Does such a tool exist (find a set from a part list) ?

DawnDawn GoldMember Posts: 247

I am familiar and comfortable using BrickLink, Rebrickable, Brickstock, etc but I can't get them to do what I am looking for, not sure of they do what I am looking for or if it would be another tool or I am just out of luck.

I would like from a part list (could be just a few parts) to find out what existing sets have all those parts and it would be a bonus, if it can actually give me a combination of sets if there is no single sets with all the parts.

Thanks for any help you could provide.

Yes, it exists in Bricklink. It's called 'view item appearance'.

Thanks @dutchlegofan50 , it is a good start.
Would be nice if we could filter with color and quantity, I may have to look at BL Catalog API and write something :)

Thanks for the link! I've been using multiple searches on Brickset and narrowing things down, this tool looks like it should be a big help identifying partially built sets in "the pile".
