Ive been mostly building sets as they come out and two worried about mixing up the pieces. Trying to get away from that a little.
just the roof level left to go now.
i have finished the 2nd floor now. inside and out. i am quite please with how it looks.
i think if i tried to do it with real lego and not in LDD it would take 4 times longer as you have to pull off alot of bricks to get to a lower level.
still building this will take a lot of time as we all know the LDD auto how to build part of the program is hopelessly useless.
with my lego shop Mod i did. it would all ways start with the top of the model and worked its way down. did find a work around. remove all on the side building.
don't think that going to work this time. there a lot of on the side building in this.
ah well.
i should get some sleep.
Try the DaVinci Sleep pattern (polyphasic sleep). Just make sure you can swim.
so worked on that Roof.
it is done.
in all the model use's around 500 parts from the 2nd copy.
98% of the long bricks (1x6,1x8,1x10 etc etc.)
have a lot of small bricks left over.
even flat tiled the ground level inside.
i was hoping i have used more of the 2100 odd bricks in each set.
will now spend the next 2 weeks tweeking it
when i do any Star wars display that the 1st ship to come out for display.
i hope you find it just as good as i do.
@chrisalddin I've pulled multiple late nights working on cool projects, just can't do it too often, and even a few hours sleep is much better than a complete all nighter.
overall it is a Ok model,
braking it down
The look of the model is cool.
i like the feel of the finished model. (the theme and color.)
the build was for me anyhow not as fun to do as some sets i have done in the past, like most of the nexo knights build are fun. i put it on part with the build of a £7.99 nexo set.
just with more parts.
i had to realign parts over and over again. as a small tap to some parts would put them out of place.
maybe it just the point that most of my buy's are set's costing £24.99+ and i just not use to the £15 to 20 price range.
however for a set that i ended up paying only £2.01 for i am quite happy. (after rakuten points payed for most of it.) i payed £6.21 for 3 set's i view the 3 sets as 1 at £2.01 and 2 at £2.10.
it will hold long enough for you to lift it up high enough to have it drop quite away when it dose give out on you.
it is Awesome!
love it, love it, love it.
anyone know them caravans that are 12 ft or 10 ft wide? the ones that dont move around used for holiday camps.
well as a kid when we when on holiday we would stay in that type of caravan. so i have great love for them.
building this model has made me wish to build a Moc of a 10 ft wide Caravan.
it will be a hard moc, never was good at starting from scratch. give me something i can change around, a already finish idea (like a lego set.) or a Finished code (PHPbb forum's and HTML come to mind.) and i mod them to the end of time.
starting with a blank page, / pile of bricks, and i have 500 time more trouble on my hands.
it going to take a lot of time to work out just how big it will need to be.
this Moc may never see real life building. but i will make it in LDD for a start.
ok so it not a Full size 10 ft. caravan but this is a sizeed up model set around the base of the Caravan in #60117. made in LDD. no insides.
do tell me what you think.
i think it is wide enough to be called a 10 ft but not anywhere close to long enough to be called a 10 ft Caravan.
and to give you a idea what a 10 ft wide Caravan looks like

@chrisalddin Noted! I'll be finding a space on the shelf for this one once it's done so it's out of reach for the kids!
Finishing #41105 Pop Star Show Stage. Went through bag 1 a couple nights ago, 2 and 3 this afternoon.
Used spare minidolls to add more backing musicians, thinking about an arena. (I post total MOCs in the Builders Guild thread, customizations here.)
Was going to use #41087,#41088,#41089 (rabbit, dog, horse) as gifts. Going to build them myself to go with #41047 (seal).
Then #41103 Recording Studio and #41117 Pop Star TV Studio
The set itself is a pretty impressive diorama and takes up quite a sizeable amount of space but, if I had one major criticism, it would be that it definitely needs the stickers, as it looks rather bland without them. I don't usually apply stickers, unless I have a backup set, but I'm going to have to go ahead and do so straight away, as it needs a little jazzing up.
The littlest received a new Lego dinosaur this morning in the post which has gone to school for world book day!! I bet we have to do more Jurassic park tonight to make a raptor compound
Fortunately, I am still keeping to my self-promise of "No Star Wars... Ever"... That would kill me.
It makes sense therefore that you wouldn't make big changes to it.
I responded to try to get @JudgeChuck to click on the #10179 link out of interest, see the awesomeness and then have to own it. You know, ruin his life essentially.
I have one LEGO Star Wars set on my realistic wishlist and that is a Millennium Falcon, but I have resisted getting one, as then I'd want an Imperial Shuttle, an AT-AT, an X-Wing, etc. etc. etc. Definitely not a #10179 though, much as any LEGO fan would love to own one. I think SWMBO would literally castrate me, if I ever spent that much on a set.
Sidetracking slightly, it is pernicious... I started with my old Classic Space sets and Minecraft. Then I got Benny's Spaceship, which led to more TLM sets. I had to get The Temple of Airjitsu, as it was beautiful and that led to a load more Ninjago sets, I got Santa's Workshop and that has led to a load more Seasonal sets, 1 modular led to getting all the current ones and now Bag End has grown into half a dozen other TH / LoTR sets. Where will it all end? Evil TLG...
No, no Star Wars... Not even a MF... I just can't.... ;-)
(oh, actually I have you address... why wait, anonymous benefactor it is!)
Edit: @MattsWhat , that's just mean, or really nice depending on your point of view.
