Does anyone know if Lego plans on making new sets for the new season of Rebels? I know all the hype is on the upcoming movie, but Season 2 of Rebels sounds like it's going to be great!

*Spoilers ahead*
Near the end of the article, they talk about Captain Rex and a few other clones, and how after they were let go by the emperor when they got too old. They got hold of an AT-AT and modify it to be an epic fishing vessel of some kind. And the creator of the show said he hopes they make it into a Lego set because it's just awesome.
I also think it would be nice to get an adult Ahsoka. She was easily my favorite character from Clone Wars, and I am so happy they are continuing her story.

This looks great.
Poor Dave Filoni doesn't seem to recognise the difference between an AT-AT and an AT-TE. Still, he knows how to direct a Star Wars animated series so he is forgiven.
Take my money and give me that red B-Wing!
^^
I know, I have one in my build pile, doesn't mean I wouldn't want a red one :) wonder if its moc-able.
The Lego sets are nice too, pretty much all the ones they released so far. I don't have them all, but I do have the Ghost and Phantom, as well as the Tie Prototype, the set with Sabine and the speeder bikes, and the chicken walker (AT-DP). Only thing I wish they would not have done is change the design of the printing on the Tie-Fighter Pilot and Stormtroopers. The Tie Pilots from the microscale and last year's advent calender look nicer, and so do the regular new Stormtroopers, all the other SW-R minifigs look great, and I am grateful they stopped doing those ridiculous clone-war faces with the ugly (Japanese Manga/anime) eyes.
Curious what they will release next. I hope some more Imperial stuff, as well as a nice set with Ashoka. I don't have an A-Wing fighter, and I missed out on the last one released, which judging from pictures looked really good and came with two fantastic (exclusive?!) minifigs (the 3rd was another Han Solo). So another A-Wing would be great.
A red B-Wing, could be nice as long as they use primarily burgundy Red and not mainly bright red lest it might turn out to resemble some sort of strangely morphed fire-engine from the Lego City theme.
With the return of those elderly clones (bold with beards) there might be a new huge AT-TE Lego set.
Too bad the Grand Inquisitor already died. There will be other ones, but this Pau'an (species from Utapau) not only looked really menacing, he was every bit as fearsome and ruthless, which made him an interesting foe. It was a good plot twist, however I can't help but feel that the writers killed him off too soon. Seeing him die so sudden, just like Darth Maul in SW ep1, made me feel a little sad as I wanted to learn more about this antagonist. What was his history? How did he become Grand Inquisitor etc.? He was no Sith, but he was Force sensitive and trained and initiated into the Dark-Side of the Force by Vader and Palpatine, and taught to wield a light sabre. And not just a regular light sabre, but a double spinning one used not only as a melee weapon but also as a boomerang.
I do understand that from the perspective of storytelling; having to successfully create an arch with a climax and cliffhanger at the end of season one, some characters need to meet their demise in an epic melodramatic war story / space opera. However it is unfortunate that the writers don't have the guts to do the same with a protagonist as well, even if it is only a minor one. If they would, the loss could both add, not only to the tragedy, but also to the depth and intensity of the adventure, and thus to the strength of the show. As a bonus, it would also aid in being more forgiving towards all those Stormtroopers with their lousy aim, never hitting any of their targets while being mowed and clobbered down by the dozens, yet still conquering and occupying the entire galaxy.

Thanks for posting that link to that article. I enjoyed reading that.
Only set I remember being a SW Rebel Cartoon series Lego set is the picture I saw of #75141 , from what I remember the speederbike looked more like one of those 'SW extended universe and prequel trilogy' Swoopbikes, like the one Anakin rides when he goes to rescue his mom and kills all the Tusken raiders. It did not resemble the speederbikes from #75090 which in the first 'zero' 45 minute long episode from season 1 featured, and of which some did actually pull along these repulsor-lift cargo modules, which are part of this new 2016 set. Is this the set the one that will contain another Rodian? I remember it had next to Kanan Jarrus one of those AT-DP pilots / Imperial speederbiker but with a different coloured printed torso and helmet similar to the minifigs included in #75083 if I recall correctly?!?
One cargo-module contains a bunch of thermal detonators, the other blasters.
Any way nice set!
Not sure if there were other SW Rebel sets?!
Thanks.
Yeah, I just thought lets check the cachee to see if I can still find something. No idea though this set with the Rodian is from an upcoming game. Pretty cool game, judging by the trailer (to the extend that trailers tell you anything about gameplay etc.).

Too bad it will only be released on the 'next gen' consoles and pc. I got an xbox360, and I do not feel like buying another console in the foreseeable future. I hope it will have a good 'game engine' so it plays well. I have never played any SW console games, maybe I should see if I can find an older one that is good and fun to play on my 360 this winter.
Still I will get #75133 , looks like a nice set. Only minus IMO are those studshooter guns and the absence of proper minifig SW blasters. Would be nice if TLG would include those too in the future, only four more elements to the total piece count of the set, what is the big deal?!
If I remember correctly, wasn't there a leaked picture some time ago of a set with another B-Wing in Red!?
If I do remember correctly, it is from an upcoming set. And that ship just starred in the latest SW Rebels episode: 'Wings of the Master' which aired this week.
Great episode btw!
Do not click on the link if you do not want to see spoilers and have not seen the episode yet!!!

Any way 2016 will be a totally supa-dupa SW Lego year.
guess that lego will reveal 2016 sets in 2017. or when there will be so many leaks they will have no choice.
Besides the pilot, seated in the gyroscopic cockpit, there is a second module on the other side of the primary airfoil where a gunner can take place. I wonder if that gunner-station is also gyroscopic?! It would make sense wouldn't it.
When Hera Syndulla engages the Imperials, Sabine sat in that gunner pod. I wonder if they will also include that aspect of the star-fighter in the orange 'B-wing prototype' Lego set.
When it comes to minifigs in that set, I hope it will also include the Mon Calamari engineer Quarrie and his astromech droid BG-81, with its transparent dome. As well as Sabine with her Mandalorian Helmet and a new hairpiece in pastel/mint-green (as her hair is dyed a different colour in this season) with indigo blue and a touch of purple on top. Also a new minifig version of Hera with a (detachable) transparent visor on her Twi'lek (head)piece would be nice.
Does anyone know whether that leaked picture from a month ago was of the finished set, the definitive product, or a preliminary photo of a set still in development?
ps.
Those Imperial battleships, much smaller than those huge star destroyers looked very cool too.
It would be nice to see the AT-TE modified by clones and an Imperial Troop Transport of the right size (not battle pack version).
I'd also like to see some starships: maybe the red B-wing used by Hera, the Phoenix Home, the corellian corvette and the Arquitrens-class cruiser (the small Star Destroyer that has appeared since the second half of Season 2). These last three should be high-priced, so I'd like to see maybe only one of them next year. But that is at least one.
