Does anyone know what time the Kingdoms Joust is supposed to be available? I'm on the Australian site, which had said "available 26 Dec" and there's only two and a half hours left of the 26th.

I'm assuming it will go on sale simultaneously on all the sites, but I'm wondering if a time was announced. I wanna go to bed. : )
On the U.S. site it has changed from "Dec 26" to "Coming Soon"

My brother's just walked in. I lied, the Imperial Flagship cost £100.09! Really pleased with that. Wonder why it wasn't on the list of discounts at all.

Don't dismantle the game boxes! They are great storage for baseplates and models. I used them to transport several City Vehicle models to a museum display I LUG NY has set up in Connecticut. The games boxes are the best. My friend told me you can even turn them inside out and fold them together and the other side is plain white.
Is this the layout at the Stamford Nature Center? We loved it! We spent at least an hour checking it out and have been talking about it for weeks. It's the best layout I've ever seen.

Well I went to target on a fluke and scored big time! They had some city sets marked down 15%, but sign in front of them said 30% off, so I got a manager and said this sign says 30 off but the price scanner rings up as 15 off, she said sign was wrong and changed it to 15 off right away but said she would give me the 30 off, well I go to the register with her and she gives me 30% off of the 15% off price!!!!!
So all in all here is what a got for a grand total of only $145!!!

    4645 Harbor
    3221 Lego Truck
    7287 Police Boat
    3661 Bank and Money Transfer
    7239 Fire Truck
    3366 Satellite Launch Pad
    7286 Prisoner Transport

All for only $145!!! Gotta love the employee that put up the wrong sign!!!!!

Thanks @bmwlego.. I was thinking about this last night and thought the same.. I can use them for parts holders/trays for sorting, etc..
I would not want to trash anything just for the sake of the baseplates..
Of course all of this is a mute point since the pyramid games are on back order..
I have not checked LEGO's site to see if they happen to have them listed a 'sold out' now or not.. Hmmm available.. wondering if I should try to put another order in in case LEGO 'forgets' about mine....

I would have bought things like more lighting repair vehicles, but I got a bunch of those from the Target sales for the same price about 2 months ago.

Ahhh, LEGO finally fixed their Sales and Deals to show all of the sale items now.

Nice, good for you.. there are some nice sets on there that I through would have been on sale for more....

Yea I wouldn't have bought any at the 15% off they were supposed to be, but for 30% I wanted them, just got the extra bonus of getting 30% off of the 15% off price, so that was a great deal! Glad I stopped at that Target, I never go to that one, coz its in a bad area, I will be going there a lot from now on as their shelves were full, even with Christmas decorations, my local Target was bare shelves all over the store.

Okay, so I managed to wake up randomly at 3:45am and checked the site again but the Joust was "sold out". I could still add it to the cart though, while it said it wouldn't ship for 30 days. So I assume it's not entirely sold out, but rather available stock is and more is on the way?

I'm cool with that. I hope it's not just a computer glitch that has allowed me to order out of stock items. There's no way it could have sold out entirely that quickly, right?
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,761
I was lucky and got in on a Target online BOGO for the banks and picked up a few for a decent price... but only about 25% off... :-)

Still disappointed I missed out on the City LEGO trucks for 15 bucks though

Didn't order anything off of the website, but called a few stores and got the last 3 winter toy shops a the Michigan ave store.

^ Si, I briefly visited Liverpool LEGO shop - sale items mirrored those online
  • bricknationbricknation Member Posts: 717
I went to Liverpool Store just before closing time and found a gem. 5 boxes of 8404 Public Transport looking forgotten on the top shelf. I didn't like any of the sets on sale so decided to go for the 8404 - even at full price it is cheaper than TRU has it. I took 2
to the till and... £57.39 each!!! I had no choice but to take them all. Sorry.
Apart from them there was nothing else that was sold out online and the rest isnt really worth a special trip as it can be obtained online with cashback as a bonus.

Just got back from the local Lego store (yea, I couldn't help it).

What a madhouse, the place was PACKED! And not with AFOLs, with parents buying stuff and returning stuff and exchanging stuff... The store manager told me there were 3 people waiting this morning, and they took the few Public Transports and Race Trucks they had, and left almost everything else.

I did end up buying a few things, I had some returns, so why not... Took the last 7 Tank Trucks they had, took the rest of the boxed Harry Potter stuff they had (which wasn't much and wasn't on sale, but it will be worth it I think). They did have ONE Imperial Flagship that someone had returned 5 minutes before, picked that up for $125, what a bargain!

What else? Two Police Boats, two Harry Potter Mini-Hogwarts Express (they had TONs of these @9.99), two Log Cabins, etc. A few small sets for the kids because I can't help myself. Ended up returning $511 worth of stuff and bought just over a thousand. Sheesh, I need a 12 step program. :)

The Ramses Pyramid was NOT $3.98, it was $9.98, and their computer thinks it should be $23 and change, but they are doing price overrides to get the $10 price. They have been told by corporate the $3.98 online price is wrong and the online orders should be all canceled. They did comment that it wasn't selling at $10, I told them about my order for 50 of them and that I did get a confirmation e-mail, they said that was a steal of a price for the baseplates alone.

I like having an AFOL and reseller friendly store. :)

Edit: I did fill up 2 Pick-A-Brick boxes, they are scanning them in, not just punching them out, so they want an electronic record of them this year. I have 68 more PAB boxes left, I have NO idea what I'm going to fill them with. Sigh...

@LegoFanTexas - I must admit, it is fascinating to see you sink deeper and deeper into collecting. The Ramses Pyramids are indeed an INCREDIBLE deal, but that seems to make you a different type of collector - one who may break up sets and piece them up on BrickLink? I know you also mentioned that you didn't have any interest in the ROI on that.

Thanks for the update. I couldn't bring myself to drive to any of the 3+ LEGO stores that are within an hour's drive of me. I got my Target polybags, and got back to building another Republic Gunship. Also starting to think about finishing a MOC I began many many months ago.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,333
My lego store only had 10% off a lot of sets. Nothing worth mentioning. I filled up my box. It was heavy!
  • DougoutDougout Member Posts: 888
Just went to mine and got the last two Tantive IVs they had for $105 each. And it was packed with parents and kids everywhere. The mall was ridiculous but worth it. Gonna try walmart after lunch with my family and maybe target, but the last target had absolutely no sets at all!!
  • Si_UKNZSi_UKNZ Member Posts: 4,179
@bricknation .. you have me to thank for those 8404s ... i popped in the liverpool store earlier and took 4 of them but left 5 on the shelf. as i didnt want to take them all. came back later to get 2 more but i guess you must have been visiting by then :) so got a joust instead. in retrospect, joust is better as i dont have much space in the car and plan to open it and build it now so itll take up even less room.

first time ive been to liverpool for about 20 years, theyve done a heck of a lot of work to it, what a fantastic area by the docks now. v impressed.

nothing else was in the shop except the deals on the web. all the new stuff was in including friends.

Thank you Si :) We must have been there at the same time. Receipt says 4:42pm. They filled the shelf with police stations within minutes.

One of the Lego stores I went to had a lot of Imperial Flagships. Thinking I'm going to be accommodating, I ask about limits -- big mistake. The guy says its normally 5 but he can check with his manager. Then he comes back and says 2. My brother-in-law comes in a bit later and picks up 3 or 4. Other stores I visited let me get 5 of each and probably could have purchased more.

Store #1 had Endors, Xmas sets and only a free other lessor sets.
Store #2 had Obi's, IF's, Xmas sets and lot's of random stuff including Atlantas & Invasion
Store #3 had Tantive's, Obi's, Plocoon's, Mace's, Battlepacks, Swamp, Freeco's and no Xmas on sale. I got their late and think they must of had DS's and Endor's as well.

Never made it to Store #4 (family time). Might just hit it in the morning as well as hitting #2 & #3 again. Don't feel like fighting LA traffic for Store #5 :P

    Wallmart's -- nothing
Target's -- 15% at the most on stuff like Atlantis & the dessert stuff.

Wow, you have 4 stores around you and they had IFs? And you didn't buy them all?

    Grr... :)
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
Care to PM me the names of the stores? I'm sure they would be happy to ship them to me. :)
  • CoolsplashCoolsplash Member Posts: 935
I personally did not like anything worth the trouble and already have the items on sale. But the LEGO Games is creating quite a stir. Are those really worth it??
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
@LegoFanTexas - I must admit, it is fascinating to see you sink deeper and deeper into collecting.
Collecting? That has such a nice ring to it... ;)

Sure, we can call it "collecting" if you want... ;)

No, I will never break them up and part them out, that would simply be a poor use of my time. If my kids were older, I would have them do it and turn it into a business, teach them something from their old man... :)

If Lego ships me the 50 Ramses Pyramid's that I ordered, I'll probably open 10 of them for the parts (the baseplates mostly) and the other 40 I'll sell over time. Or maybe I won't, perhaps they'll end up getting given away for presents. My wife suggested tonight that we give them as an item in the goodie bags that all the kids at school get when they do a party for our son. That is a pretty cool goodie bag item, is it not? :)

I look forward to getting back to building. I have done almost no building in the month of December. Started GE just before Thanksgiving, just finished it on Christmas Day. How sad is THAT! Was having so much fun finishing that I jumped right into 10030 (UCS Imperial Star Destroyer for the 3 people here who don't know what that number is. ;)

Still working on it, but it will be slow until I deal with all these purchases... Just spent another few thousand today at Wally World, picked up some great deals, having lots of fun, and isn't that what Lego is all about?!? :)

edit: I will say that 10030 is great for building with someone, my wife and son are helping me with all the greebling, which has lots of 4x and even one 32x so far!!! I work on the main frame while they do that detail work. I have smaller kits for them to build while they are waiting for the next greebling part to come up. :)

@LegoFanTexas What I meant was, the other stores would let me buy in quantities of 5 of anything but only one store had the IF's. Would have cleaned them out if I could have ;) Have a feeling they will be coming in still over the next few weeks.

Some stores never discounted them in the first place. I picked up one Post Office to build next year but there's no point in buying anything other than the Toy Shop anyway -- at least as far as time use of money goes . . .
  • The_Brick_BuilderThe_Brick_Builder Member Posts: 658
@louislego I'd say since its still the holiday season. Maybe after new years, they'll be back on sale?
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,761
Has anyone else seen or heard anything more about the Pyramd sets?
as it appears it seems like they were yanked completely off of LEGO's site last night and I know someone said that the price was a mistake and all, but still.
Will they honor the 4 dollar per price?
AND has anyone seen them ship?
(The first guy that says he bought 50 of them and they shipped I guess explains why no one else will get theirs)

My order of 9 was canceled. So I'm stuck with a Zurg and Obi-Wan fighter - both were add-ons because I really wanted the Ramses.

I have 6 city policy motorcycles coming, but to be honest I wanted to get a few Pyramids....

  • prevereprevere Member Posts: 2,923
Exactly. Same thing happened with my IF purchase on BF. Grrrrr. Sorry Lego, sometimes you need to own up to mistakes on pricing. It's easy to do that I guess behind a computer.

In the store, I would have used the Jedi mind trick to get Ramses for $4.
  • canon03canon03 Member Posts: 363
Just received my cancellation on Ramses too. Hopefully we'll still get the survey link so we can express our disappointment.
  • giraffefrecklesgiraffefreckles Member Posts: 100
Yeah, received my cancellation for my one Ramses pyramid. If they were Nordstrom, they would have scoured their database and shipped me one from a store, to keep their advertised word. I may yet write them an email...

If they are indeed canceling orders due to a pricing mistake as rumored, that will make my blood boil. They make enough money to be able to absorb small errors like this.
  • rocaorocao Administrator Posts: 4,290
No cancellation for my Ramses Pyramid order yet. The timestamp on my order is 10:50pm PST (1:50am EST). The order status is "in process" and no longer "customer service".

Did anyone have an order cancelled that was placed earlier? And for those with cancellation e-mails, does the text mention lack of product availability or a pricing error?

If your order was placed after, you're free to feel very upset, but imo it would be unwarranted.

One of my order of 20 shows shipped.

@rocao. I placed mine very close to yours, as I got a cancellation email for Ramses at 1:56 am EST and an order confirmation at 1:57am. However, upon closer inspection, the cancellation email actually promises later ship date while the order status says that it's outright cancelled!

Thank you for ordering from shop.LEGO.com. Unfortunately, the item(s) listed below are currently out of stock and it will be a little longer before we can ship them to you.

If you made your payment via credit card, please note that while we will authorize your card shortly. It will not be charged until your item(s) ship(s). You will receive an email notification at that time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. If you’re worried your order will not arrive in time and you would like to change or cancel it, please contact us at 800-835-4386.

If it makes you feel better, Lego has canceled my order of these. :)

@1265 It makes me feel a little better that someone was able to get the Ramses deal. Maybe they actually did just run out of stock? Still seems as though their inventory system should be 'smart' enough to stop taking orders when supply is depleted.

My order of 12 of them was around 12:30am EST (where do you find the exact time stamp?). It was cancelled today:
