM pit droids.

I went into GameStop to see if they had any leftover Silver Centurions from the Avengers game preorder, and to my surprise, the guy gave me one! I bought a season pass so I at least bought something, but I was surprised at how willing they are to give things away. I've heard GameStop doesn't always get a lot of preorders for things, and promo stuff justs ends up sitting in drawers. If you ever miss out on something, it doesn't hurt to just ask!

Found and bought 2 of #115, complete with box, 2 of #40130 sealed, #211 complete, #615 complete, most of #41061, and several pounds of Bionicle for $50 total. The #115 sets really take me back, as they were one of the very few sets I had when I was a KFOL. Grandma thinks the #211 set is really cute.

Left the $400 UCS Yoda in a battered box sitting on the shelf, heading back today to see if they want to negotiate.

CMF Series 14 Fly Monster lying around the shelves at target. Just the minifigure parts, nothing else. My guess is that someone opened a pack, didn't like what they got, and left it.

I went to Game Stop today too.  After talking with an employee for a few minutes, he pulled Iron Man 30168 from a drawer and asked if I had it.  When I replied no, he handed it to me and said...enjoy?   I was certainly surprised.

Could you give us a play-by-play on who you managed to coax him out of it? (Just joking you don't have to haha).

Jackad7  I'm new to this so I don't know how to add your comment for my response.
I asked about the minifig with the new video game to be released.  I told him I don't have a game system but was interested in the minifig, and he gave me the Iron Man.  Apparently there are some people who take pity on old fashioned grandmother's who have never played a video game. :)

I was so happy that I finally got an awesome deal on Lego!! I was at my local Meijer today and got each of these for .35¢ !!   I actually had to go up and down each toy aisle scavenging because they were just thrown all over lol .  Only 1 was hanging where it was supposed to go.

Adelec UK: All my local charity shops seems to think that all Lego is golden. They were trying to sell an incomplete (only about 2/3 of the pieces and none of the minifigs) #6211 star destroyer in a properly beat up box for £200 because they'd seen a used one on ebay for that price. Seems a fair price for a complete example with a pristine box and instructions.

I think it's just the odd one that aren't clued up, and I am not really complaining, except I would have paid more than £2.99 for the Harry Potter Lego. I wouldn't dream of paying £200 for Lego in a charity shop. The post above where I bought the Super Car for £40, for hubby turned out to be something completely different and lady in shop said she had spent 5 hours sorting it! You,d think she might have noticed it was the wrong car!

I picked up an #8016 Hyena Droid Bomber box at a thrift store a couple months back that actually contained #6747 Racer Rider motorcycle - for $10 I was happy to bring it home. I make it a point to check all the building toys when I hit the thrift stores, because I keep finding LEGO mixed in with other stuff.

It's more likely to be a large bag of Lego that turns out to be mostly mega blocks.

Picked up a #41058 Heartlake Mall for $50 at WM clearance. Could resell someday but I think this will be a Christmas gift for my 7 year old- besides she likes to have Daddy help build!

as i said on other post's. but i count the following buys as good deals .
so i will add my bragging post here. to join all the others who found that killer deal.

    starting with #75102 Poe's X-wing for £44.99 RRP £69.99 saved £25 (that's about 35%)

next up we have #75103 1st Order Transporter for £49.99 RRP £79.99 saved £30 (that about 37.5%)

    last is #75099 Rey's Speeder for £13.04 RRP £19.99 saved £6.96 (that's about 34.5%)
the Speeder is from the Amazon Warehouse.

what should have cost £169.97 in all i saved £61.96
i dont think that to shabby that's about 36.5% off in all.
    i am Quite happy.
1,702 lego parts. the 3 set's combined is on par with D2C set's in price and parts count, and we all know a 35% off a D2C would be a crazy good deal.
so yep, i am chuffed to bit's right now.

Found #70800 & #70801 on the "LEGO" shelf of my local WH Smith, price was "buy 1 get 1 half price" but they had priced the first one at £16.99 which made the second one £8.50 so the total for both sets worked out a little over Lego's RRP of £11.99 each.

No brag to be had on the price I paid but you don't see many sets that have been EOL for 6-7 months still on the shelf's of a major high street retailer.

#75110 Luke Skywalker [buildable figure] at a garage sale for $10. Only issue was a damaged box, but I was going to part it out anyway. Seller came down from $12.

I just picked up a complete (no instructions/box) Sydney Opera House 10234 for $50 in perfect condition once I cleaned all the dust off!

I'm debating between turning it into the Gekko from Eureka Seven or giving it to my mother for Mother's Day.

The large front windows are an excellent blueprint from which to design the cockpit, in white of course. The same part makes up the angled wings. I already had pretty much all the lime bricks I need for the belly of the aircraft. Just need to come up with the parts for the antennae, the flaps, the trans orange widows, and the cannons. Did you want to build one?

Found a UCS Yoda with instructions for $250 at a local Lego shop in Evansville, Indiana. Most of their sets were normal bricklink prices, so I wonder if they priced it incorrectly. Either way, he's mine!

Not necessarily a super great deal, but this past weekend my fiance and I found the Elves castle from last year for $64 at our local Walmarts.

My fiance immediately bought it and absolutely loved it.

Not quite the brag that some others have managed, but my local independent toy store was doing a 20% off Scooby Doo sets all this week plus for today only, 10% off the discounted price so picked up #75904 for £50.39.
They were also giving away a #850813 key chain when you spent over £20 and for some reason, the nice lady behind the till put 2 in the bag.

Not really sure if this qualifies... I bought my first modular today.  Some one had just returned the pet shop to my local lego store.  Kinda wanted the parisian restaurant, but I figured it was probably the last chance I'd get on the pet shop at a reasonable price.  Looks pretty cool too.

Recently went to Tesco and found 60118 for £9, in clearance, that was at the beginning of march and there was about 10 of them and I was thinking why are these in clearnce but I'll get one anyway and then saw the other day 40121 for £3.

I think I'm going to have to start checking clearance sections more often
