That's why I hate that place. I finally was able to go in (it's way out of the way from my house AND work). I never get to go there, which most of the time doesn't bother me until they have exclusive figures.

But they finally had the promo and they were very strict on not selling it by itself. Obviously managers run things differently, but I'd like to see some consistency. With that said, I asked my LUGmates if any of them get any extras to grab me some. Needless to say one said they grabbed 6 earlier in the week by themselves without making the promo purchase....of course.

I ended up buying a set to make sure I got at least one of the figure, but I didn't want to pay the bloated price. I picked up the Dilophosaurus set. I don't care much for the set or figures, but the dino looks cool. I don't think it is worth $35 though.

Geez. We can only hope Target gets Joker's Bumper Car. I won't mind paying $4.49 instead of $3.99 just to avoid TRU.

I don't wonder why TRU has persistent financial problems...

    Their inventory procedures are lackluster.

I bet TRU employees can (and probably do) make more money buying up some of the rarer polybags and reselling them on eBay than they do in their TRU paycheck. Kind of like some Gamestop employees do with their Lego polybags...

Not certain on that, as I know there is an AFOL that works at a TRU near me, but yet they still get and having in stock the promo poly bags. So I would not be surprised if TRU either limits purchases of those who work there, or have some other way to stop that type of thing.

TRU in Glen Burnie Maryland has #30275 TIE Advanced for sale.
  • ChgoMattChgoMatt Member Posts: 107
#30314 Go-Kart Racer at Target in Golf Mill, Niles, IL.   #30275 TIE Advanced Prototype at the TRU across the street.  Still no sign of Simpsons Series 2 at either store.
  • MilcheaxMilcheax Member Posts: 52
I picked up a handful of Simpsons MF S2 last night at Wal-mart in Deptford, NJ, however the display box, which was laying nicely on a top shelf in the LEGO aisle, was solidly picked through.

I got the Go-Kart racer by happenstance - it was the only one on a hook in the register lanes at the Target in Sicklerville, NJ.  (All of the remaining items were older items.)
  • SithLord196SithLord196 Member Posts: 1,161
Yeah, the Go-Kart has shown up in Targets here in my part of PA too.

The odd part is they took away all the old ones from the register lanes, and no sign of them anywhere else in the store.

@Solarious Haha sorry I haven't logged on in a while, You probably already went. But definitely spend some time at the LEGO store, its great. As for Disney itself, I haven't been in there in years so I'm not too sure... Always been a fan of star tours though :)
And if you have time, take the one hour drive to Carlsbad and visit LEGOLAND, use a shoppers pass and go check out the builds real quick :D

    Yeah
    I already went
    Kinda
I had some wicked food poisoning or something and was puking blood the day the family went to the Lego store
Saw pictures though and my wife bought me enough stuff to get the Spiderman and Ninjago polybags so it wasn't a complete loss

Found #30320 at Toys R Us tonight.  Guess it isn't exclusive to the video game preorder.

PS had to go to page 9 for this thread.. jeesh.

Could  you  buy it separately or did you  only get it with the game?
  • graphitegraphite Member Posts: 3,275
Separate.  They had them on the shelf for $3.99

I found the Gallilimus Trap polybags today at the TRU in Franklin, TN.

No #30320 Gallimimus at Bellevue, WA TRU. Just a couple of lonely leftover Ninjago Dareth vs. Nindroid, #30188 Creator Kitty and #30112 Friends Flower stands. Saved me from spending any $$$ there. :)

I think there is supposed to a promotion for the Jurassic world poly starting June 21 and for sale afterwards.  So if you don't find it right away, be patient.
  • solid_stridersolid_strider Member Posts: 209
I bought a couple of the Jurassic World poly yesterday at TRU but they were flagged as not supposed to sell until June 21. They overrode it to complete the transaction, but the cashier mentioned that they were supposed to take them off the floor.

Thanks for the info. I figured there was something up when the store that I normally go to for figures saw them in the system with a price, but had not received them (which to me is better than 'we got them but someone bought all of them and now we are out')
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,755
Anyone hear of any more TRUs by them having these Jurassic world #30320 bags for sale?
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,827
I know the Toys R Us on Western Ave in Chicago had them a few days ago. Tried to buy a couple but they said they where for the 21st and wouldn't sell me any. Today I was at the Toys R Us in Algonquin and saw someone with a handful. When I tried to find them they were gone so don't known if they were sold out or they pulled them.
  • Thanos75Thanos75 Member Posts: 1,120
I was able to pick up a couple but the manager had to over ride the purchase. They had them on the rack right next to the Tie Fighter poly bags.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,755

My guess is they will wind up on a rack as they have the little hole punches in the top of the bag for a display, but the TRU near me said they had them but could not find them. Then another manager said something about being available for those who go tot he gate build promo but if they run out of the gate build pieces or something like that.

#30320 showed up at TRU here with the usual "spend $30 on any Lego set" promotion
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,755
You can buy #30320 at TRUs right now. Well I should that YMMV on that as Im sure some will stop those from buying them outright due to the promo, but some TRUs have them available for sale as well, but you may need to ask as even though they have sprue holes for a display they may still hold them behind the desk. I think these are different than others liek Rocket and Electro as they have the spot on the bag to put a hook in for a hanging display
  • SithLord196SithLord196 Member Posts: 1,161
My local TRU had the kitten polybag for $2.48 on clearance. Obviously this will be highly YMMV, but figured I'd toss it out there.
  • dannyrwwdannyrww Member Posts: 1,394
The sold us two of the Gallimimus trap sets despite the promotion (Brookfield, WI). I have a hunch these will not be around. Unlike Rocket Raccoon, they are doing this promotion at the height of the film's popularity and if the mini build is any judge they will be gone quick.  It is also the cheapest way to get a cool looking dinosaur which is perfect for kids who don't have $30-$50 on hand I'm also noticing that Jurassic World sets in general are selling out for the most part.
  • novicebuilder101novicebuilder101 Member Posts: 130
I just love the Jurassic Park polybag. There's also a printed Jurassic Park/World logo tile that comes with the set that will be hard to get after this set is gone. My local TRU sold these before the build event and I grabbed 6 of them for the cool dino and printed tile. This is the best polybag since the trash cart.

My TRU has them stashed at the registers, where they can give one promo item with qualifying purchase.  I actually like them taking the initiative to give better access to the promo, even if it means I cannot easily build a small army of dinos.

My guess is at the end of the week if any are left in the store they will likely be available for sale.

YMMV. My local TRU would not sell me any until after the promotion ends. Since I rarely get to that store being 20 minutes away from where I do any of my other shopping, I doubt I will go back up after the promo. I'd spend the same in gas just to go buy the polybag.

My local TRU had the 30320 sets out for sale for $3.99 yesterday with a sign stating '1 free with any $30 purchase' so I bought 8 and got 1 free without any hassle.

The list of hold dates at TRU has been updated with a bunch of polys added (possibly future promotions):

8/9 Lego Super Heroes the Joker Bumper Car (listed previously)
    10/25 Lego Star Wars AT-DP 30274
11/1  Lego Elves Azari Magic Fire
    11/1  Lego Star Wars Episode 7 C3PO
    11/8  Ninjago Anacondrai Battle Mech
    11/15 Lego City Space Vehicle
    11/29 Lego City Demolition Driller
    12/6 Lego SH Avengers Hulk
    12/13 Lego SW Storm Trooper
    12/20 Lego Christmas Tree

I haven't seen any other info about the C3PO or Hulk listings, and not sure if the Storm Trooper is the Sargeant poly.

Thanks @NeilJam . Interesting if the Hulk will be the same as the the one already released of if this will be different. Also interesting to see the demo driller being available via TRU as well.

Nice find! I assume Hulk will be a new one, probably on the AoU version. Super awesome stuff.

Hoping the Avengers Hulk is made available down here, still annoyed we didn't get the #30304 Quinjet. Wouldn't mine #30274 either, curious one seeing C-3PO, the Ninjago Mech & the Space Vehicle.

Could  it be banner changing into hulk?

^I'd like that better. I'd tend to think polybags contain already released figures, but we have seen a lot of unique figures in polybags of late (Dareth, Rocket Racoon, various exclusive polys for videogame preorders).

TRU currently has the #30320 on the website with no limits for $3.99 each. Free shipping over $49. They probably won't last long as I found out via Brickpicker.
