I know it can be bought from LEGO stores, but there are none in Connecticut. Does it come from Target or Walmart, as I know it doesn't come from TRU. The reason I'm looking for it is because I missed Harley and the Riddler the last time.

I don't know either, but I will be purchasing! Hopefully, [email protected] still has free shipping and then it won't matter what B&M carries it.

Is the Dec 15 [email protected] date worldwide?
  • brickupdatebrickupdate Member Posts: 1,020
Nope. I saw it at LEGO store today.
  • clowndiscuslegoclowndiscuslego Member Posts: 97
it just must be a hard one to get
what about the bat cave? were can we find that one?

  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
It may be a Lego store exclusive that other stores may be able to carry in the future like the apet Shop or Fire Brigade.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
They may sell it at the LEGO store, but it can still be considered an "exclusive." Like Luke's Landspeeder (8092) being a Wal-Mart "exclusive." You won't find it at TRU/Target/Meijer. Only at Wal-Mart (and [email protected]/LEGO stores).
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
But the packaging does not say "exclusive" or "special edition" like Walmart, Target or TRU packaging.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
^ Ah, true. Wasn't the PotC Fountain of Youth a Target exclusive? I don't recall it having the "Special Edition" bit on the box either. What recent sets have had that?
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
Toys R Us had both of the $20 PotC sets. I'm not sure the "exclusive" and/or "special edition" labels are requirements. As no one had previously seen this set before, I would bank on it being an exclusive since those would not be in the retailer catalogs. And since TRU is already selling DC sets, perhaps its just not their exclusive.
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Naboo Starfighter (Target exclusive) and Mace Windu's Fighter (WalMart exclusive) are two recent examples I guess. Both do have the Special Edition on them.

The Naboo Starfighter is the current exclusive for Target, preceeded by Cad Bane's Speeder. Mace Windu's Starfighter is the current Walmart one, preceeded by Luke's Landspeeder. TRU has the new Hoth Echo Base as well as the Battle for Geonosis and was preceeded by the Republic Swamp Speeder. I think they now carry a yellow stripe on the side which says "special edition" if it is truly exclusive to one chain of stores (besides [email protected]).

    Really?!?
I picked one up at the Lego store in Aventura today and they had two shelves full!!
I'm actually trying to find the Catwoman set. Anyone seen it? Or is it not out yet?

BTW I LOVE the Superman set. The robot is just very fun to build and pose.

@MattPetersen - Hard to Find in the catalog usually means it's available at only one retailer, not that quantities are otherwise scarce.

I saw a couple of Bat Caves in stock at a Target in South Texas. I've read elsewhere of findings at Target. Not to say that it's exclusive, but they're definitely the first to get a hold of stock in stores it seems. Priced the same as [email protected]$69.99.
  • clowndiscuslegoclowndiscuslego Member Posts: 97
nice to see target has them in texas already they have not done a reset here yet
  • Bosstone100Bosstone100 Member Posts: 1,431
@MattPetersen - they had all of the Super Hero sets at Sawgrass.

Anyone have a DPCI code for Batcave at Target?
  • llanowarsoldierllanowarsoldier Member Posts: 357
I finally saw the Batmobile set at Target by me, but going to wait until the Lego Store gets in their shipment of them so I can get VIP points.

    Excellent!! (guitar rifts here)
I want the Catwoman Minifig (and so does my wife, I have to keep constant vigils on Harley Quinn).

I can't seem to find the post that linked to the Target DPCI search utility. If someone could reference that link or post I would appreciate it.
  • clowndiscuslegoclowndiscuslego Member Posts: 97
that would be great to have that link, i could use batcave
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
Here is the link (using Batcave DPCI), just replace the dpci code in the URL with the appropriate one.

I ordered my SuperHero stuff on December 15th and the final box (Fun House) just came in today. The Catwoman, Batman (Hero Factory sized) and Joker (Hero Factory sized) came in before Christmas. I REALLY like the Fun House set. Very Nice Lego!!!

These sets (especially the funhouse) seem pretty reasonably priced...anyone agree, or am I just getting too used to the high prices?
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
I just wish TRU didn't mark up the Batcave to $90. That is $20 over MSRP.
  • choob99choob99 Member Posts: 147
My target had all the new Super Heroes stuff except the funhouse, so I assume the funhouse is indeed a TRU exclusive, and I agree @tk79 the prices for these sets seems reasonable
  • OdinduskOdindusk Member Posts: 763
TRU is a festering plague and I'm disgusted that some of you support them.

    (only half joking)

Yes, it's a very reasonably-priced line for a licensed theme. Bravo to LEGO.

I got my very first Super Heroes set 2 days back. The Batwing one. Paid $29 for it, also got City Police Pursuit, Venomari Shrine, and 3 Ninjago Booster packs, paid $28 in shipping. Go figure.

The funhouse is backordered to March, pushed back from early February yesterday. Crazy sell-throughs for this awesome set.

Maybe they're subsidizing it with the outrageously priced Star Wars sets. :-)

I think that's why I chose this set over all the others as my first Super Heroes set. Seem to get more bang for your buck. Especially like the 5 figs and the playability of it. Just wish I could get hold of more of that track....anyone know if this is available in other (cheaper sets)?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
The same black curved track comes in the AC mothership. Also came in IJ Temple of Doom, but in dark bley. The black ramp pieces only come in the funhouse. Came in dark bley in IJ. In looking at photos of the upcoming mining sets it appeared there would be black straight track, which will be nice.

^^ Cheapest way would proabably be to phone up Lego Direct with the part number and order directly
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
For the curve the part color code is 4621929.
Here's the Bricklink entry, avg price is around $0.55 - $0.60.

Picked up the Funhouse at TRU Saturday to take advantage of the $10 off $50 purchase (coupled with the small yellow Creator jet). After sale and Rewards Dollars they both came out to $27 total. Not bad for $60 plus tax worth of LEGO.

This is the only way to shop at TRU-sales and other money saving techniques because they rip you off while Geoffrey counts the profits right in front of your face.

I've been to every kmart, walmart, toysrus, and other stores that carry lego this month and have not been able to find this set. They all had the other sets with superman/two face/batcave/catwoman/batplane and the hero factory type figures but none had the funhouse escape or even shelf space for it.
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
this one for some reason is hard to find. I think it might be exclusive to a single retailer, but not sure which one. That said, even the LEGO store can't get it in stock, as there is clearly some sort of major supply issue on this item.

The LEGO brand store I visited at the weekend was sold out too.

Im guessing your in the states but it has been very hard to find over here in the UK too. I think it might be an exclusive.

@super_curry_max - In the U.S., the Funhouse is exclusive to Toys R Us.
  • dougtsdougts Member Posts: 4,110
found at bunch at TRU today, along with all the new SW stuff. Seems like TRU must have just shipped a bunch of these out to their stores.
