Still no room so I had to put the snowspeeder somewhere.
Baronsat's hoth echo base, fun build so far
to see a speed build look up "chrisalddin House of Lego" on youtube
it will be in 4 parts, part one is posted.
Hoth is an ice planet, surely it's just a normal village ;)
I thought that it would be an abandoned project due to the set close to sold out, but catching my eye, I decided to purchase the set after getting out of work. Thank goodness I completed the building of the set before it was sold out.
in all toke me 2 days 4 hours each day, this is not counting the time used to setup or record video for the speed build,
i can see why other turn making speed build videos in to a job, editing them takes a lot of time,
watch out on my youtube channel for the 2nd 3rd and 4th parts of the build over the next week or so. just look up "chrisalddin" on youtube and you will find me.
Were they any more accurate with the spearguns?

What, no gloves to stop finger prints on those lovely chrome pieces. Now that's trust.
One feels that he may have started down a dark path that will forever dominate his destiny, to quote the little green guy.
Suggestions are welcome :)
76044 Clash of Heroes
75131 Resistance Battle Pack
75132 First Order Battle Pack
I picked up 2 First Order packs because my kids can't get enough stormtroopers. I'm thinking of modding the cannon which is just a stud shooter and turning it into a set of turbo lasers.
Joking aside, the problem is with its feet. The joints between its heel and front of the foot aren't staggered and where the axle poking up from the base extends into the bottom of the feet to prevent the legs spreading, if the the alien's head so much as moves 10mm forward or backward (which isn't a lot given its height), the axle prises the foot apart and BAM, you have no more alien. It would be nice to find a way of incorporating at least one staggered joint or a corner brick that wraps around the back of the foot without losing the detail or possibly more studs to provide more clutch. I can see one area to bring in an extra stud but I don't think it will make much of a difference. My friend suggested Kragle to me last night, just on its heels but I just can't bring myself to do it.
