Some friends and I went to the shop at Water Tower Place but just to burn some time until dinner by building mini-figures. I bought a second of a small Pharaoh's Quest set but that was just an impulse purchase. I asked a couple employees about Series 6 and while they all told me that it wouldn't go on sale for a while longer, one did confide that the boxes had arrived and that he'd already secured himself a couple figures including the Roman legionary.

On the topic of After-Christmas sales, I haven't bought anything yet and probably won't get anything again until January. Every set that Lego is offering on Shop-at-Home are those that I've already got my fill of though I might get a couple more of a few of them; still undecided on that. On the positive side, I had a nice two weeks' travel and got to see some people I hadn't seen in months so that always trumps Lego purchases.

I'll visit tomorrow when I get back into town. I'm not holding my breath but I think PQ and Atlantis may be on my list. We'll see what happens.

I too was at the Lego Store at Water Tower Place and picked up a lot of sets. Battle of Endor, Winter Toy Shop, MMV, Robber's Hideout, and a bunch of others. Had three large bags full of sets when I left.

I only got one item that was on sale: Republic Dropship w/ AT-OT which was $75 off original price. I also picked up Robber's Hideout, Recycle Truck and DC Heroes Catwoman set.

Got these items from Walmart, plus 2 regular Advent Calendars, a Star Wars Advent Calendar, and a 10199 Toy Shop from the LEGO store.

I picked up several advent calendars at $20 from both Walmart and the lego stores...
Also got a couple of the city ones for $17 from lego store.... but my best haul was the 8129 AT-AT for 20% off from the lego store (plus 5% off VIP) not bad...

I must say that I was dissapointed given the amount of stores I visited... Ended up spending a lot less than I was planning, but who knows, maybe there will be better sales next weekend.....

Was surprised to see that not only lego but all stores in general had very disappointing sales....

I didnt get any where near as much as I was hoping for. From [email protected] only got Winter Bakery and 2 Pharoahs Quest battle packs. Other than that ALien Conquest Earth Defence for £59 from Tesco, Scorpion Pyramid for £45 and Kings Carriage ambush for £24 from The Entertainer. All I needed to complete a few themes... Hoping for more next week with better discounts!

Today I went to WM and picked up Slave 1 and Mace Windu's Starfighter for 50% off. IF they still have them next week at 1 store I might pick up the PQ Pyramid.

I wouldn't call it a hall but 1 of each of the winter village sets and 1 burrows set, actually ended up buying more regular priced items than sale items.

I myself have gotten ( from christmas presents , self reward ..etc)

#7929 Battle of Naboo ( love the 10 droids it comes with and the new Gungans)
    #7959 Geonosian Starfighter
#7913 Storm trooper battle pack ( love the detail on the ARF trooper and the bomb squad trooper)
#7569 Prince of Persia Desert attack ( was only $7.99 plus the assassins it comes with are legit)
#7572 Prince of Persia Quest Against Time ( got it about 3 hours ago... fantastic set)
#4865 Harry Potter the Forbidden Forest ( the minifigs are superb)
    #4737 Harry Potter Quidditch Set
#4866 Harry Potter Knight Bus ( I recommend due to the high count of purple bricks..great for Mocs plus it comes with a shrunken head piece)
    #4736 Harry Potter Freeing Doby

its not much but I follow certain themes and I find these buys fantastic. Since I am still a student an I dont have much money ( too many concerts and trips to Panera bread) but its pretty good considering I only get $30-40 a month doing the paper

Well, it was limited - I had a few sets that I was really 'after' - but was not able to get out to the stores right away.

I did pick up from my local Walmart (with a 10% discount from previous transaction):
7326-1: Rise of the Sphinx for $22 (only one left)
3648: Police Chase for $11 (only one left)
-There was a TON of Ninjago sets, but because there was so many, I thought that I would wait a few days and see if the price drops.

From Craigslist and Ebay I found:
    5615: The Knight for $1.50
7097: Troll Mountain Fortress for $80
    4195: QAR for $80
5987: Dino Research Compound for $60 (Open Box, Bags sealed; missing instructions)

I am very content with my purchases. Outside of the Kingdoms realm (I own multiples of all sets) I did not find 2011 to be a GREAT year of sets for me, so I have been searching for older sets. It looks like 2012 will mean the same as 2011 for me.
