I'll take some stale CMF packaging... those Series 1 packs are old and are probably just taking up warehouse space...

^ That & few series 10, I'll suffer the risk of getting a few Mr Golds, I mean really wants those, but I'm willing to take the risk.

But if we're really wanting to protect an order, I'd prefer they use a modular building or UCS set to protect each my CMF packets... I'll find something to do with the plastic bricks, i'm sure. :oP

Or they run out of boxes so decide to use 4 x #10179 that were mysteriously discovered in the warehouse and wrap up bubble wrap around them to contain the trick or treat order

Got my LEGO order, but no CMFs.. Oh Well, My GF and I found a TRU with about 10 packs left, got her Spider Lady to complete her set, but no other stores seem to have them right now. Though I still think that there is another run of these and they will be lingering like 12&13

Is anyone else having clutch problems with the mad scientist hat/head thingy? I got 3 packs the other day and the thing is so loose and the Frankenstein hat/head part isnt clutching right either

I dont think I've walked into a target or tru and not found them.  Target typically has them at the electronics counter, TRU has 'em at the cs counter, even walmart has them in lego hanger cardboard displays.
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,828
Have not seen them in the Chicagoland area since I got my set at the Watertower LEGO Store.  If I had trick or treaters coming to my door I might get some to hand out to the good neighborhood kids. Or if there was a kids Halloween party they would make good goodie bag treats. Maybe that's why they are in short supply in places.

Yes and no. I have two of him and one has awful clutch and the other one is fine. Seems hit or miss. My Frankenstein is fine though.

Completed a full set a few weeks ago and just picking up duplicates now to populate my haunted house. Having real difficulty finding Wacky Witches. Not sure if I'm just missing them or they are being specifically cherry picked before I get there. Will have to keep looking.
  • air_bair_b Member Posts: 8
Newbie here, my first CMF set and I have 14/16 with only one duplicate. I stopped at 15 because I lost track of what I found/didn't find. Just gotta look for the tiger lady and the banshee lady.

After 5 trips to 3 Walgreen's, have my complete set plus extra Gargoyle (and 3 more dups because I apparently forgot which was my discard pile and which was my keep pile). Wacky Witches are hard to find here in rural Ohio.

Bring a checklist and mark it as you found it. Good job though!

My discard pile is usually massive; much larger than my keep pile. And I usually put the unwanted ones back in the box anyway.

We have our set, somehow only got one extra Spectre which I am fine having a extra of him. Looking for another witch for the cat but has been hard to find! They sell out so fast.

For all the people having a hard time keeping track here's a tip if you are getting the CMF at a LEGO Store. Get a big Pick-a-Brick cup and put the ones you want in it, and  when you take it up pay they only charge you for the CMF. (you don't get the Pick-a-Brick cup)

    Finally completed my set.

The Catwoman was third hardest to find.

But the last two really eluded me until I found a box at Target: the zombie cheerleader and businessman.

Weird.  I have 4 extra zombie cheerleaders.  I cant seem to find the scientist or the rocker which are both supposed to be common.

I have two spare scientists but no cheerleaders if you want to swap.

    Let me know,

Rather than spend any more time feeling through bags to find the final Wacky Witch I'm after, I caved and ordered one from eBay. The extra 90p she cost easily offsets the effort involved.

Overall a brilliant series.  Favourite is hard to say but I really like the spectre,  zombie business man and cheerleader.

So are the little bump codes unique to their respective batches, or do i need to feel through all of the bags still?  I only intend to open a set and a select few for duplicates.

I would never trust the bump codes.  Besides, this is by far the easiest series to feel for.

Received mine as well from @MinifiguresPlus along with Simpson series 2.  I've purchased a case from him from series 4 till now and never had a problem dealing with him.  The prior series cases I purchased elsewhere.

Dr. Hibbert's hair is the only verifiable "bump" code.  I have yet to find one of those bump code maps that is anywhere near reliable.

Series 14 is pretty easy to identify.

I don't doubt that, I'm just lazy, and anything to reduce the time spent feeling for minifigs, even in the comfort of my home, would be time well spent.

^ I tried codes for one of the early series, and honestly it was much faster to feel.

I got to wondering about which of the S14 minifigs people consider the mascot, which is present in many of the series: S13 Hot Dog Man, S12 Piggy Guy, TLM Panda Guy, S10 Bumblebee Girl, S9 Chicken Suit Guy, S7 Bunny Suit Guy, S5 Lizard Man, S3 Gorilla Suit Guy.  I think that's all of them.

For S14 it must be Skeleton Guy.  He's the only one of the S14 that is actually a "normal minifigure" in a costume; the rest are monster characters.

I'd consider the Tiger lady to be as well, as she's a yellow head rather than a zombie grey. On that basis probably even plant guy as well. They both sit nicely with the other mascots though I might change plant guy's head to a more fun one, rather than fear.

That's a good thought, but by the normal Minifigure in a costume criteria she's not quite there.  The character profile says she was "once a regular Minifigure" until she became "an incredible mystical creature".  Her whip is for taming Minifigures, in fact.

I think many would say that for S6 is is Lady Liberty.

I'm guessing she will be more pricey than the Skeleton guy in the secondary market, but Skeleton guy is truly a costumed person.
