Been to 20 + Walmarts and haven't seen any of them restock.

Found one goldmine of stuff today but "everything" was regular price except for the $10 HP sets for $5.40. Even the Freeco Speeders were full price.

Cracks me up that employees at Walmart never bat an eye when you walk out with shopping carts full of Lego. Its such common place.

This might have been mentioned, but at least two Walmarts here (socal) have the Star Wars calendars for 9.90 or 75% off. I assume they're including them in the Christmas markdowns.

No surprise, I see piles of them everywhere.

True. It's sort of funny when Target still has them at 27.90. For 10 bucks I'll tuck one away for my son for when he's old enough in a couple of years - and by then my daughter will have forgotten that she had one this year!

My Walmart still has the Star Wars calendars at 50% off, I was hoping they would have gone down farther by now.

Just had to check again, but alas the polybag wreaths and snowmen (and Ninjago) are still ringing up at full price. (sigh)

^ridiculous, isn't it?!? I talked to the manager at one and she gave them to me at 50% off, but at another two, it was no go.

Maybe they will reduce those polys when the V-day ones hit?
  • scratchdeskscratchdesk Member Posts: 155
I can't ever seem to find polys anywhere in walmart. Where do your stores usually put them? Randomly I'll find one somewhere mixed in the toys but in general zilch.
  • bor2112bor2112 Member Posts: 321
Two of the stores had them just in cardboard boxes in the Lego aisle (same way they house CMFs) The other had them in the red stocking stuffer boxes and that is the store that was willing to go 50% off.
  • pcironepcirone Member Posts: 346
I've never seen them either, they must be next to the unicorns.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
They don't stock them the same as Target. Have only seen them rarely in some stores in cardboard boxes in the Lego isle.

Only found one Walmart with them discounted and they only had 3 left :(
  • avoiceoreasonavoiceoreason Member Posts: 224
The two I found them at did also had them in the red stocking stuffer boxes yet they were both still unwilling to discount them. So YMMV on whether you can find them or get a discount.
  • scratchdeskscratchdesk Member Posts: 155
Not that it is likely the norm but one of the WalMart stores I frequent put out a bunch of "new" inventory last night/ this morning. Including Bionicle, and old star wars sets like 8019 and 8037. Needless to say I bought what I could find but one of the reps said they are pushing an inventory cleaning clearance and getting all the stuff "out of the back" of the store. And best of all, it was all 75% off.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
Hmmm, I come across some really old sets sometimes that weren't there before. They don't scan and then when someone inputs them into inventory they are full price.
  • scratchdeskscratchdesk Member Posts: 155
I think it depends on what state they are in the system/ store to store trends. If the set was either A) never discounted/ clearanced B) clearanced a long long time ago it may scan at full price, just my speculation. In my experience some sets may still be in the system as clearanced but just never made it to the floor. I did see some Bionicle sets that were not discounted which I wasn't interested in. Also saw an old Indy set (2009) that had long been retired but rang up at full price. In the end just scan them all.

Was at a few more stores today, one store has a power miners set!!! lol It rang up full price and they wouldn't take anything off of it for me, and they were long since sold out but the SW Falcon 7965 was marked down to $99! It was only one store, had there been any there I would have cleared the shelf but they have been sold out since before Christmas at that store, not sure why they even still had a shelf tag, let alone a clearance price on it. Nothing else new in any of the stores, all in all I hit 4 walmarts and 3 targets today.
  • intromissionintromission Member Posts: 197
Went to 2 Walmarts looking for the rumored Whitecap Bay at 50% off. Both rang up at full price. Did however find a HP Burrow which I was really happy about considering that I have never seen it in my area period. One random box. Additional 10% was negotiated for box damage.

Found one of those Space Police sets but it rang up around $49. Two of those creator Polybags rang up at $3.49?
  • scratchdeskscratchdesk Member Posts: 155
From what I've been seeing at the Wal-Marts near me is that the non"super" Wal-Marts seem to more often have the random other set price drops (3 out of 6 or 7). While the Super Wal-Marts have not randomly discounted various sets. Curious what others have found.

I went to a different Wal-Mart in northern Indiana. Their Lego stock is very low. It is so low that they were using the Lego shelves for other non-Lego items. This store did not have many of the new sets left. Most of their Lego clearance was gone. What I couldn't figure out was where all the SW landspeeders went. Anyway, I did see two ancient (looking), beaten up large Bionicle sets each at about $75. Several Hogwarts Castles at $99.
  • malachirobertsonmalachirobertson Member Posts: 268
One thing that I am wondering about is what this Wal-Mart that I went to today is going to do with the several boxes of series 5 CMF that they have left.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ How northern is that northern Indiana Wal-Mart? I'm still looking for a discounted Hogwarts Castle.
  • malachirobertsonmalachirobertson Member Posts: 268
Do you want to make the long drive to South Bend? I would visit your area more if the drive wasn't so long.

Yeah, that would be a sucky drive. 3 hours along US-31.

I've seen hogwarts at a few locations around Chicagoland locations. Ringing up at $99 though.
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I haven't found any hogwarts castle's discounted, been looking for one as I don't have it, but just don't want to pay the $130 for it, I have cleaned out any clearance around here, I've been to 12 Walmarts and 9 Targets over the last 2 weeks, so not really anything left for me here lol
  • scratchdeskscratchdesk Member Posts: 155
Cool. None of the stores had a hogwarts castle last week. But they keep finding stuff/ returns popping up.
  • herekittykittyherekittykitty Member Posts: 122
No one here seems to have Hogwarts in stock, other than my closest Target where it's full price. All the Walmart are cleaned out still, other than some random star wars and city stuff. I would love one at half off, haha.

When do stores typically restock again after Christmas, surely the clearances can't keep going for that much longer?
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
I suspect that my walmart has a full stock room of new stock, but they are ALWAYS slow at putting things out, right now they are focused on doing those clearance isles, which in Pittsburgh, PA anyway last for a really long time, we usually have 2 clearance isles all year long, but this after christmas stuff usually lasts for 2 months or more at my local store, all the good stuff is of course gone, but the crap continues to sit on the shelves until its gone, and they never go past 50% here
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
Wallmart still seems to be dropping random prices. Picked up Whitecap Bay today for $30. General Grievous had previously been $35 but picked one up today for $30.
  • darktremeredarktremere Member Posts: 42
My Walmart still has Whitecap Bay for $59.

    Same here. Bummer.
  • DavidBrickleyDavidBrickley Member Posts: 369
No "new" discounts that folks have been finding, but my local wmt apparently found a case of Rise of the Sphinx in the back, as they have only had one in a crushed box for the last few days.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
Just came back from my Walmart in L.A. and picked up these:

    8095: General Grievous = $12 (76% off)
    4194: Whitecap Bay = $30 (62.5% off)
    5770: Lighthouse = $15 (62.5% off)

Also saw the Marina for $35 (30% off) and AC Copter for $30 (25% off) but did not pick either up.
  • darktremeredarktremere Member Posts: 42
Congrats, I hope my Walmart goes down to those prices soon. I saw a couple boxes of Hogwarts for $99 at a nearby Walmart, they also had some Space Police sets, they were listed at full price though.

2 weeks ago I got the Rise of the Sphinx at my Walmart for $10.00... Definately my best score of the after Christmas rush...!
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
@kotton: sometimes I feel Walmart makes an error on pricing. Similar to you, I picked up a Hogwarts for $10 (80% off). Box was perfectly fine, so think it might have been a mistake.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
@BrickDancer Which Walmart? I hit every one from about the 605 to San Diego. Did they have more or did you clean them out? Silly question I suppose :P
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
The one on 190th by 405. I have too many Whitecaps now, so I'll be returning one tomorrow afternoon. At least they'll have 1 in stock for you =)
  • OdinduskOdindusk Member Posts: 763
^ you mean in two weeks when they finally get around to putting it back on the shelf.

    =P

I hit the jackpot again last night! Went to a very out of the way walmart and also a fairly new store, I got

3 Hogwarts 30% (no castles in stock though :(
    4 Hargrid's Hud 50%
    9 Quiddich Match 50%
    6 Freeing Doby 50%
    6 Lighthouse Cove 50%
    3 Burrows 50%
    1 City Police Station 30%
    3 Grevious SF 30%
2 Big Bently Bust out 50%

And I still left stuff on the shelves!!!!!

    Great deals...

I ran errands to WMT this morning and they still had a dozen HP 4736 sets (I grabbed four) and a bunch of Ninjago sets (I grabbed some spinners and a couple other N sets). All were 50% off. I did check the PotC and other HP sets, but everything was still full price (with nothing moving).

They had boxes and boxes of Series 5 CMFs, but they were all still full price. It will be next Christmas before those are all gone based on the price and the very slow movement of Legos in this particular store.

Just a little insight into Walmarts clearance practice I guess: 2 stores were showing stock numbers of 3 and 7 of 7187. My son and I have been enjoying the Kings Castle since after Christmas and we bolstered our archers by 9 after the Target .39 Polybags, but being that our dragon knights are seriously outnumbered (we have 1 of 7187 and 1 of 7947) we thought maybe some of the Walmarts would still have the sets at 50% and then we'd be able to make something happen. Well, after poking around in both stores knowing the stock numbers I asked employees at both stores and they said they showed up as "deleted" on their scanners which would mean they were "in the back" in boxes or "binned." Nobody really seemed willing to check on it so I gave up.
    Ha! Oh well.

I went back to the Niles, MI Wal-mart on Friday to see if there were any changes in price. I didn't notice any in particular. They have lots of Freeco Speeders, but I saw nothing to let people know about the discount. Like another Wal-mart, they found some old large, beaten up Bionicle sets. I think three for about $60 each. The Galactic Explorer was there still for $100. They were starting to put out more of the new stuff into the actual Lego section. It wasn't clear if this Wal-mart had the Hogwarts Castle on discount. I was short on time and didn't scan it.

I saw a Spongebob's Good Neighbor house for $20.70 but passed.

My local Wal-Mart had the Podracers set at 30% off, some red boxed Ninjago stuff at 50% and the Star Wars Advent Calendar at 50%. I passed on all of these. Photos:

oh @brickupdate, I have been praying to find the Podracers set for 30% off but I've been to at least 12 Walmarts and none of them have had those on sale!

@BrickDancer $15 for the 5770 Lighthouse is an amazing deal!

Just wanted to let everyone know that there are definitely still deals to be had out there. I hit a local Wal-Mart that is a bit out of the way this morning and found quite a few good clearance sets, including Rebel Trooper battlepacks, Snowtrooper battlepacks, Hoth Wampa, and a Droid Tri-Fighter.

This store also had a bunch of newer sets on what I guess is an overstock discount of 30%, including Podracers, Bounty Hunter Gunship, Genosian Starfighter, and Sith Infiltrator.

They had two Hogwart's sets in the clearance aisle at the discounted price of $49.00. The discount sticker said that the original price was "$14.86," but the manager wouldn't sell at that price.

Hit two other stores, but didn't find anything noteworthy.

I've seen the Pod Racers at a few stores for $64. (only walmarts that had them at this price were non-"Super" stoes) All stores in my area today are clearing shelves in perpetration for the replenishment coming today/ this week. I have yet to see any store in my area process a second set of price drops. That's what I'm really hoping for.
