Bit of help with valuing some bits to be sold for Fairy Bricks. Mainly technic/space

Hello all,

I am making my way through a load of bulk donated to Fairy Bricks, some has sold, some is listed on ebay and the rest I am trying to value. See here: http://bricksetforum.com/discussion/22778/on-behalf-of-fairy-bricks-pre-loved-sets-for-sale-ww-postage-space-technic-ferrari-more#latest

I am currently trying to price the contents of 4 Technic 36x48 Storage Crates. I dont know where to start with regards to putting a value to it. It'd be nice if they went to a forum member to be played with and appreciated and with them having quite a bit of interest I am also hoping to get some decent money for the FB kitty.

There are four pictures below so Id appreciate any opinions as to the value or if anyone is able to pick out any rare pieces.

This also serves as a bump for the main thread and highlights it for those of you who may not have seen it!!

You probably ought to pull out the classic space guys and sell them as a lot(s) on eBay. They look in pretty good condition. You seem to have three red and two white, plus another white helmet. Is there another one buried? If going to eBay, maybe pair one red and one white an auction them as a pair.

There is four red, three white and three Exploriens Spacemen so they're a pretty easy sell. Appreciate the input...

Looks like there are several 9V motors in there as well as light and sound pieces. They should be an easy sell also.  The rest pretty much looks like common pieces. If you sold the Technic parts as a lot that should sell well also.

Are these some kind of branded technic cases or just generic hobby ones stuffed full of technic bits?

I'm just getting into Mindstorms/technic so I'd be interested in the top case plus a couple of te other cases but with all the animals/vehicles/minifigs/9v motors/Brick separators/foilage/fences etc taken out and Technic bits put in. In fact of case two it's only the track i'd want.
Any idea what you want for them?

The blue space "tails" in the top right of your first pic can fetch a bit in quantity - I can't see how many you have, but ca. £1.50 each.  The white ones not worth much!

There might be a few more individual items of rarer classic space parts (like the trans yellow, although 6x8s not the rarest again ca. £1.50 each).

But difficult to see and depends on how much you want to "part out" the whole lot - leaving something of value in it might increase interest in the bulk.

The 1x6 classic space brick with the floating astronaut is actually pretty valuable. There are only 12 on BL and the lowest is at $15.

That piece was only available in 3 Space Command Center variants and one parts pack. The bins do contain other parts from the Space Command Centers like the blue tails @luckyruss mentioned as well as the large 8x8 dish, the 6x8 trans yellow plates used on the roof and the blue 2x2 slope with the computer pattern. It might be worth a look to see if there is a 926 or 493 Space Command Center mixed in the parts.

Appreciate all of the info people.

@sirrich69 pointed out quite a lot of bits yesterday and I think that most of #926 and #928 are present. Ill be attempting to put together these sets and any others I see but if anyone notices anything else, feel free to point them out.
