  Do you mean brick built, or moulded animals? For moulded, there are categories like this at bricklink

  The list from Bricklink is a good help, but you have to do searches for other categories as well, since it's just land animals. My favorite dolphin isn't included, just to mention one.

  Maybe moulded animals should be treaded more like minifigures, in 9473 the Troll and Skeleton are minifigures I would like the T-Rex and even bears and so on to be added but I guess its going down a slippery slope.

  Yes, I just did the land animals link, you also need to check water and air.
