Case rarity alone will put her higher than the skeleton.

And there are those that collect the "animals." That I would think also gives her a possible edge.

I still consider the plant guy to be in a costume.  Any other explanation is just too weird.

Agreed, it doesn't make any sense, especially when he's shoe'd into a comic.  If he's saying anything other than "I'M BEING EATEN ALIVE, GET ME OUT OF THIS *€}%€|^ PLANT!!!" It just doesn't sit right with me.

I mean, here we see him eating some chicken...while allegedly the plant is eating him.  Is this a sick take on the Witch from Hansel and Gretal?!  So the plant is just fattening up the guy?  TLG, you disgust me!

    ;)

I don't get why it just can't be a plant.

They clearly show the cat licking itself.  I feel cheated that mine cannot be posed to do that.

I'm so excited, I finally got my case!!

I'm going to put the extras up in my bricklink store once me and the kiddo open enough to get the full set. Hopefully I can get some practice feeling them to get them right, lol! I heard some people say it's really easy with this one.
  • DedgeckoDedgecko Member Posts: 798
I obviously don't do it enough, not to mention I'm afraid I might be handling the parts too roughly through the packaging and the printing is getting marred, but some of them were kind of tricky finding the right piece and its texture.  Also, I have zero experience with the new ghost legs, so I really struggled with those parts as they felt so unnatural to me.  I think I ended up with 100%, but to be sure I think I'm going to open everything and sell the extra sets, and figures like that.

Just to be sure at least.  I'm sure the avid collectors will want the original packages sealed, so I may have to reduce the selling prices closer to MSRP and just sell to the general public.  Looks like a set is going for $80-$95 on eBay sealed.

I think this confirms that I'm just rubbish at feeling packs.  Managed to get two guy banshees (but I wanted another one, so that was lucky), two kid gargoyles and three zombie pirates (to be fair, one of the zombie pirates was my bf and he certainly doesn't care about things like pack feeling).  So far I have 5/16, but "I've" purchased 9.  Whoops!

I found it really easy once I opened one and looked at the pictures.  My husband got really into it too.

Does anyone else use a portable x-ray machine?  The folks at Target really don't mind.

I'm not sure if you're being serious. Aren't the bags foil? My husband actually suggested the same idea but then said it wouldn't work.

    No, not serious.

But the next time I'm at the denitist or at a security checkpoint, I'm going to try it out.

The Spectres are easy to distinguish from the Banshees. While both do not have minifig legs (so if you do not feel legs then you have one of the two), and the Spectre has the chain; Banshees do not. Zombie pirates, feel for the legs and feel for the peg leg.
Actually someone put up the feeler guide somewhere for these. It is not easy, I have a  hard time doing it, but once I figure out what fig is in a pack it gets easier for me to get in the groove.

For the spectre vs banshee, I found the hair/cap easier to tell the difference than finding the chain. The banshee has a larger hair piece, and the spectre has a triangular hood with a hole in front.

When figuring out if it's a spectre or banshee just shake the bag. The chain makes a very distinct sound.

That's a good thought, but by the normal Minifigure in a costume criteria she's not quite there.  The character profile says she was "once a regular Minifigure" until she became "an incredible mystical creature".  Her whip is for taming Minifigures, in fact.
I don't really care what the character profile says, and have placed her with my animal costume CMFs. I expect that many others who collect by type rather than series will likely do the same.

Whoops, I meant that I got two spectres rather than banshees... but yes the principle was the same haha.  Thanks everyone! :)

My Lego minifigures I use for photo ops (I carry them in a contact lens cases) set off the metal detector at the baseball stadium out by us. They ran them through the x-ray...not sure what they saw.

They are. But your fingers start to cramp up and frustrate can settle in.

The last two I could ever find were the zombies. Key in for the pom poms (smaller, handheld spiky balls) and the briefcase.

The most obvious is plant guy.

Mine came from @MinifiguresPlus today as well.  My daughter and I put the missing ones together and they are safely in a display case until I get the haunted house out of the closet!

I'm horrible at feeling packs, I can't distinguish anything. I picked up 10 of the 16 (the ones I liked) the other day at the Lego store, and just had the employees find the ones I wanted, it was pretty sweet.

Our complete set of Series 14 from @MinifiguresPlusarrived today. Thank you for providing such a service, else we wouldn't have any to add to our Halloween display at this rate, as our local retailers still don't have these on shelves.

I am also terrible at feeling packs. I don't even try anymore. So far i have 5 of the 16 and i put a LEGO layaway on today at Toys R Us that had 16 more packs of these. I will hope for the best, but i doubt i get the rest of the set.

I finally found 9 of these at Walgreens. Bought all of them and ended up with 2 FM,2 Scientists, a Tiger, a Cheerleader, Gargoyle, Banshee and Skeleton. I already owned the F. M. because my wife bought it for me as a present.

I'd like to have doubles on the Gargoyle cuz I'd love to put those wings on another figure for a fantasy build.
  • SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,241
Cheerleaders seem to be the toughest to find.  I bought two half-cases and got one.  On the other hand, I have 7 Tiger Ladies.

I think this was the fastest I've found a complete series without doubles. I mean, I think 45 minutes is sorta fast. I think it would be easier if you look for a particular piece without feeling through the pack forcefully. It does help to shake the bag first to toss the accessories to one side instead of being clumped up in the center. I think the Fly Monster was the trickiest, but if you feel for the body it's easy to discern the left hand pincer. One bag I picked up I immediately recognized the beard and knew it was the Zombie pirate.

I did mistake a plant monster for the witch while buying some extras. It's fine though since they're cool figs. Definitely one of the best and fun series to date. =D

Wow the Tiger Lady is the hardest to find in Asia as  everyone is going for those and the premium on reseller market is ridiculous considering its intro only a couple of months ago

Completed my set with only 2 doubles. Great series and really easy to feel the packets.
  • bandit778bandit778 Member Posts: 2,398
This is my first time collecting these as this is the only series of CMF's that I have really looked at and thought I wanted. Brought  23 from varying different shops and managed to get a complete set,  an extra ghost, tiger lady, gargoyle, banshee and squarefoot and 2 extra witches which I didn't think was to bad.
  • sklambsklamb Member Posts: 516
Got my complete set from @MinifiguresPlus a few days ago, much to my relief and joy. Thank you again for making them available at such a reasonable price--I don't have much time to shop for Lego in person, so I've bought most of my CMFs online. Like so many others, this was the first time I wanted a complete set!

I was able to get a complete set within the first visit to my local Toysrus. For some reason, this series of minifigures is not bringing in the usual crowds. I see tons of full boxes everywhere I go. For previous series, it was hard to find even half a box. Not sure if anyone else is noticing this? I could honestly have like 5 complete sets from just my local Toysrus.

Actually what I find a bit interesting is that it appears the purple witch is one of the harder to find, they seem to be gone whenever I am searching packs at a store
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
^Had the same experience for the Witch and Tiger Lady.
  • TheLoneTensorTheLoneTensor Member Posts: 3,937
I haven't had difficulty finding witches or tiger ladies, or any other really except maybe the werewolf.

Btw, I'm only finding this series at TRU.  Michigan Targets, Walmarts, Kmarts and hell, even Walgreens don't have them.  Plus, one TRU I went to had them locked up in video game security clamshells because of apparently too much theft.
