I don't know about a bow but if you move to NWT Canada you can get a polar bear. :P

This wasn't recent, but I recently discovered how good a deal I got!  Last year at Black Friday I was at Walmart and I picked up (no literally, it was on the floor by the checkout where someone had decided not to get it) a lego creative tower #10664-1 for $20!  I knew it was a good deal, but I stumbled across it on amazon the other day and I was floored by the price!

The last good deal I got was in Singapore at the start of August. 2x SG50 sets for $50(SGD) each. Someone with a market store in Chinatown had been buying them from local kids and selling them on. I only bought two as I was on my way out, unfortunately on the way back they had all gone.

Found a brand new #7597 for 80 euro in a small Sicilian town. I also found four old Duplo sets, #2783 through #2786. They were a little high on the price, so I didn't get them, but it was neat to see them!

Got this box of Lego from a work colleague, weight is between 12-13KG & a mix of mainly Star Wars & Indiana Jones. Unfortunately there's no mini-fig's but cannot grumble at the price...... £40 the lot :)

  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
$401 plus $10 shipping. I thinks a great find. Cheapest one in BL is $600. It also has all 3 instruction books. Finished the inventory. Not 98% complete like I thought but it's only missing 193 pieces out of 3,428. So I'm very happy!

Found a rack of series 13 CMF's at the check-out at Target. I'm not a "feeler" but the one on the end was an obvious Hotdog Guy!

What does the price tag say in the upper right hand corner?

So having said that I'd managed to reserve the EOL #75030 at RRP over on the Microfighters discussion, it turns out I hadn't. Following the confirmation email, I received a second email saying it was OOS. >:(

I thought I'd missed the boat on that one, but I've since managed to pick one up BNIB on eBay for 22% off RRP :)

^ Well so much for buying a BNIB set so I could keep the box mint after building it...

From what my wife says (she was at home at the time), the postman decided not to knock, but instead to ram the package through the letterbox (despite it being too big). Judging by the noise it made this took quite some effort. In doing so he managed to rip the outer Jiffy bag open and damage all six sides of the box!

    Not impressed. >:(

Sounds like my argos order, except mine was left at the door, all boxes crushed and the only sent 4 of 6 items.

Their computer says i only ordered 4 the reciept shows the correct 6.

Don't know if you can call this a "brag" but, I have been trying to collect the parts for a Avro Bros Kaneda bike and managed the 6 red X-Pods & the 2 red Scala 6942 dishes, (pic 1), so far & it took a while & a fair few quid, (I bought 2 Scala #3290 houses to get the dishes).

Then another Scala red dish pop's up on ebay on Saturday on a buy-it-now for the grand sum of £2.00, (pic 2)

Now I have the rarest, (?), parts for the Akira bike just need a copy of the book now :)

@GentlyBenevolent It's a fun build so far, I've only finished the rear half of the bike (I haven't had time to finish it yet).

For anyone else, I happen to have 6 spare red X-Pod lids available if anyone needs them (I ended up with a total of 12 of them through various sources)...

^I've been tempted by the thought, but haven't full on looked into it yet. What's the rough cost in sourcing all the parts for you? And how many parts total does the build take?

    According to this :-

    http://brickset.com/article/10055/book-review-kaneda-s-bike

    1091 parts

Cost ????, (however much you choose to spend).... :)

I collected my best Ebay joblot to date last night :) 14KG of 70's & 80's vintage Lego for £87.55. Going by the manuals it should contain #375 #854 #894 #918 #920 #924 #926 #928 #8844 #8845 #8841 #8843 #8851 #8848 #8860 and probably more besides. At least 50 minifigs as well. It will take a fair bit of sorting but I am in vintage Lego heaven right now lol. Gotta love that classic space & vintage Technic.

Not a great find, but kind of random. Found a 2011 SpongeBob set at WalMart today. Rang up for $9.00!  Trying to decide if I want to open it or not...thoughts?

The C3P0 and snowman came from TRU today....nothing special!

  • Thanos75Thanos75 Member Posts: 1,120
They had a whole isle. This Wal-Mart is doing something I have never seen before. They are marking down the clearance every week until it's gone. I will go back for more next week. They had some new sets marked down aswell like the Hulkbuster for $15 and the Ninjago Ronin set for $30.
