I think Nexo Knights will be kinda cool; the King's Mech especially looks exciting to me.
I love this theme. No stickers. No figs to chase. Just cool shit to build.
Corner Deli looks good though, so not all is lost :).
I think you meant #31010 for the current Tree house.
Yeah I missed out on the last version of the lighthouse and I'm hoping this one is just as good or better. As far as the current treehouse - idk... For whatever reason I'm just not a fan. I'm looking forward to seeing a different take on it. And I get what you're saying about the lodge and mountain hut or even the cabin before that but I appreciate the subtle differences. That brick built moose is pretty cool.
I'm saving money cuz I'm not planning on buying any!
Not keen on Nexo Knights, maybe when a larger set is revealed. A shame about the city islands not including any blue plates to make it actually look like an island.
Lego should really start to sell blue and white baseplates.
That's what I thought until I saw the images. They look more like the dragons from "How to Train Your Dragon" and didn't look brick built but just molds. =/
A few very nice creator sets.
Like others I have been amazed by the ocean explorer. Its a small set but it looks amazing and it uses a very interesting building techniques. Exactly what I am looking for with small creator sets. This set is one of the best small creator sets in years!
I have grown to like lego animals and am more or less collecting them so the dog+ducks and the reindeer will be a must. Am still not 100% sold on their looks but it is difficult to make animals look good with a small amount of pieces and they are all cute.
The small creator house/café/store. I bought 2 of those sets last year, the bike shop and the toy shop/super market. One of them had a good sub build, the news paper stand, but the main builds and other builds are not that great. This years set looks even a bit worse imo, they are a sort of modular for younger people and I just don't like them anymore somehow. Will not be getting these anymore unless it has an amazing sub build like the news paper stand.
The lake cabin. This is a sort of sub series in the creator set. Every year has a cabin like building. I have the one from last year and will probably be getting this one as well, they kinda cute though they do lack substance for me.
Was very pleased as well to see a new lighthouse,am curious how it will look.
The brick bank, much has been said about this already. Modulars are amongst my favorit lego sets but this set is not my favorit. I love modular buildings to be one building. The detective office was an amazing set that is one of my favorits. It are different buildings but they match very well. The brick bank is 2 buildings that imo do not match, the laundry takes away from the grandeur of the bank and the building does not feel to be in good harmony. I do love the architecture of the front of the bank though and the inside I like as well, even the chimney others find a waste I find a nice touch. Still bit in doubt about this one but as I have gotten the last 4 buildings it almost feels like a must.
Ghostbusters building. Was looking forward to this very much based on the well known moc from a swiss builder. When I saw more pictures of it I found it a bit disappointing and clearly worse then the moc. Was already looking for an excuse to not have to spend 400$ on 1 set so I don't mind it that much:)
New architecture sets are amazing. This theme is becoming stronger and I think the quality is very high. Only got 2 sets so far but will definitely be getting more. New York cityscape and the possibly new York land mark are my favorites.
Palace Pets has annoyingly reached out to me with its cuteness and made me want them.
My main areas of interest of Elves and Superheroes, with a side of Ninjago, ave not had pictures published yet so I'm still eagerly anticipating those, as well as the next series of CMFs (regular and Disney).
I'm definitely excited about next year's Elves, Ninjago, and Bionicle sets and trying, perhaps in vain, not to get too excited about Nexo Knights. I'm starting to think it's inevitable that I will end up getting at least a few Nexo Knights sets, although how much I like the story will play a big role in determining whether I collect it with a passion like I do with those other themes or just get occasional sets like I did with Chima and Ultra Agents.
The new Star Wars buildable figures look pretty cool in their own right, but my main interest in those is strictly for parts. The human head sculpts (at least, the ones without headgear) could be useful for building MOCs of human characters, and there are also a lot of nice recolors in some of the sets.
I'm not too impressed by most of the sets next year, except the Brick Bank, Firehouse Headquarters, New York City and the Burj Khalifa!
I'm generally pretty ambivalent toward CCBS themes, but the new Bionicle sets look very nice. They seem more finished and visually cohesive as a theme than last year's sets. I don't see myself buying any, simply because building large figures doesn't particularly interest me, but I'm pretty impressed by them.
While I think the dragons look pretty good, I don't know that I'd call them elegant. Their bodies in the preliminary images look pretty blocky. Whereas the Ninjago dragons look fluid and lithe, these seem more chunky. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, though. They look friendly and whimsical, which is probably at least part of what the designers were going for.
Based on the preliminary images, they do look good. But I like the initial 2015 wave better for its variety. Like @LostInTranslation, I tend to dislike waves that go "all-in" on a subject. Dragons are fine, but I think they're a bit cliché and lose their impact when they're so numerous. That only one of the sets isn't dragon-centric is a disappointment. I also like the more neutral colors of the previous wave. I'm okay with pink and purple foliage, pink and purple accents, etc., but stonework and wooden doors in Medium Lavender comes across as too "girlified" to me.

Also can't wait for the Architecture series, and those Elves dragons.
I started collecting Mixels so I'm going to buy all the new ones.
Prison Island looks interesting and I really like the Crooks Island just for the BURPS.
I like all the evil Nexo Knights stuff and I'm definitely buying Ultimate Lavaria. I hope one of the unknown ultimates is Axl.
I started collecting Ninjago this year so I'm looking forward to all the new sets. Looks like there's going to be a lot! I'm even being tempted by the Dimensions stuff and I don't have Dimensions. I really like the minibuild of Sensei Wu's dragon.
Have to buy the new CMFs and looking forward to Disney's.
Not a priority but a lot of the Bionicle looks cool.
I don't heavily collect SW but I'm definitely getting the Carbon Freezing Chamber. The Galactic Empire Battle Pack is interesting. I like the red Stormtrooper.
I really want to see what the Batman Classic TV Series Batcave looks like and the price. Sets like this make me wonder if LEGO ideas really is affecting what LEGO is coming up with even if they don't use anyone's entries. Would LEGO ever have thought to get licensing for Back to the Future and Ghostbusters if it wasn't for ideas? I think not.
Quite a few people are saying 2016 is going to be a bad year for LEGO but I see a lot of things that interest me and seem affordable.
Treehouse is also set Im looking for, some decent treehouse in creator range Im sure it will be beautiful.
But most Im interested in bucket wheel excavator in technic range.
The Resistance Transporter just looks awesome to me, but maybe that's due to my love of the b-wing. Nice to see something like this considering the other episode VII ships have been somewhat uninspiring. I haven't really liked any of them outside of the xwing and tie fighters.
Again, without seeing the movie, all these Force Awakens sets have been easy to pass on at the $ being charged. Star Wars or not, without any emotion to the sets, I cant purchase...I have sooooo much more emotion to money! :)
Again great ideas, but horrible prices.
