Uh, is it just me or do the propeller blades in 42052 look like hockey sticks?
It's presumably supposed to be what is called a Blue Edge blade. That's an Airbus idea that's been around for a few years which reduces blade noise caused by the blade hitting the vortex created by the previous blade. It actually sweeps forwards and then backwards, not just backwards.

@Toc13 I had a friend from the UK once and he says that sometimes you guys get movies in cinemas before we do....is that true? :)
Here in Australia we often do as Thursday's are the release day of new movies, whereas I believe in the US it's Friday? Then add time zone difference which gives us up to a 19 hour head start.

For example I'm going to a midnight screening of Star Wars TFA, it will start at approximately 5am Wednesday 16th PST time in the US. I know that there is going to be a few earlier screenings in the US but for most they will see it 2 days after I have l.

I'm booked in to see TFA on the 18th at 7pm  GMT. Not one of the first screenings but the earliest I could manage. Very excited!

@Basta traditionally, the U.S. premieres movies at midnight Thursday night/Friday morning; but lately, movies have been showing at like 9 PM Thursday night before the midnight "premiere". It's really annoying; takes the charm out of going to the midnight premiere. But TFA is going to for sure be midnight the 17th/18th.

There is only 1 screening here in the original language - on Midnight Thursday night. Luckily I already have my ticket.
It also coincides with the last day at my current job *hurray* and my brothers birthday.
I shall be getting quite drunk!

    I can't wait.

Unfortunately, I have to wait for my brother to come home on the 21st, and me and my siblings are all going to see it.

The first showings for TFA, at least around me, are at 7PM on Thursday. I would have liked to go to that, but due to my friends' conflicting schedules, were going Saturday morning, the 19th. :)

@matticus_bricks the annoying part is a bunch of my friends are going to the premiere, and I also happen to be hosting a Christmas party the Saturday after (before I get to see it), and many of them are attending.....spoiler fest, here we come.....

The starlight Inn looks like a good fit for any medieval fantasy theme.

Noob question but are those catalogs just for online viewing or does lego send physical copies to stores and such? Are those only meant for retail stores?

It's good to see the Corvette from Speed Champions coming in yellow, exactly as I expected. From the previous picture in lower resolution it looked bright light orange like the McLaren P1, but in this it's clearly looks yellow. And that wedge plate 2x2 on the side of the car is a pretty remarkable new piece.

Starlight Inn looks fantastic. Hoping the tiny windows are printed. If so, I will probably be getting multiple copies and my daughters will be getting a pile of extra elf dolls

Looks like another year with many great sets.
Love the Friends pop star house, many of the speed champions sets, the steampunkish ninjago, a few of the elves sets, and so much more we've seen and probably many sets that haven't yet been seen.

I know LEGO brand stores in Europe get them, and I think some other stores as well. When I was in Denmark this past February I picked up an English edition at the airport in Copenhagen and a Danish edition at the gift shop of the LEGOLAND Hotel in Billund.

The network of Lego Retail Merchandisers usually get them in January.

I understand that some Lego City sets are considered as 2016 models, but I found four of them already released in which I'm interested. For example, I found set 60115 (4x4 Off-Roader) an interesting build. Other sets I found were 60116 (Ambulance Plane), 60117 (Van and Caravan), and 60118 (Garbage Truck), all of them at a decent price.

That's a darn faithful representation of the classic Mr. Freeze! looking forward to seeing the rest of the lot.
