Hello,

I have recently (re)entered the world of Technic Lego. At 40yo I have recently become a new dad but suffer from PDD and have been advised that I need to take up a hobby that will hope focus my mind. After a lot of thinking I chose Lego as it will hopefully take me a while to build the models and I would have something at the end of it to be proud of.

Although at the moment its Technic I am interested in, I am sure that I will be drawn into the Themes (funds permitting!!)

Thanks

    Welcome.

I'm limiting my collecting to SW, but as an engineer and recent AFOL I have to say that the latest studless Technic looks fantastic. Good choice.

Welcome! I had a stressful job, and turned to Lego too as my 'escape'. Never looked back, and yes your funds will be stretched! Some great technic sets out there!

    Welcome to the forum.
There are a lot of great Technic sets to get your teeth into in all sorts of price brackets. I have a few of the larger sets and if finances allow I would heartily recommend the Mobile Crane Mk 2 (Set #42009).
It is a large set (2606 pieces) so should take a while to build, and as it doesn't come with numbered parts bags, sorting of parts will get you used to some of the different parts & gears involved with Technic builds, especially as it has a wide variety of them in this set.

Yeah I am looking forward to that one, although its going to be massive so not sure if I will have room (or the finances!!!)

It is a nice set, it has also been around a while so it is possible to pick it up for a reasonable amount if you don't mind waiting. (I think mine was for less than £100 in a Tesco sale a while back).
