Yeah, would be sweet if I could get them both. Ive been told to talk with the owner of the petrol station but I've not yet had the chance. The two people I did asked said no to my offer but they were just employees I believe. Next time I go I'll be sure to take some cash with me and have a lovely chat with the owner!
When I went back, he told me he sold them all to one person. LIES!
There was the may the 4th TRU promo over here and you could build and keep a micro scale Wookie Gunship. I told a friend to go and check his TRU, he told me that the manager said there was no event nor any BaK event. I think some store staff make a killing when their business has free or very cheap bricks @ their fingertips.
Also, I don't see these last Shell sets becoming suddenly highly sought after, unless LEGO investors/resellers start cornering the market. Unlike some of the more desireable licensed LEGO products, I don't see Shell as following suit.
That display stand however is a very nice item. Like all LEGO promotion display items, I'm sure it would fetch a pretty penny.
TLG and Shell have a relationship since the mid 1950s. Among the earliest Shell branded LEGO items, was this large wooden gas pump....
... and these 1:43 scale Shell Chevrolet Tanker Trucks... ( #908 and #918 )...
From my Unofficial LEGO 1:43 Chevrolet Trucks Collectors Guide (1952-57).
This 325 set came in 3 box variations... two for continental Europe and one for Britain/Ireland/Australia (bottom)...

If TLG is changing supplier, their Shell partnership will end as a result.

Shell is not on the list. And I doubt that being a 3rd party supplier to any of these Chemical giants would negate an agreement to supply TLG with raw ABS.
Some of these Chemical giants are so large, they probably get the source petroleum for their ABS production from multiple sources... one of which could be Royal Dutch Shell.
