Lots of clearance at the local Meijer:

All Ultra Agents sets: 20 to 30% off
All TMNT sets: 20 to 30% off
All Hobbit sets: 20 to 30% off
    Series 1 SW Microfighters: 15% off ($8.49)
Some Marvel Spidey Chopper (?) set: 25ish% off

On top of any Mperks of $5 off $25 or $5 off $30 toy coupons you may be eligble for.

Ohio just lost their tax-free status on Amazon too.....

For September 4th-7th, there is 10% off general merchandise for mPerks users, which should be good for Lego items.  If you don't have/want an mPerks account, the weekend sale ad has a corresponding coupon (direct PDF link).

Though, if you're hitting one of the 24-hour stores at midnight for the new Stars Wars sets, I'm not sure if the discount could be used before 6:00 a.m.

Thanks for the info.  I have been in the store at midnight to test when coupons become usable in the past.  Most of the time you can use the coupon, in fact I think every time I have tried it has worked.

Got the Meijer 'Black Friday' email with the preview ad links. A different sale every day, but Lego items in the mix include:

Thursday - Lego Dimensions Starter Pack $69 (regular $99)

    Friday - Lego 3 piece Storage brick $10 (regular $30, I have never seen this combo before, it's got a 2x1, 1x1 and a round 1x1)

Friday - 20% Off all Friends and City Sets

    Saturday- Nothing Lego specific, but Santa Bucks... $3 off $14.99 item, $5 off $24.99, $10 off $49.99, $15 off $74.99, $20 off $99.99.

All my local Meijer have the 30275 TIE Advanced Prototype and 30303 Joker Car polybags in their stocking stuffer aisle.
  • goshe7goshe7 Member Posts: 515
And mixels series 6!  Hope they break out the $0.99 sale again this year.

Has anyone seen any of the Scooby Doo sets at Meijers?  I haven't which seems surprising since they have been available for a few months now.

Have not seen them at any Meijer in Ohio I've been to. I was somewhat surprised they briefly carried the Jurassic World sets, but didn't bother to carry the Pirate or Scooby Doo themes.

Of the many Meijer stores in the Lansing area, I have seen Scooby-Doo at one: Mason.

Next week's (starts Sunday November 29th) ad has Elsa's Castle, Friends Heartlake Hotel, and Elves Skyra's Castle each $10 off.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Meijer has a number of sets (AT-AT, B-Wing, movie dropship, Emmet's mech, etc) 20% off and tomorrow there is an mperks coupon for 20% off one general merchandise or electronics item.  Likely they are stackable.  If one of thise sets is on your list, game on!

And the Advanced Tie Fighter poly is $3.50 this week. Or $2.80 if you blow the 20% off mperk coupon on it :-)

How much is ATAT priced regularly in store at meijer?
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
I haven't seen one since earlier in the year at the two Meijers I frequent, but I think they were 104.99 or 109.99. I've never seen Meijer mark up Lego that I can recall.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
I was hoping they had them for $99.99 =)

I'm pretty sure they have it at RRP, so $109.99. As far as marking up sets, it's rare but they have done it in the past. The XMen blackbird set being one example. My Meijer (I'm in central OH as well) kept it $5.00 above RRP for the first several months it was out.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Retail for the AT-AT at mine is $109.99, and if I recall correctly the sale price was $87.99.

Tomorrow's coupon should get that to somewhere around $70.39.  36% off.

Most of the sets that were marked down were some of the less popular older ones.  Though just having built the AT-AT last night I can say I really enjoyed it!
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
I already have several of the AT-AT. Not sure I need anymore at this point, but that's a great price whether you are buying to keep or to resell. I might like a B-Wing though, since I don't have any of those.
  • goshe7goshe7 Member Posts: 515
Thanks for the posts.  I noticed the 20% mperks, but was rather unispired by the Bulldozer or Construct-a-Mech.  Looks like I'll be checking out the SW selections.

I've seen X-Men on "clearance" at $42.49 in one of the local Meijer.  Still not close to the Wal-Mart clearance buy-in after the 20% mperks.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
Best I ever saw xjet at Wal-Mart was $35 so the mperks is better per my experience.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Meijer is doing Santa Bucks again today, which depending on price point can work out to up to 20% off.  Splitting your Lego purchases into multiple transactions will ensure that the right "buck" gets applied, otherwise it will go to the next lowest coupon.

In addition a number of sale prices for 20-25% off are in place, which stack with the Santa Bucks.  My store also had several sets clearanced at 15% off that stacks, but that is very YMMV.

The icing on the cake is if you spend $50 you get a free #60053 Race Car set.  You need to grab these from the Lego aisle and scan them with your order (I'm telling you this after assuming that they had them at the checkout and spending ten minutes with a very harried but patient cashier.)

    Not too shabby!

I wish Meijer would open a store a bit closer to where Im at. Surprisingly there are other stores in the area and a rather large vacant store front near me, but no Meijer

The thing I love about Meijer (at least mine) is that their clearance is no nonsense.  They don't have a lot of sales on Lego through the year, but when they clearance stuff out they do not screw around.  Prices slashed 30% off will go to 50% off pretty quickly.  Honestly, the clearance prices seem to work that way across the board, not just toys.  I say this as look down at the $75 laptop bag I just bought for $12 bucks. When they are ready to get rid of stuff they practically give it away.

Oh and the Santa buck deals at the end of the year are pretty hard to beat.

Noticed this today while grocery shopping:

Free #60083 City Snowplow with $75 Lego purchase. I'm not sure if only City sets qualify for the freebie or not.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
That's a great freebie. I bought a ton of stuff on clearance Friday. Would have loved to gotten this a freebie too, but its all good.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Just got a notification through mperks for a coupon good for 20% off one toy item.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Can confirm that the 20% coupon (good today and tomorrow) does NOT count against the $75 total to get the new snow plow.  So you can use the coupon to bring an item below the $75 threshold and still get the freebie.

I just picked up Poe's X-Wing and the Snowplow for $67.83 out the door.  Not too shabby!

Collectible Minifigures were on sale at my Meijer in Indiana 2/$7.
  • InfinitymanInfinityman Member Posts: 127
Surely they can do better then 2/$7 for Halloween-themed CMF. My bet is that they'll go on clearance right after Christmas...
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
Stopped in Meijer last night, they had a bunch of Chima stuff on clearance, but also had X-Men vs. The Sentinel at 50% for 24.99.

However, I picked up a few Tie Advanced Prototype (30275) polybags for 1.19, marked down with all the Xmas clearance stuff.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
Picked up four of the sentinel sets (the ones with the least shelf damage...yeesh) for $24.99 each amd got the $10 off $100 mperks deal.  Not a bad buy in price at all for some gifts/trading fodder/sales next Christmas.

REALLY wish there was a closer Meijer to where I live. Do not feel like driving about 40 minutes to see if they have them there.
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
    Call the store and ask.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,835
I would if I was not tired of hearing 'yeah we have them' then getting there and they either sold out as I was going there, or they really did not have them to begin with. An awful long way to drive to see that. Not sure they would hold them either.
  • ShpadoinkleShpadoinkle Member Posts: 420
FWIW I have not seen any of the Christmas polys at three different meijer stores since the 26th.  In my experience those are the first thing that sells out in stocking stuffer section.
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
Hit the Meijer on the nice end of town tonight. Picked up a couple of Joker polybags for 1.19.

Every department except Toys had the 'Extra 25% off Clearance' discounts... Does anyone recall if Toys usually get this?

Ton of stuff on Clearance, all the Architecture sets, some large City sets, lots of DC sets... I will wait for the extra 25% and/or a 15/20% mperk.....
  • evantylerevantyler Member Posts: 86
Picked up a 50% off X-Men vs. the Sentinel set at a Central Ohio Meijer thanks to this thread. Thanks for the tip!
  • goshe7goshe7 Member Posts: 515
^^Toys will get the extra markdown on clearance.  Probably next week?   I think they usually run 1.5 weeks of first markdown before adding the extra 25% on toys.   Nice find on the jokers. ...  every store I've seen has been wiped out.   (I'm still bitter they didn't mark down the mixels at all this year. )

City Square, if you can find it,  will be a great pickup at 25% + 25%.
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
There's an mPerk for 10% off through tomorrow. If your local store has larger sets still on clearance, this could be decent.

In other news, my Meijer unearthed even more Chima polybags (30263)... And put them on the standard 25% off. If anyone wants any and is willing to trade for non-Chima stuff, drop me a line. Between this and my Target only stocking the Ice Bear Mech poly in EVERY checkout Lane, I'm losing it. They must have a huge backstock of polys.
  • malachirobertsonmalachirobertson Member Posts: 268
Not an actual discount, but at my Meijer I saw some of the March wave of Star Wars (Obi-wan interceptor, rebels pack, droid escape) and the Black Panther set out already.

Same (South Eastern OH). I believe all the Star Wars sets were accounted for with the exception of a few microfighters.

The two smallest Civil War sets were out as well. I thought both looked pretty good and had a decent fig assortment.

    Happy hunting!!!

Meijer had the Scooby Doo Mansion for $69.99, plus there's $5 off $25 toy coupons in the in-store flyer.

There were various City and Friends sets for 20% off, and CMF 15 were BOGO 50% off, but we're picked over

^ Nice - thanks for the update! All the Creator sets were also 20% off in my store.

I picked up the Haunted Mansion and used the $5 Toy Coupon. $64.99 is best deal I've seen on this set so far.

The Easter polys and Mix-its were also BOGO 50% off
  • goshe7goshe7 Member Posts: 515
^ Mine didn't have Easter polys at BOGO50...  Olaf was marked down to $2.99 (but only had two remaining when I got there).  Poe's X-Wing and City Car both were regular price and no BOGO50 tags.

Series 6 mixels were BOGO50.  The few stray Series 5 I found were not ringing up BOGO50, though.

Got one for City, Creator, DC, Marvel and Minecraft.

No SW or Friends. There's also an 8 off 80 mPerk which looked global (was not in the rewards section)

Nice to see some of the licensed themes come in on the deal - they are typically limited to City and Creator.

I was just in Cincinnati last week and went to Meijer's, which I hadn't been to in over a decade (being none where I live). It was very nice, like what Kmart ought to be but can't seem to care enough to bring about. Interesting discounts on LEGO, around 10-15%. Do you get steep discounts there at all?
