70740-1: Airjitzu Jay Flyer

WatfordScottyMWatfordScottyM Member Posts: 507
My son has the Airjitzu Jay Flyer today for his birthday, but when we opened it there were a number of pieces missing.  Jay's ninja hood, a few of the weapons and some other small pieces.  There's only one bag in these sets, so it's a little weird that there are random pieces missing from a bag.

Has anyone else experienced this or is it likely to just be a one off?  How likely are Lego to send me replacement pieces?

I've never had a set missing pieces.  Lego  Customer Service will certainly be responsive in solving the problem.

I have had sets with missimg pieces not a lot but a hand full of times, latest being a wing from the ant man set.  Go to the website and under missing pieces and you can get them. Takes a few days but I normally get them within a week.

I counted them up and there's a total of 17 pieces missing!  :(

Are you sure it hadn't been opened before? Where did you purchase it?

Nope, all 3 seals were intact and the bag inside was sealed too.  Not sure where it was from though as it was a present.  All missing pieces ordered from the Lego website.

I was missing Sauron's staff from my Wizard Battle. I filled in the online form and Lego sent it out no problems.

With that many missing pieces in your set, I would probably make a phonecall rather than try to submit it online.
