Dont suppose anybody has seen an emerald night on there travels today :(
So all in all here is what a got for a grand total of only $145!!!
4645 Harbor
3221 Lego Truck
7287 Police Boat
3661 Bank and Money Transfer
7239 Fire Truck
3366 Satellite Launch Pad
7286 Prisoner Transport
All for only $145!!! Gotta love the employee that put up the wrong sign!!!!!
I would not want to trash anything just for the sake of the baseplates..
Of course all of this is a mute point since the pyramid games are on back order..
I have not checked LEGO's site to see if they happen to have them listed a 'sold out' now or not.. Hmmm available.. wondering if I should try to put another order in in case LEGO 'forgets' about mine....
I would have bought things like more lighting repair vehicles, but I got a bunch of those from the Target sales for the same price about 2 months ago.
Ahhh, LEGO finally fixed their Sales and Deals to show all of the sale items now.
I'm cool with that. I hope it's not just a computer glitch that has allowed me to order out of stock items. There's no way it could have sold out entirely that quickly, right?
Still disappointed I missed out on the City LEGO trucks for 15 bucks though
to the till and... £57.39 each!!! I had no choice but to take them all. Sorry.
Apart from them there was nothing else that was sold out online and the rest isnt really worth a special trip as it can be obtained online with cashback as a bonus.
What a madhouse, the place was PACKED! And not with AFOLs, with parents buying stuff and returning stuff and exchanging stuff... The store manager told me there were 3 people waiting this morning, and they took the few Public Transports and Race Trucks they had, and left almost everything else.
I did end up buying a few things, I had some returns, so why not... Took the last 7 Tank Trucks they had, took the rest of the boxed Harry Potter stuff they had (which wasn't much and wasn't on sale, but it will be worth it I think). They did have ONE Imperial Flagship that someone had returned 5 minutes before, picked that up for $125, what a bargain!
What else? Two Police Boats, two Harry Potter Mini-Hogwarts Express (they had TONs of these @9.99), two Log Cabins, etc. A few small sets for the kids because I can't help myself. Ended up returning $511 worth of stuff and bought just over a thousand. Sheesh, I need a 12 step program. :)
The Ramses Pyramid was NOT $3.98, it was $9.98, and their computer thinks it should be $23 and change, but they are doing price overrides to get the $10 price. They have been told by corporate the $3.98 online price is wrong and the online orders should be all canceled. They did comment that it wasn't selling at $10, I told them about my order for 50 of them and that I did get a confirmation e-mail, they said that was a steal of a price for the baseplates alone.
I like having an AFOL and reseller friendly store. :)
Edit: I did fill up 2 Pick-A-Brick boxes, they are scanning them in, not just punching them out, so they want an electronic record of them this year. I have 68 more PAB boxes left, I have NO idea what I'm going to fill them with. Sigh...
Thanks for the update. I couldn't bring myself to drive to any of the 3+ LEGO stores that are within an hour's drive of me. I got my Target polybags, and got back to building another Republic Gunship. Also starting to think about finishing a MOC I began many many months ago.
first time ive been to liverpool for about 20 years, theyve done a heck of a lot of work to it, what a fantastic area by the docks now. v impressed.
nothing else was in the shop except the deals on the web. all the new stuff was in including friends.
Store #1 had Endors, Xmas sets and only a free other lessor sets.
Store #2 had Obi's, IF's, Xmas sets and lot's of random stuff including Atlantas & Invasion
Store #3 had Tantive's, Obi's, Plocoon's, Mace's, Battlepacks, Swamp, Freeco's and no Xmas on sale. I got their late and think they must of had DS's and Endor's as well.
Never made it to Store #4 (family time). Might just hit it in the morning as well as hitting #2 & #3 again. Don't feel like fighting LA traffic for Store #5 :P
Wallmart's -- nothing
Target's -- 15% at the most on stuff like Atlantis & the dessert stuff.
Grr... :)
Sure, we can call it "collecting" if you want... ;) No, I will never break them up and part them out, that would simply be a poor use of my time. If my kids were older, I would have them do it and turn it into a business, teach them something from their old man... :)
If Lego ships me the 50 Ramses Pyramid's that I ordered, I'll probably open 10 of them for the parts (the baseplates mostly) and the other 40 I'll sell over time. Or maybe I won't, perhaps they'll end up getting given away for presents. My wife suggested tonight that we give them as an item in the goodie bags that all the kids at school get when they do a party for our son. That is a pretty cool goodie bag item, is it not? :) I look forward to getting back to building. I have done almost no building in the month of December. Started GE just before Thanksgiving, just finished it on Christmas Day. How sad is THAT! Was having so much fun finishing that I jumped right into 10030 (UCS Imperial Star Destroyer for the 3 people here who don't know what that number is. ;)
Still working on it, but it will be slow until I deal with all these purchases... Just spent another few thousand today at Wally World, picked up some great deals, having lots of fun, and isn't that what Lego is all about?!? :)
edit: I will say that 10030 is great for building with someone, my wife and son are helping me with all the greebling, which has lots of 4x and even one 32x so far!!! I work on the main frame while they do that detail work. I have smaller kits for them to build while they are waiting for the next greebling part to come up. :)
as it appears it seems like they were yanked completely off of LEGO's site last night and I know someone said that the price was a mistake and all, but still.
Will they honor the 4 dollar per price?
AND has anyone seen them ship?
(The first guy that says he bought 50 of them and they shipped I guess explains why no one else will get theirs)
I have 6 city policy motorcycles coming, but to be honest I wanted to get a few Pyramids....
In the store, I would have used the Jedi mind trick to get Ramses for $4.
If they are indeed canceling orders due to a pricing mistake as rumored, that will make my blood boil. They make enough money to be able to absorb small errors like this.
Did anyone have an order cancelled that was placed earlier? And for those with cancellation e-mails, does the text mention lack of product availability or a pricing error?
