The Stormtrooper TR-8R is a total Bad Ass. I now have more reason to buy #75139.

I had a question about #8088 ARC-170 Starfighter, is this really a clone wars set? The minifigs have normal eyes, R4-P44 is from episode 3, Captain Jag is from episode 3 and nether were in clone wars (might be wrong about this as never watch it). The ARC-170 Starfighter and Kit Fisto are from both. But given the normal eyes and R4-P44 and Captain Jag I think this is an episode 3 set.

^ In my opinion it's an Episode III set, also because ARC-170 appears very few times in TCW and because that kind of clone pilot can only be seen in Episode III.

However, have you guys read new sets going to be released this summer? I also found out that prices of unnamed sets have appeared on Brickset.com!

I still need to get both the Tie and new X-Wing at a discount and the SW Battlefront BP that are still not available in the US ( along with the small Hoth set).
I have so far heard of Captain Rex AT-TE and a Clone Turbo Tank, but I am saving my cash for the supposed SW Hoth Echo Base UCS also, I heard that Marvel is getting a Ghost Rider set in Lego format and that the summer City sets include a Gas Statation (which is useful for any City) and a Volcano research sub theme. Here is my source: http://brickset.com/article/18566/summer-2016-set-lists-discovered

@SMC #8088 is mis-tagged and should indeed be an Ep. III set. Another one that is also mis-tagged as Clone Wars is the Republic Swampspeeder with Barriss Offee, which should b Ep. III as well.

Thanks all what about #7915 Did we not see an Imperial V-wing at the end of episode 3?

  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
#7915 is Extended Universe while #75039 and #6205 are Ep. III due to the color scheme.

Has anyone seen 75103, First Order Transporter on sale or clearance anywhere yet?  I've seen other TFA sets on clearance already such as kylo ren's shuttle and the millennium falcon, but not the transporter.  I'd really like to pick this set up but cannot bring myself to spend $90 on it.  Would love to find it on sale or discount, though.

Am I the only person sad that they haven't sets based on KOTOR yet? I know they made some for SWTOR but I'd love to have a Carth, Mission and Bastilla minifigure along with the ebon hawk.

Check Walmart. According to the app, a Walmart near me has them for $64, so I'm going to head over there in the next few days and check it out.

Ever since toywiz sold crap started showing up on Walmart.com and their mobile app- it's darn near impossible to check sale stock at stores.  For whatever reason, it always defaults to toywiz as a seller and you have to fumble around to switch to Walmart before being able to check stock/price status with Walmart. I can't understand how Walmart can let a 3rd party seller show up first on it's on page/application (lots of $$$ obviously).

Any thoughts on why Tesco Direct are titling #75139 Battle of Takodana as Hall of Mirrors, just an error?

Did you have any luck with this?  I found the same price (64) supposedly at a store about 35 minutes away.  I'm hesitant to make the trip though.

Discuss this - real or fake? 442 is a piece count they use a lot on prelim boxes

Thanks for posting, could be real as we will be getting a set like that.
  • playwellplaywell Member Posts: 2,304
BTW if you want people to comment on the bricksetforum its no good just posting a picture of a set we haven't seen before from the hottest franchise around you also have to mention the Lego sausage, as there doesn't seem to be one in this set there wont be much interest.

What are the minifigs for that set? I don't think the droid is BB-8, because of the length of the name in the left corner.. There's obviously the flame thrower first order trooper, but who will the other two be?
  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 886
it should have more pieces though, cause poe's x-wing is the same build..
  • MrJ_NYMrJ_NY Member Posts: 592
@paul88 @matticus_bricks I picked up a 75103  for $64.00 at a Walmart that didn't even show it in stock. The other 3-4 stores in my area have it at full price.
  • hmnicollhmnicoll Member Posts: 65
I think the minifigs could be jacket Poe and Lor San Tekka but judging by that and the background on the box I reckon that will be BB-8 which is a bit of a shame.
  • monkey_roomonkey_roo Member Posts: 1,411
My guess is, that is BB-8 and this is the X-wing that gets a good kicking at the start of the film so I would say Poe, BB-8, Lor San Tekka and 1st Order trooper with flame thrower. The X-Wing is a lot shorter than The one Poe uses later in the film so I would expect a smaller piece count.

if it is that one, then I hope we get the undercarriage gun as a play feature.

Hey everyone, I'm new here and have been collecting LEGO for about 8 years.

Thanks for all the pictures! I would assume that those two other ships are from Rogue One because if they were from preexisting material I think we would know what they are (unless the source is incorrect).
A big question I have is what would make this new Turbo Tank better than the previous one from 2010? I feel like that version is flawless, but from the looks of things this new one has the lookout tower from the 2005 version. Are you guys planning on getting the new one if you already have the 2010 version?

From what is stated at eurobricks and cantina.starwars.net  75150 a-wing vs tie advanced will include certainly darth vader (see lightsaber and darker attire) and more or less likely Ezra, Sabine, Ashoka or Kanan since this set links to star wars rebels season two. Not sure who exactly are the other 3 characters.
Or do you guys know more?

The hair makes me think that the other Jedi in the Turbo Tank is Quinlan Vos. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/2/2d/Quinlanvosdeath.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150801033636
  • monkey_roomonkey_roo Member Posts: 1,411

I was thinking more Luminara and Barriss Offee?

Quinlan Vos would be a great figure, but i don't recall him ever appearing in the Clone Wars alongside that vechicle and since all EU cannon has been reset I don't see him getting a look in? This figure from back in 2011 could do with an update (the hair was nothing like his).

  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 886
definitely not Barriss Offee, because she always wears a hood, like her master... Quinlan Vos was the only one that came to mind also.. With the vader's tie, the second minifig is definitely Sabine (again) and I guess the third one is a normal A-wing pilot and the fourth is an imperial officer..
  • wardmwardm Member Posts: 886
I'm very curious about the two unknown sets...
  • CircleKCircleK Member Posts: 1,055
I have you now Tie Advanced! I'm also pretty happy about the Resistance x-wing b/c I wasn't believing the rumors for this one.  I'm still a little shocked they would have two x-wings on the shelf at once. I was getting ready to bricklink a color swap for Poe's x-wing, but I will just patiently wait till the summer release now.

I was finally able to check today and my closest Walmart was a total mess. They didn't have a single First Order Transporter or Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (which Brickseek said they had at $74).  Aside from a handful of new sets, all they had was a beat up Jokerland that had obviously been tampered with, and a $30 First Order Snowspeeder. I left empty handed.

I just realised how much the Jango Fett minifigure has gone up in the past few months. Wow.

Any external reason for this, or just dwindling numbers for sale?

  • INDYJONASINDYJONAS Member Posts: 33
Although not totally accurate in regards of scaling, I like how they included an apparently UCS sized tie-fighter for the buildable action figures of the new wav. It added a nice backdrop for the action:)

Does anyone know if all parts are glued on the #851317 Boba Fett magnet ? (The latest version where it's sold as a single figure on a magnetic backplate).
I realise it's glued to the backplate but are the helmet/head/cape removable ?

From what I remember, the helmet is removable, the rangefinder comes off (mine did and I still have not found it) and the gun is removable (i know this as it shoots across the room every time I have caught the figure when going in the fridge) but I am fairly sure that the legs and head are stuck on.
Also it is not so much stuck to the back plate as pinned. There is a small metal  rod connecting the 2 together.

So I still can't figure out why #75125 isn't available in the US yet? Is this a common practice? I see that it's available in Europe (and goons are selling it for crazy inflates prices on eBay and Amazon US).

Anyone have any info on this? I saw it on TRU's website (listed as Sold Out right now)

is the set so popular in Europe they don't have enough to ship to the US yet? (I'm sure that's not how it works, I just am trying to figure it out...)

    <<Update to my previous comment>>

I got the following from Lego Cust Service after asking when I would be able to purchase #75125:

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Currently we do not have in infomration on when that set will be available for purchase in the U.S. However we are going to be getting more infomration in Frebuary, so please get back in touch with us by then.

I'd rather wait until Feb than get screwed over by eBay scalpers.....

Update on this, the head can also be removed but the backpack cannot as the metal pin goes through the backpack into the body. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know the likely release date for #75144?
It's standard that a flagship Star Wars set gets released every year for May the Fourth.  Whether that will be #75144 or #75098 is unknown as far as I've heard, but I think the latter seems more likely given that we already have a price at least.  And it's a lower number, so maybe that means something too?

The other one would likely be a later summer or early fall release

Oh wow, Rebels is getting darker and deeper in substance for this Season 2.2. I was already impressed with the improvements and growth for the first part of this season compared to Season 1. But this is going to a new level. Sorta feels like the improvement Clone Wars saw when they started into Season 3. And Leia makes her appearance!!

Very excited to see Ashoka meet Anakin again and explaining their history together to Ezra. Some of Kanaan's backstory is starting to be shown. And Sabine is looking better and better. Zeb and Hera need more to catch up with the rest of the crew.

But early criticism would be the voices of Vader, Yoda and Leia. A bit light and stiff compared to the real deals. And Vader's saber looks so skinny compared to the movie versions.
