Nice, by the way.
P*ssed off, is what... Why?
Please can someone explain to me how on earth TLG are charging £74.99 for #21125 The Jungle Tree House, while it is only $69.99 in the US?
Now, it's bad enough that for so many sets we are charged on a £=$ basis, e.g. £/$19.99 for #21123, but to be charged MORE £ than $ for the same set just sticks in the throat!
I haven't had a reply back to my follow-up yet.
Does anyone have any examples of other sets that are or have been priced in this way (non-discounted or special offer)? e.g. UK price £74.99, US price $69.99
#21117 was also priced at $69.99, but the equivalent UK price was £59.99, implying that TLG are overcharging the UK by £15.00 on #21125, which is obscene.
Not a bad birthday haul from yesterday, celebrated starting the last year in my 30s with this lot. My daughter school friend came round for cake and got me the Speed Champions Audi R8 as well. Had a couple of days off work so I spent today sat on the floor watching films and building the R8 and the Ferry.
About to open TBBT set as well. Its going to be built, then pulled apart and rebuilt to form the first floor of a building in my modular street hopefully! Just need to find a suitable replacement for Penny's new hairdo
dose that make you speedman30 now?
we know that USA prices, dont have TAX added to them. so all USA prices are Before TAX.
we also know that all UK prices do have the TAX within there RRP price.
so what if the cost of the VAT added to the sets Before tax price. push's it in to the next price group?
Anyway, I'll stop here...
the #21117 set has more small parts,
small part = lass per part.
also, who to say the Licence for mind craft has not gone up?
now. i am not saying its right.
I am just as pissed off to see this type of crap as you are.
i just trying to play devil's advocate here.
We're being fleeced, pure and simple.
also waiting for my ninjago skybound and speed champions sets to arrive...
ditched the idea of buying green grocer or haunted house complete. gonna bricklink it over the period of 2 years circa. starting with sand green!
thinking of buying fortrex for my nephew. its on -25% on amazon.fr currently.
I have seen the price of the music box!!!
Take #60095 Exploration Vessel for example, £79.99, $119.99. That looks like we get a good deal, but actually I could have (and can still) get this set for 50% off at best and regularly 25% without even trying. What must be happening is the cost to the large suppliers is low enough that they can discount significantly. Whether this happened for this set in the US, I have no idea, but if it didn't man we got a good deal!
It is possible that although the RRP is a stupid £74.99, for whatever reason, it actually goes out to suppliers at a price more comparable to the US value and similar to a £59.99 set and we therefore see it at a good discount all the time in the UK.
Fingers crossed anyway.
good points there. :)
ware on earth are you seeing #60095 still at 50% off?
i seen it at the 20% and some time 25% off but not 50% off.
Got a BL order last night. I built the used set ASAP to confirm it was complete and in great shape, even though I had just started another set. Also put some parts I ordered in the models I intended them for.
whats the story behind the zombie skateboarder?
polybag, which set, toyfair giveaway ?
It was mine also on the 1st.
Ive finally got round to spending my birthday money this morning and decided to get the #75105.
