Guys,

Is there anyone who has a lego software package to design a lego template for aligning inverted slope bricks to fit an ikea large ribba square frame?  (god that was long winded!)

The plan is to evenly space 48 inverted slopes to some card that fits inside the large square ikea ribba frame (with the ikea frame surround still in place) Sadly I don't have enought lego bricks, plates, bars etc to make an actual template.   The thing I am looking for is something like this but for the LARGE frame not the small one.  ----  http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=41257707#post41257707  (post number 15038

I will be laying out the slope bricks as follows: 8 slopes horizontal rows x 6 vertical columns.

    I'm currently making a few of these frames. I made my own template (which was then placed into the frame, the bricks glued into the holes and the template removed) using my own somewhat shoddy mathematics but the first one came out alright. If some one has a more scientific way of doing it then I'd also be keen to know. The how to's online seem to mainly show the end result rather than the how to!

    Many thanks andhe, that is exactly what I need to make, but I am short on bricks/plates etc. :(

    I made it using strips of card as spacers. But this was for a smaller frame.

    You should be able to make such a template with some thick but easily cut material, a crafting knife, a ruler, and a pencil. If you want more precise accuracy in terms of marking then there are many paint or vector drawing programs that will let you draw so that it's printed out to an exact scale.

    I go there in the end and managed to cobble together a basic lego template for 8 x inverted slopes wide.  Did a row of 8 at a time and then moved the template on top of the previous line of 8 slopes.  Now got 6 lines of 8 slopes with star wars minifigs about to go in.  :)

    Blimey, touchy much?  I sincerely wanted to know if you had a picture as I wanted to try the same.  I have made my own for now, which I will post if anyone wants to see.
