so i was over at my local hospital the other day (for you know "reasons") and there was a Toy Sale, no idea what for, any how found 3 lego sets there,
the 1st one Star Wars Buildable Figure, 75111: Darth Vader.
the 2nd was Chima, 70123: Lion Legend Beast.
and the last one was Ninjago, 70741: Airjitzu Cole Flyer.
i picked up all 3 sets for £5 each. that right i got the £24.99 Darth Vader Buildable Figure for £5, yes i was shocked to. but that is what i was told the price was. it made up for being in the Hospital. Cole Flyer is still a round in shops but in the UK Lion Legend Beast is not. and now sells for £25 and up on Amazon marketplace. seeing as its RRP was £7.99 when it 1st come out that is a big jump. so picking all 3 up for £5 each, (£15 in all) made my day.

as i said before, i know people are going to hate me for that type of saving. but i also had to share it with others.
(Someone just have cleared out the back stock room over the weekend?)
i hate you!
that is crazy!
1. Only 1 picture, which showed very little other a big sack of lego BUT did include the box for the Fire Temple which would have probably been a good price in itself. Non of the other box's or instructions were shown in the picture
2. This was local collection only and was a 4hr round trip for me. So be prepared to travel. While this takes a lot of time, and could be costly in fuel, its zero cost for me as I have company car with fuel paid.
3. I got lucky with communications - I contacted seller to enquire if they knew what sets were likely included and they sent me a pretty extensive list, which gave me a good idea of what I was bidding on. I'm pretty sure most sellers would not have been so detailed.
4. When I arrived to collect the very nice lady said she had found some more boxes which she threw in :) i.e. #9470 was never mentioned and turned out to be a sealed set.
I was actually surprised at how little this went for and was prepared to go a good deal higher. Tuned out I was only bidding against two other bidders, presumably because of location. Interestingly location usually goes against me :)
Hope this helps.
I don't do bulk lego lots too often, but this one was worth my time.
ppl with cars got a serious advantage in that case ...
Oh and this is my first post by the way :)
I was going to ask about this 'used' Lego, what's the best way to clean it? That's what's put me off buying it before.
This lot listed above is actually very clean, but I did have to clean a large tub of very old lego of my own that had been in a shed for 20 years and it wasn't a lot of fun and I'm not sure my method was the best.
