i will miss the days of no rent.
i still live at home. (if i am honest with my self i could not look after my self living by my self.)
but in the last years the bank of mom and dad, payed of my credit card. (the card was all ready closed i was just slowly paying it off. an interest rate jump had me closing the card then paying them more.) so i been paying back the bank of mum and dad with no interest on the money i still own them. but i have been told that when i have payed back all the money. i will then have to pay rent.
witch i am not over the moon about. paying them back is one thing.
    Rant is a another.

Insane deal! MSRP is $150+. Would be a steal just for #41015 and a very good deal on #3184.

@chrisalddin - yes, no other car expenses either. not getting a LEGO Store? au contraire! There's one 17 miles from me. That's towards the far end of my bike range, but possible when the weather gets better.

@chrisalddin @brumey I'm also living with my parents. Indeed, it's a cheap arrangement, including financing terms. :)

Picked up #70413 Brick Bounty at 20% off from a local department store still trying to clear out Christmas stock. Also picked up #75050 B-Wing and #76039 Ant-Man at 20% off. This was my best haul ever. Debating going back to get #60051 High Speed Train for the same discount, and maybe another B-Wing.

Ok, to update my previous post, I picked up:

    3 Brick Bountys
    3 B-Wings
    4 Ant-Man Final Battle
    1 #60086 City Starter

Their store inventory also showed an AT-AT in stock but they could not find it. That's a pretty big box to lose. Decided to pass on the High Speed Train because the reviews were terrible, and frankly I don't have the space for a train setup.

Found an empty #21034 Doctor Who box in a recycle bin. Can't beat the price. Put it on BL for a couple bucks. It's sturdy for a LEGO box and I may end up using it myself.

    My kids are excited:

Found the #60080 Spaceport at the $59 Walmart clearance price.  They actually had four in stock in the clearance aisle, so hopefully three future buyers will get lucky too.

But even better: Buried behind those four boxes was one box of #21118 The Mine, at a clearance price of $45!

This was probably my best Walmart score since finding Cargo Terminal #60022 a year ago for the unbelievable 75% additional off clearance price of $80, so I paid only $20 at the same Walmart.

I'm going to brag on behalf of the person who nabbed multiple Friends sets (including Heartlake Shopping Mall, Vet Clinic and Summer Caravan) for €50 on DoneDeal.ie.

Due to feeling guilty for already breaking the Lego budget this month (1 week in) this person was not me.

Because I was so sad at missing out I decided to treat myself to 2 polybags - #30210 LOTR Frodo Cooking Corner and #30091 Pharaohs Quest Desert Rover for €5 each....so yeah that whole budget thing....not really working out is it

Picked up a sack of Duplo for my boy which had a few bits of random Lego in it. The best bit being a London 2012 CMF, she has no hair though.

Also picked up some fresh looking Fabuland stuff too, a couple of sets and some figures and props.

    Duplo sack = £5
    Fabuland stuff = £2.75p

    Charity shopping is fun.

While this was no sale or great deal, I would consider this a great find. I ended up picking the pen as I found it exceptionally cool.

This small stand was at the check out of my local Barnes and Nobel.

I was glad to get 41092 for $6.50, about 4 and a half pounds. Yeah, it's not much compared to the high rollers on the forum.

cheap CMF's are always good, since my main problem with them is the high MSRP. Two pounds is about $3, and then you get a further discount. Nice.

    PS
#70753 at Walgreens for $5.39 (their list price is $8.99, MSRP is $7.99)

Picked up this set 2 weeks before it came out! :D I can't wait to go build it! If anyone else wants to try there was one more... finders keepers I guess.

^ does this sort of pricing happen at TRU on purpose, or is somebody screwing up? The local TRU would add a few miles to my weekly LEGO hunting expedition, but deals like that would make it worthwhile even if they only hit occasionally.

The magnet was a penny because it was a "gift with purchase". I have bought them for a penny before. The others I think were found during inventory and the price had been adjusted for clearance. Yesterday we found three more Flower Stands at a different TRU for the same price of 98 cents each. This was the first time I have ever seen mainstream polys at TRU get that low in price.

My friend was cleaning out his legos and selling them all, sadly, because he isn't much into them anymore. Anyways, he gave me a Greedo minifigure from 4501-1: Mos Eisley Cantina :D :D I looked it up and he's worth over 50 dollars in good condition. Mine is near mint :D

Not to be a killjoy, but he's really only worth ~$25 on a good day.

Stores that are run with any efficiency are supposed to pull those items off the shelves once they are reduced to the $0.01 and $0.03 clearance amount.  This is true for non-Lego product as well.

I've occassionally found them in my area, but it's few and far between.  (I'm waiting on my local TRU that has 1000 Dareth polybags on 'clearance' for $3.98 to finally mark them down further.)

A friend works for a company deals in stationary supplies and a load of Lego polys mistakenly turned(2 tonne) so they shared them out with the employees. This was back last July.

To give an idea of contents i purchased this lot for £20 for 48 polys from the same person so i presume they are roughly same polys.

Managed to score another used 10233 with a massive box of assorted tracks and points which coincided with a nice trade. Traded a sealed 10937 (which from memory I got for 40% off RRP a while back for a used complete 3677 Red Cargo Train and a sealed 60051.  When all was said and done, I calculated all the track from the 2 sets and the big box I bought at bricklink average prices and ended up paying a grand total of less than $7.00 for all three trains (two with all PF) and trackside accessories. Pretty chuffed about that!
