I suppose I will head over to TRU tomorrow to see what I can blow the $60 rewards dollars on.
I'm saving my other Rewards and gift cards for CMFs (hopefully) or a BOGO.
I plan to do that if my LEGO store doesn't get anything in stock in the next two weeks. The normal 2 full aisles of LEGO are basically crammed down into less than 1/2 of one side of an aisle.
I don't buy anything at TRU except LEGO, and they can look at my Rewards account history to confirm that ;)
Check over you points stuff too. I went in today to use them all and it turned out that I could only use half the points they gave me and half later. And now I just realized they never gave me my $10 off $50 too.
TRU should be free to do whatever they like with pricing. I feel we should be responsible for ourselves and figure out whether their deals are good or not. But, I really dislike TRU's pricing practices. And now this rewards thing really ticked me off.
If you have one of those massive TRU superstores they may have exclusives like Pet shop, GW, etc, but that is it, I think most sets are overpriced, grossly is some cases...
Its really sad when price increases are so common place at TRU now that a thread has to be made about what sets are not GROSSLY overpriced.
I'm guessing the Series 6 will be 4 bucks a pack when they show up at TRU
TRU can do what they want though.. if they want to increase prices in a bad economy and make more people go to places like Amazon, Walmart, and Target for their LEGO prices, then so be it. The trouble is people are still buying at TRU even with the bad prices.
I'm guessing once the 10% reward coupons expires then the prices will mysteriously fall back to normal.
If this is the case, my question is: Why bother having 'rewards' like this if TRU is only going to raise the prices to counter act the rewards earned?
