I converted the mighty micro sets to bumper cars and that is this main feature for the bane car.

That wasn't a criticism.  That's an excellent MOC.
  • sweetness34sweetness34 Member Posts: 415
No worries, I didn't take it in a bad way. I'm kind of new to mocking. I'd call it more of modifying current sets to something I like.

Ive been mostly building sets as they come out and two worried about mixing up the pieces. Trying to get away from that a little.

almost done with the plan for my Palace Cinema MOC in LDD,
just the roof level left to go now.
i have finished the 2nd floor now. inside and out. i am quite please with how it looks.
i think if i tried to do it with real lego and not in LDD it would take 4 times longer as you have to pull off alot of bricks to get to a lower level.
still building this will take a lot of time as we all know the LDD auto how to build part of the program is hopelessly useless.
with my lego shop Mod i did. it would all ways start with the top of the model and worked its way down. did find a work around. remove all on the side building.
don't think that going to work this time. there a lot of on the side building in this.
    ah well.
    i should get some sleep.
  • SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,229
    ^ Nonsense.  Who needs sleep?

Try the DaVinci Sleep pattern (polyphasic sleep). Just make sure you can swim.

well could not get off to sleep.
    so worked on that Roof.
    it is done.
in all the model use's around 500 parts from the 2nd copy.
98% of the long bricks (1x6,1x8,1x10 etc etc.)
have a lot of small bricks left over.
even flat tiled the ground level inside.
i was hoping i have used more of the 2100 odd bricks in each set.
will now spend the next 2 weeks tweeking it

Building #75094 Shuttle Tydirium. Really enjoying the build and interesting how the designer stabilised the top fin so well, certainly an interesting build.

love that ship. here is a top Tip, NEVER pick it up by the top Fin.
when i do any Star wars display that the 1st ship to come out for display.
i hope you find it just as good as i do.

Just opened #41105 which I received from an Amazon seller yesterday. Looks fun and is a huge set by my standards. Gonna use some of my spare minidolls for more backing musicians (reminds me of #41100 not coming with a pilot), and plan to MOC a place for the audience.

@chrisalddin I've pulled multiple late nights working on cool projects, just can't do it too often, and even a few hours sleep is much better than a complete all nighter.

    just got done with #70601.
overall it is a Ok model,
    braking it down
The look of the model is cool.
i like the feel of the finished model. (the theme and color.)
the build was for me anyhow not as fun to do as some sets i have done in the past, like most of the nexo knights build are fun. i put it on part with the build of a £7.99 nexo set.
    just with more parts.
i had to realign parts over and over again. as a small tap to some parts would put them out of place.

maybe it just the point that most of my buy's are set's costing £24.99+ and i just not use to the £15 to 20 price range.

however for a set that i ended up paying only £2.01 for i am quite happy. (after rakuten points payed for most of it.) i payed £6.21 for 3 set's i view the 3 sets as 1 at £2.01 and 2 at £2.10.

is there a weak spot included at the top fin or why isnt it recommended? (not having this variant since i was lucky @ snagging the UCS one)

the model is heavy and parts of the top Fin are only held in by 1 line of studs,
it will hold long enough for you to lift it up high enough to have it drop quite away when it dose give out on you.

    just finished #60117
    it is Awesome!
love it, love it, love it.
anyone know them caravans that are 12 ft or 10 ft wide? the ones that dont move around used for holiday camps.
well as a kid when we when on holiday we would stay in that type of caravan. so i have great love for them.
building this model has made me wish to build a Moc of a 10 ft wide Caravan.
it will be a hard moc, never was good at starting from scratch. give me something i can change around, a already finish idea (like a lego set.) or a Finished code (PHPbb forum's and HTML come to mind.) and i mod them to the end of time.
starting with a blank page, / pile of bricks, and i have 500 time more trouble on my hands.
it going to take a lot of time to work out just how big it will need to be.
this Moc may never see real life building. but i will make it in LDD for a start.

ok so it not a Full size 10 ft. caravan but this is a sizeed up model set around the base of the Caravan in #60117. made in LDD. no insides.

do tell me what you think.

i think it is wide enough to be called a 10 ft but not anywhere close to long enough to be called a 10 ft Caravan.

and to give you a idea what a 10 ft wide Caravan looks like

I would love to pickup the UCS shuttle though I suspect it's way out of my price range now hence why I was pleased when this one was released. It's a great looking ship and an enjoyable build (but no, I still haven't finished it!)

@chrisalddin Noted! I'll be finding a space on the shelf for this one once it's done so it's out of reach for the kids!

I purchased the Set wit h Bane and Robin and find them to be very underwhelming, and the age 5-12 to me is misleading, should be should be 5-8 at best would go lower except for some small parts. Sets come with a couple of nice elements, that to me are new, but can't see buying more except to get those elements. The figure torso are OK, but than they mess it up with the legs all being kids legs even on Bane and other adult characters, I guess that's why they went with the name Mighty Micro and not the first name we had seen for these.
  • Rambo_BeyonceRambo_Beyonce Member Posts: 22
That's fair. I liked the fact that they are the shorter legs and have great new facial expressions that I hadn't seen before. Sure the little cars are very basic, but they do add a little flair to each figure and their personalities.

    It's a Friends day.

Finishing #41105 Pop Star Show Stage. Went through bag 1 a couple nights ago, 2 and 3 this afternoon.

Used spare minidolls to add more backing musicians, thinking about an arena. (I post total MOCs in the Builders Guild thread, customizations here.)

Was going to use #41087,#41088,#41089 (rabbit, dog, horse) as gifts. Going to build them myself to go with #41047 (seal).

Then #41103 Recording Studio and #41117 Pop Star TV Studio

I built #9470 Shelob Attacks last night and have just finished #9473 The Mines of Moria. I really love the Gimli minifig, it's absolutely fantastic. Boromir, Pippin and the orcs are really good as well, as is the troll, but I'm not much taken by Legolas, I'm afraid.
The set itself is a pretty impressive diorama and takes up quite a sizeable amount of space but, if I had one major criticism, it would be that it definitely needs the stickers, as it looks rather bland without them. I don't usually apply stickers, unless I have a backup set, but I'm going to have to go ahead and do so straight away, as it needs a little jazzing up.
  • FauchFauch Member Posts: 2,679
get helm's deep if you don't have it. and if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. it has a lot of texture with minimal use of stickers.

I promised myself that I'd only get a few LoTR / TH sets and Helm's Deep is a bit more than I'd like to spend on this theme, now that I've got my main wanted sets, especially as I'd have to get #9471 Uruk-Hai Army to go with it! It does look impressive though.

Last night I started on Green Grocer. Spent an hour just sorting parts and only got to page 20 of book 1. Hoping to have a bit more time this weekend to do a bit more. Just a bit frustrated with trying to identify the colours on the instructions. I wish they'd put a colour identification chart on it too for old blind people like me!

The littlest received a new Lego dinosaur this morning in the post which has gone to school for world book day!! I bet we have to do more Jurassic park tonight to make a raptor compound

It makes sense therefore that you wouldn't make big changes to it.

Thanks everyone, for having such concern over my LEGO wants and needs, it's most appreciated. ;-)

I have one LEGO Star Wars set on my realistic wishlist and that is a Millennium Falcon, but I have resisted getting one, as then I'd want an Imperial Shuttle, an AT-AT, an X-Wing, etc. etc. etc. Definitely not a #10179 though, much as any LEGO fan would love to own one. I think SWMBO would literally castrate me, if I ever spent that much on a set.

Sidetracking slightly, it is pernicious... I started with my old Classic Space sets and Minecraft. Then I got Benny's Spaceship, which led to more TLM sets. I had to get The Temple of Airjitsu, as it was beautiful and that led to a load more Ninjago sets, I got Santa's Workshop and that has led to a load more Seasonal sets, 1 modular led to getting all the current ones and now Bag End has grown into half a dozen other TH / LoTR sets. Where will it all end? Evil TLG...

No, no Star Wars... Not even a MF... I just can't.... ;-)

@JudgeChuck , I admire your restraint, I am unfortunately the other way round, have to have anything that comes out of Lucasville (via Disney) and have to resist buying other themes, although I have started to cave on the modular front and brought PC last month. :(

Edit: @MattsWhat , that's just mean, or really nice depending on your point of view.
